Create Object dropdown menu not displaying

Hi Guru's,
We are facing an issue with our Oracle WCI 10gR3 portal.
We have got several community administrator groups to which community administrators are added. These groups have activity rights like create portlets, create snapshot query, etc associated with them, which enable the different community administrators to create thier own community objects.
This was working fine until somedays back, however we noticed that now, if we add a person to one of these community administrator groups, the CREATE OBJECT drop down menu does not appear under Administration section for the community administrators.
Please can someone help us with this as we are facing severe flak from the community administrators.

off the top of my head check to make sure that the group has rights on that folder. if they do not have admin rights on that admin folder they will not see the create objects dropdown...try that and post a reply.

  • Creating a dropdown menu from an image hotspot

    How do you create a dropdown menu from an image hotspot? For
    example, this website is a single jpg image with links generated
    from hotspot coordinates on the image. Can I have someone click on
    a hotspot and a dropdown menu appears?
    Thanks in advance for the help!

    Unfortunately, everyone knows, but nobody wanted to tell you.
    Given this fact -
    > this website is a single jpg image with links generated
    from hotspot
    > coordinates on the image.
    one can assume that you are not very experienced with DW or
    even with HTML.
    In that case, the practical answer to your question would be
    "no".
    To create a 'drop-down' menu, you need to have a full web
    page (not just an
    image with image maps), containing a menu HTML structural
    element. While
    you *could* just place hidden elements on the page that would
    only be
    revealed (i.e., drop-down) when your image maps are rolled
    over, the
    practical reality is that this would be an extremely awkward
    construct, and
    not only most likely beyond the ken of someone who is
    inexperienced, but
    also just plain 'not right'.
    Sorry to give you the bad news.

  • Iweb + dreamweaver CS4 + dropdown menu not working on all pc's

    I created a dropdown-menu on CS4 DW, pasted it in html doc. and is part of my iWeb created site.
    Looks ok on apple: safari/firefox/iphone.. but on any pc does not matter which browser, it looks awfull, and the jumpmenu simply is not working.. what can I do to correct this?
    Thanks.

    By jumpmenu are you referring to the navbar at the top? It's well known that IE is not friendly with iWeb's navbar. The workaround for that is to create your own Text Based Navbar.
    As far as the drop down menu, is it java based or html based? I'm not familiar with what does an does not work with IE as I don't do windows so can't help you anymore there.

  • How to create a dropdown menu with sub buttons that link back to the labels on click.

    im trying to create a dropdown menu buttons that when you rollover to the top central button the button it opens up like a drop down menu would containg two other subsectional buttons. This makes the sub sectional buttons seperate from the main stage making it difficult to simply give them a on click,  sym.play("label") function.
    the buttons work like this in symbols or sections stage/panel/homebutton inside home button is group dev containg another group dev containg the button which I need to link back to a "label" in the /panel/ symbol or section. Thank you very much.

    Hi!
    I would like to create a DVD menu that offers two languages. So the first page gives two options: Language 1 and Language 2. Then depending on which language you choose, you go to a menu that proposes different videos and a photo slideshow.
    Regardless on which language button you click on initially, you get the same content but in different languages.
    I've been looking at Premiere's templates, which I can certainly customize, but I really don't see how to create the double menu. Does anybody have an idea?
    Put the video with the first language on the timeline followed by the video with the second language.  Use chapter markers so you can have each video as a chapter in the menu.
    I use Premiere Pro, so I can't give more specific directions. Perhaps somebody like ATR will chime in.
    Also, I have another question: can I put videos from different projects in the same DVD with Premiere or must all of the videos that go into the DVD be in the same project?
    Thank you very much!!!

    They must be in the same project.

  • Using fluid grid layout in Dreamweaver CC - how do I create a dropdown menu within my main navigation?

    I am new to using the responsive fluid grid layouts in Dreamweaver CC - and I am unable to find any information on creating a dropdown menu within my main navigation.
    Any ideas?

    You'll need to find a menu system that is responsive and mobile friendly for touch screen devices.
    If you have a budget to work with, Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic3 is a commercial extension for DW that works great out of the box.
    http://projectseven.com/products/menusystems/pmm3/index.htm
    If you don't have a budget, you'll need to create a desktop menu and add a jQuery plugin for mobile devices.

    Hi lakshita,
    Would you please check whether you can go to the page:

    http://siteurl/default.aspx page? If so, go to Site Features in site settings page, reactivate the Wiki Page home page feature, check the result.
    If not, please check whether there is related information in ULS log and event viewer log file? Does the page shows page not found or other errors? Check whether the site can be opened in other machine?

