Create Outlines not working

I'm running ID CS6, v. 8.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.6.8. When I try to convert type to outlines, the Create Outlines option is grayed out. Also, it says 'Create Outlines menu' instead of just 'Create Outlines'.
I tried selecting the text box as well as just highlighting the text but neither worked. I also tried different fonts to make sure it wasn't font specific.
I trashed preferences and saved data and restarted. No change.

We use Font Explorer X Pro. No other plug-ins.
I tried replacing the create outlines plug in, but that didn't work. Then I went to Extensions Manager, and for some reason Create Outlines was not enabled. Not sure how that happened. Once I enabled it, everything seemed to work OK.

Outline not working

Hi,
I have table test_otln with column t1. I want to execute statement select * from test_otln. when this statement gets executed it should give me sorted data. this i am trying to achieve by creating ouline.
I have done the following steps but outline is getting used but its not sorting data.
Can anybody tell me how i can create outline for statement select * from test_otln order by t1 so that when we issue statement select * from test_otln outline for above statement is used and i get sorted data.
I hope i am clear what i want to say.

Can anybody tell me how i can create outline for statement select * from test_otln order by t1 so that when we issue statement select * from test_otln outline for above statement is used and i get sorted data.It seems that is not possible as documentation says (http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96533/outlines.htm#26679=)
There is a one-to-one correspondence between SQL text and its stored outline. If you specify a different literal
in a predicate, then a different outline applies. To avoid this, replace literals in applications with bind variables.

Final Cut Pro X - Create Archive not working with Yosemite!

Just upgraded my laptop to Yosemite and now I can't create any camera archives. I am not sure if it is my laptop or Yosemite that is causing the issue. I tried creating a camera archive with the same SD card on another machine (running Mavericks) and it worked fine. Anyone else having similar issues?

Oddly, still no luck. i was hoping to find something in the logs but FCPX keeps pretty quiet. My goal was to see if this feature was broken but since it is working for others, I will close this question.

Mpd database empty, --create-db not working

Out of nowhere mpd only shows one directory of files from my music directory. Not sure why it's doing this and I've tried several configurations that all work, except for this same problem. mpd gives me no errors. Any ideas?

Care to elaborate? Suddenly I can't get ANY of my music in my MPD database.
I gotta be honest: deprecating the --create-db SUCKS. At least when that didn't work it would spit an error message at me. I can't get it to say ANYTHING is wrong.

Create user not working!

Hello Everybody:
I am a beginner here. I was trying to create a user named turner, password as tur. I had following code.
SQL> connect scott/tiger;
Connected.
SQL> CREATE USER turner IDENTIFIED BY tur;
CREATE USER turner IDENTIFIED BY tur
*ERROR at line 1:ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
SQL>
System did not like it. It says scott has insufficient privileges. How can I look what privilege does scott have?
How can I add create user privileges to scott. Any response in this regards highly apprciated.

So, scott can work as dba.
Sys and system are the default database administrator users.
Both users are created automatically when database is created.
and They are granted the DBA role.
Sys is owner of the database data dictionary.
and his(her) password is change_on_install.
System is owner of additional internal tables and views used by Oracle tool.
Both sys and system are regual users, which are stored in the data dictionary.

I reinstalled Elements 12 after a crash. Editor and Create does not work. Getting "you must purchase" message. It was purchased already. What should I do?

Please help....purchased Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 in August. My hard drive crashed and I had to reinstall. Now Elements does not allow me to use editor or Create and keeps telling me to purchase the software I already have. What do I do?

This is not Adobe. Rather user to user.
From whom did you purchase Premiere Elements 12? Or, did you purchase from an authorize reseller?
Either way, you are well beyond the typical money back within 30 days of purchase type of arrangement.
But, as I said, this is not Adobe with whom you are communicating here. If you purchased from Adobe, then refund decisions are from Adobe.
If you purchased from an authorized reseller, then you need to deal with that company's refund policy.
I am surprised but glad that you got through to Adobe/Chat/Tech Support people. Typically they will only deal with current version/purchased/registered, and it is well into version 13 by now (13 was released September 24, 2014). When did you contact Adobe? Do you have a case number with Adobe Tech? Did it give you a troubleshooting scheme to follow? Were you supposed to get back to it? Did it work after your interaction with Adobe Tech?
Post 2 of this thread highlights the things that worked for me when I was in situations such as your with Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12.
Have you gone through the drills
a. determining if the problem exists with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled
b. creating a new User Account with Administrative Privileges and installing and running Premiere Elements 12 from there.

