Create PDF fillable job application form for business website

I am trying to create a fillable job application for my company's website. However, it needs to be a PDF file (that is still editable). Is there any way to do this on a Mac? I am a first time Mac user, and so far everything has been super confusing. I am running Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2.
Mainly- do I need to purchase Adobe Pro to accomplish this, or is there another option? And how do I even begin?

We are running E-Recruiting 6.0. We are currently using an EEO questionnaire for external candidates. We would like to add a Questionnaire in Application Form for both internal and external candidates, however when we added questionnaires to the application wizard for internal candidates, they also get the EEO questionnaire.
Is it possible to suppress the EEO questionnaire for internal candidates, but allow the other questionnaire? Can this be done through configuration, or will it require a bsp modification and to what bsp?

How to assign SmartForms to Application Forms for SAP ISU

Hi Experts,
We are going to use PWB for bill printing in SAP ISU.
I have worked with ECC6.0 for PWB and seen that there is an option available to assign Smart Forms to the Application form in EFRM with selecting SmartForm option available in a dropddown. And for transaction EFCS creating FormClass the checkbox is available to make it usable for SmartForms.
But we are using SAP R/3 4.6C. But these option i am not able to see in 4.6C.
Can anyone guide how we can use and assign SmartForms for Release 4.6C.

Thanks for the reply, but what about doing DML on other tables in other schemas. The DBA has created roles and granted permission to the user and they can do DML thru SQL plus without problem but when same operation is attempted thru Oracle forms ORA-40508 and object does not exist errors come up.
How does a forms knows which tables in the database (under their own schema or on others to which they have been granted rights to) are availabel. Is there a property setting in the pallate or something in forms runtime which would recognize varoius users and then let them do DML on various tables under their or others's schema.

Create PDF from Infopath 2003 form?

Hello all:
New to this forum, and not experienced in Adobe at all. I have used "CutePDF" to generate PDF versions of Microsoft Infopath 2003 forms. However, I have a colleague who needs to do this, but IT won't permit installation of "CutePDF". She *does* have the full professional version of Adobe Acrobat on her computer. Can Adobe Acrobat convert an Infopath 2003 form into a pdf?

I had a chance to work on this. The full Adobe program has a "print to PDF" option. This worked fine to create a PDF from my Infopath form.

Also, subscription policy is only for online services. You dont pay every month for keeping a software.
Anyways, could you provide with a little more details about what versions of OS and Acrobat are you using.
Also, are you able to open Acrobat successfully or is there some error? Does that also happens with Reader?

Hi all,
I know my way around a Mac, but I would like to help a PC buddy of mine out, too to achieve the same thing—that is, changing the code in the Illustrator preferences file so that every time you save you don't automatically save a PDF compatible file.
Can anyone help me find my way through the directories for the Preferences file on a PC?

Sorry, I was thinking of the New Document Profiles. Try Users>(yourname)>Library>Preferences>Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings.

FreeHand: building reqired fields in forms for a website

Hi I was woundering if anyone has a little experiance in making a form's fields required?
Such as one of my forms like this one http://www.jobsandcareers.org/advertising_executive_jobs_id353.html which is tripod based and hosted.
I'm a bit of a novice, and creating reqired fields in my forms has me a bit stumped, althoungh I can handle some basic coding, like my free hand international job search engine :: http://www.jobsmanager.org/ which I'm alway's interested in hearing feedback about, or link partners.

If you have one of the chars Territory or Sales officer in your datasource you could create the relationship by adding the other as nav attr to it. If you have sales officer coming from your DS, add Territory IO as nav attr on Sales officer IO. I assume there would be only one Sales officer per Territory. Otherwise this would not work.
Now you would have 2 hier, one on Territory and the other on Sales officer maintained. Add Sales officer IO in the query and enable hier on it. Add SalesOfficer_Territory nav attr and enable hier on it. The relationship now is taken care by the master data maintained for Sales officer (nav attr Territory on it). In the query data at the territory level would automatically be aggregated to the Area and other levels above based on the hierarchy.
You really need both the hier? I think you can enable hier on Sales officer (if this is what comes from the DS) in the query. Add Territory nav attr (no hier on it).