  • Creating a vertical dropdown menu that displays inline

    I would like to change how my dropdown menu displays.  First I'd like for it to dropdown directly underneath its menu item and in the process move the other links down.  And remain visible until it is clicked again, thereby shifting other links back up.
    Here is what I am trying to accomplish:
    Main menu:
    main link 1
    main link 2
    main link 3
    main link 4
    Then when user clicks on a link:
    main link 1
       sub item
       sub item
       sub item
    main link 2
    main link 3
    main link 4
    And for it to remain displayed like the above until clicked again.
    So in essence it could even look like this as a user is navigating:
    main link 1
       sub item
       sub item
       sub item
    main link 2
       sub item
       sub item
       sub item
    main link 3
       sub item
       sub item
       sub item
    main link 4
       sub item
       sub item
       sub item
    And then each submenu disappear as its main link is clicked again.
    Hope this makes sense and hope someone can help.
    Thanks!

  • DW CS4 Horizontal Spry drop down menu not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer 8

    Hi,
    I have created a horizontal Spry drop down menu in Dreamweaver CS4 with my own background images. I have done various modifications to the CSS script to accommodate the style and feel needed; including making the main buttons' height twice the size of the sub menu buttons and some alignments. It seems to work different depending which browser is used.
    It works well in Google Chrome.
    It works well in Firefox with the exception that if any of the buttons are clicked, thereafter a thin black line is diplayed horizontally across center of the top main buttons when the mouse rolls over them. I would like to correct this but is not nearly as bad as the problem I'm having in Internet Explorer 8.
    Here is my biggest concern and I would greatly appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this matter.
    Once opened in Internet Explorer 8 the main navigation buttons appear as they should. IE8 prompts me the following: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options..". Once I allow IE8 to run scripts or ActiveX controls, the background image disappears and only shows on any menu or submenu button when the mouse rolls over that particular button. Can someone please help.
    The menu can be seen at work by clicking on this link:

    This file handles the JavaScript for Spry Menu Bar.  You should have no need
    to edit this file.  Some highlights of the MenuBar object is that timers are
    used to keep submenus from showing up until the user has hovered over the parent
    menu item for some time, as well as a timer for when they leave a submenu to keep
    showing that submenu until the timer fires.

    Jose H.

    Hello Nancy,
    I was troubleshooting For the next 8 hours after my post here and eventually I got it right, I uploaded the files to the test server and at the time did not have the chance to post the solution here. This is why, as you saw, it is working correctly now.  Both the CSS and HTML files needed modifications. While working on the code I had to run IE8, Chrome and Firefox simultaneously and refresh all three after every change in the code because what would fix the problem in one would cause a problem for the other.
    In addition to the problems listed in my original post, there were also other graphical issues in IE8, such as; the main menu buttons without sub-menus would only display at half their size vertically. The border around the buttons would not display despite that the background images were rendered in Photoshop as flattened JPEGs with boarders as part of the background image. Being so, I removed all borders from the CSS script.
    By the way.. the IE8 security measure did pop up while working from the server.
    Anyhow for those of you who are experiencing similar problems you can take a look at the working code bellow and compare it to the initial code. I've included detail comments on every line I have changed, modified or added.
    Good luck.. as I know it can become a complicated task when creating custom Spry menus.
    <b>Here is the finished CSS script</b>

  • Dropdown Menu Not Covering Side Navigation Menu

    Hello,
    I have a page with a top navigation bar that includes dropdowns and a side navigation bar.  The problem I am having is that the dropdowns are not covering over the sidebar menu, but seem to be blending with it on the same level.
    If you look at my page:
    http://mymajesticwindow.com/testing/dhHighlights
    go to PRODUCTS and you can see what is happening.  Any ideas as to why this might happen?  Not sure if this is a CSS or HTML issue so I included both below.

  • Dropdown menu not showing entries

    Hello. I created a fillable form in Acrobat XI using text boxes, check boxes, and dropdown menus. The first issue is when the form is opened on a tablet running Windows 8.1 and using Acrobat Reader XI, the fields are not highlighted. The second issue (bigger one) is when the form is emailed from the tablet and opened on my laptop in the office, none of the dropdown menu fields are not populated at all. I have Acrobat Pro XI on the Windows 8.1 laptop. The text boxes and check boxes work fine. When I open the saved file in the tablet, the dropdown menus are populated.
    Interestingly, when the form is filled out, saved, and emailed from a Mac, the dropdown menus and check boxes work fine, but the entries in the text boxes are blank unless I click the field. Then they only show up until I click out of it.
    Any suggestions on how to fix these issues would be greatly appreciated.

    The problem with the ones you received from the Mac user is they used the Preview application, as opposed to Adobe Reader. Preview currupts PDFs in a number of ways and this behavior is an indication that it's corrupted. You can open the file in Acrobat, export the form data to FDF/XFDF, and import the from data into a blank, non-corrupted version of the form.
    Regarding the problem with the dropdowns when saved from the tablet, can you post a smaple form somewhere so we can take a look?