CRMM_ACCOUNT - Create BP Not Working, Modify BP Works

Hi,
   I have been working on the CRMM_ACCOUNT Application. The Account Modification functionality works fine, but when I try and create a Business Partner, it does not create it in the CRM System.
   I tried to set an External Break Point in the CRM_BSP_ACC_ACCMOD class, but it does not get triggered. Actually, the request comes back very quickly and there are no Status Messages.
   Is there something I need to check somewhere. I had a similar problem after I modified a Field Group, and I had to delete the BSP State to make it work again. Is there something similar here?

there might be a problem in your bp role (tran BUSD)..
check wether u r assigned all the related datasets or not
chek out your assigened all calling applications uder your BP role..
Second thing use transaction BUSP and generate a subscreen container..

One of the problems when using bfiles is that you must keep the filesystem files in sync with the database yourself.
Are you sure the file information in the bfiles don't contain images?
I wonder what you mean by "stran machine symbols"?
Are these machine image icons?

EPM 11.1.2.1 Consolidation Application (Create) does not work from workspace

We have installed and configured HFM, Planning, Essbase, FR, FDM in single server-Windows 2008 R2 SP1 (64-bit). We have checked all diagnostic logs and configuration is 100% successful. All the services start successfully. We can connect to foundation/workspace on 19000 port and create planning application successfully and also use it with no problem.
But when try to create Consolidation application, we get error as below:-
Description: Invalid or could not find module configuration 'hfm.appcontainer'.
Also the icon is not visible for all consolidation link under Navigate/Administer.
We have installed Java 7 and dotnet framework 4.5
Please help as we have reinstalled/reconfiguration numerous times and faced the same problem.

Have you reconfigure the Web Server after installing all the additional components? Usually, the icons are missing when you have not reconfigured the Web server after the installation and configuration of a component.

Create is not working

Hello again (i hope you are not bored of me )
i have a 10.2.0.0 building 1811
i'm trying to do the same example that is in the workshop of adf's
everything is good but when i am in the first page (a table with all the rows) and i create a new row (pressing the button that is created when i drag a create action) for a second time, in the other page is showing the row that have the focus and is not creating a new row
i presume that cut be some bug in the version or some configuration with the forward strut's because i have two forwards from the first page to the edit page
one called "Edit" and the other called "Create"

what about using a database sequence to fill in this value. In this case the field (attribute) could be set to DBSequence and ADF BC handles the case. If you want to continue with your approach then the duplicate key check needs to be done in the ADF BC View Object RowImpl class you create for the View Object. In here you can override e.g the set<Attribute> method.

Distiller 5.0.5 and Office 2000 - creating pdf not working

I am using XP Home Edition SP2, Distiller 5.0.5, and Office 2000
Can not make PDF with 2000 WORD or 2000 EXCEL.
- WORD: file > print > Distiller results in the conversion hanging up. The file can not be deleted from the print que until the computer is restarted. I can not create a postscript file by unchecking the "don't send fonts" check box and check "print to file". Doing so results in a "prn" file.
I can create PDF with PUBLISHER if I create a postscript file by unchecking "Dont sent fonts", checking "print to file", adding "ps" at the end of file name, then clicking on the ps file, does result in a pdf file
I can create pdf files with file > print > distiller in PhotoShop and PaintShop Pro

After creating the PRN file, open the file in Distiller and see if you get a PDF. If so, then look for AcroTray running in the background. If not, then you need to start it (it is in the Acrobat 5/Distiller folder).

Create type not working

I'm following the 8.1.6 documentation to create type, but it always returns me the error.

I think there's a mistake in the documentation. I may be wrong but I think it should always be CREATE TYPE x AS OBJECT (...)

Order of "New" button for creating project not working

In Project Server I've added several EnterPrise Project Types, and now I want to sort them the way I want in the "New" button in project center. But no matter what I do, the order is always the same. For instance, if I tick the box for the "Construction"
EPT, it does not go to the end of the dropdown list when you click the "New" button.
I have tried this in other deployments and it's working, so how can I debug this?

Have you configured the EPT order in the server settings, as per the section #11 in the following article?

In case you did, I've never heard or seen such a bug. I'd advice to recreate EPTs from scratch since they are just containers.

Create Network Not Working

I have created a network on my mac which my ipod touch has successfully connected to. When I try to use Remote and 1Password, my mac will detect the ipod but in the case of remote, when I enter the code my ipod displays it just verifies for ages in itunes then stops. What is wrong?

Howdy infernalcolonel,
It would be helpful if you gave a bit more info about the symptoms other than "it never works".
It sounds like you might be trying to create the ad-hoc wireless network from the Airport menu item and then trying to turn internet sharing on. In fact the Airport settings for this type of sharing are set up via the "Airport Options" button that is on the Internet Sharing pane.
Check that your Airport menu icon changes to a grey segment with an upward pointing arrow, and also click on it to verify the name of the network it has created.
I'd suggest that for first attempts you create your wireless network without a password and once you can successfully connect to that, implement a password.
If you've still got problems post a message back here with some more info about what exactly you're observing and doing.