Plugin or API from Adobe (for Adobe Reader) for Business Website?

I am looking for a plugin or API from Adobe (Adobe Reader or whatever will accomplish this) that can be added to our business website to make it easier for users to search through our manuals when they have questions about using the software. Does it exist? I want users to be able to type in a string and have the Adobe product search through all our PDF files for the file/page with that information.

* A search engine on the web server. There may well be one there already, needing to be set up to search a particular folder. Or you may be able to configure a search page without any need for setup. Refer to your web server admin.
* An intranet search engine. There may be one already on your intranet, just needing to be set up. Or you may be able to configure a search page without any need for setup. Refer to your intranet admin.
* A variation on the intranet search engine is the search box, such as the google appliance, a separate box on the internal network which becomes your private Google. Pricy, but readily understood by senior management.

Problems with creating a 3D picture logo/tile for a website

Hi all
About 6 years ago, I found a great free website where you could create fast and easy 3D picture logos/tiles, with any image or photograph. Stupidly I did not note down their web address, and now I cannot find it by typing everything above, into good old Google. Luckily I subscribed to Adobes Photoshop CC 14.2 version, and was wondering if you guys would know of any tutorials, I could follow to create 3D logos/tiles for a website. Or your own little tutorials please? As it would be very much appreciated.
The only way I can describe my 6 year old created logo/tile, is that it is 149 pixels wide x 217 pixels long, and looks like a bathroom tile. As it seems to have an invisible, internal frame which makes you think that the image, is jumping out at you. Depending on whether Adobe allows you to add images, onto their threads with an external picture host, I will try to add it to this thread.

Many thanks for replying to my thread, very much appreciated. I am just so embarassed, that putting a tile frame effect around an image was so easy! By simply just going to Layer-> Layer Style-> Bevel & Emboss, on Photoshop CC. Ow well, you cannot win them all haha!;-)

I created the form (see attached)...but I can't figure out what these characters are for and how can I delete them. Look into the boxes and it shows t and e. I am so frustrated with this. Don't know what I did to create them, but all I need is the blank field and/or box for text. Help please. Thanks.

You didn't delete the text field labels. Move the yellow bars on you text fields to the right and you will see the labels. You can delete the label or use the area for your labels instead of additional text boxes. Using the fields will give better alignment for you text

I'm trying to set this up on my checkout page (order_registration-us.html), but it seems BC does not let me do this. Upon submit, i am not sent to the step 2 form, but rather, i am given a receipt for the order. How do i setup the multi part form? Your help is greatly appreciated!

You can not do that on that form as that form is looking to process eCommerce sales.
Better question is why?
In modern UI and UX design and methadology multi step forms are to be avoided, why do you need so many fields? IS your form one field at a time going down the website?
If that is the case then you should look to design your forms to have multiple coloulmns and be smarter. Combining first and last name fields into the FullName field for example.
Hiding the shipping fields and have a tick box and javascript to say "shipping same as billing" and so on.

Create a custom dock/application icon for .jar files built in eclipse

I've spent the better part of the afternoon trying to figure out how to apply a custom icon to jar file that I created in eclipse. I am presently using eclipse v3.5 on Mac OS X 10.6.2 and have yet to find a way to change the java coffee cup logo in the document icon for my jar files created in eclipse. Is there some way I can call a specific Apple class in Eclipse to change the dock/application icon of my .jar file?
I found this link that uses a class that seems to be specific to XCode to change the icon of the .jar file.
What I mean by change the icon of the jar file, I mean change the icon used in the dock, and also the icon used when the "command+tab" switcher pops up. Presently, I have the black console icon with the text "exec" in the upperleft.
If anyone has any good links on this topic or even better knows the code I need insert into my program I would be highly greatful.

How create a fillable web based form from MS Word document

I have imported my MS Word document into Acrobat 9 Designer. Now what? I am totally lost, is there a guide out there some where that could be of some benefit. Has anyone done this before? Can not get it to preview or test so how do I know what I am needing to do next.
Any help or advice is helpful.

You have to manually add fields or use "automatic form field recognition".
If you use Open Office Org Writer, you can create the form in Wirter and add various fields, and then "Export as PDF" and the form fields and optional values will be present in a PDF form.