  • Dropdown menu not working in Firefox ubuntu

    We are trying to create a lockdown in Ubuntu where users are only allowed to use firefox without being able to print, edit/open settings, and are only allowed to use the extensions already installed by us (Java). In order to do this we created a new session in /usr/share/xsessions
    [Desktop Entry]
    Encoding=UTF-8
    Name=Kiosk Mode
    Comment=Firefox Kiosk Mode
    Exec=/usr/bin/firefox -height 900 -width 1440
    Type=Application
    When we start in this session, everything seems to work fine. Firefox starts, no menu's in the background. When firefox is closed, the session is closed too. With this session somehow the menu's cannot be opened with the mouse, but keyboard shortcuts still work.
    But the real problem is that the users need to go to a certain site which is using dropdown menu's. The problem is that when we use this session, users cannot open the dropdown menu's. They can only select an option by selecting the dropdown menu and use the arrows on the keyboard. We want them to be able to use the mouse to select an option in the dropdown.
    We are using Ubuntu 14.04.1 with Mozilla Firefox 32.0.3.
    Edit: In order to test this problem, I created a new virtual environment with the same session, but a new Firefox profile and no extensions. This gave exactly the same problem.

    At the moment I dont have any preferences locked. The site with the dropdowns are using javascript. But it is not only the dropdown on the site. But also the Firefox option buttons like opening the favorites menu or clicking the 'open menu' button are not working, even on a simple installation with only the desktop session as described above, so only starting Firefox.

  • Object Builder does not display

    I installed SAP Front End on my computer.
    I need to use program to assess SAP , so I need to use SAP R/3 DCOM Connector.
    After I do some setting in SAP R/3 DCOM Connector, and  when I connect to a destination, I find the connection is OK.
    But when I open the page which contains Object Builder, I find it does not display.
    My OS is windows 2000. I don' t have MTS in my computer, but there are Component Services. When I open  Component Services, I can't find anything related to SAP.
    Can anybody help me?

    Kurt, thanks for your replies.
    A couple of notes/clarifications.
    1.     You are correct that BI works better in Firefox--I have observed issues with the BI display when using IE.  I would recommend using Firefox too.
    2.     You are correct about the way to get to the Query Builder to see a graphical view of data tables.  There are basically two issues with this that I mentioned, but will re-iterate:
    a.  If you have an EXISTING query in the data set, then click the "Query Builder" button, this will remove the existing query that's there, it will NOT display the existing query in the query builder.  Query Builder works only to create a NEW query from scratch.
    b.  Query builder is limited to selecting 60 fields max in your query.  If you are creating a large report with many tables, you may find that 60 fields is not enough.  For that you will have to work in the SQL edit screen rather than using the query builder.
    I would impress on anyone developing CM14 reports that they become familiar with the database schema and relationships to avoid problems when developing your BI reports.  You should be able to find the tables and joins documentation in the knowledgebase.

  • Android – html with dropdown menu not working

    hi everybody,
    I'm creating a digital pubblication fo android and I'm testing it on an Asus tablet.
    I just have a big html widget showing a local web application. Everything works except a simple dropdown menu: when I tap on the button that should open the dropdown items, the button highlights itself, but the options don't appear.

    I'm sure it worked on a Samsung tablet (within the DPS app), and it works on the Asus if I access to the application via browser.
    it only doesn't work when loading it within the DPS app on the Asus device. is the tablet brand the problem?
    my android version is: 4.2.2.
    anybody can help me, please?
    thank you very much.

    it works with the native android viewer!
    but with this there's another problema (that the legacy one doesn't have): I have a simple form and the last text field appears beneath the keyboard.
    with the legacy viewer each time I move the focus from a textfield to the next one, the text field moves upwards to be visible (and not hidden by the keyboard).
    this is the code for the form:
    <div data-role="fieldcontain" class="text-field">
      <label for="firstname">Nome:</label>
      <input type="text" name="firstname" value="" placeholder="" class="required" id="firstname" />
      </div>
      <div data-role="fieldcontain" class="text-field">
      <label for="surname">Cognome:</label>
      <input type="text" name="surname" value="" placeholder="" class="required" id="surname" />
      </div>
      <div data-role="fieldcontain" class="text-field">
      <label for="surname">Indirizzo:</label>
      <input type="text" name="address" value="" placeholder="" id="address" class="required"/>
      </div>
      <div data-role="fieldcontain" class="text-field">
      <label for="email">Email:</label>
      <input type="email" name="email" value="" placeholder="" class="required" id="email"  title="Your error message" />
      <div class='error_message'></div>
      </div>
      <div data-role="fieldcontain" class="text-field note">
      <label for="message">Note :</label>
      <textarea name="message" id="message" placeholder="" ></textarea>
      </div>
      <div data-role="fieldcontain" class="text-field mail">
      <label for="email_shop">Email negozio:</label>
      <input type="email" name="email_shop" value="" placeholder="" class="required" id="email_shop"  />
