Create pdf of my website

I would like my clients to be able to download my website as a pdf file so they have all the info they need.
I tried creating a pdf page directly from iWeb and from the web browser (Print - Create pdf) but the results are not convincing.
Any other way?
Thx

After using Paparazzi to take shots of your web pages, open them in Preview and start to zoom in until you can read them. Take several screenshots of the appropriate size as you scroll down - I use EasyCrop for this.
http://www.yellowmug.com/easycrop/
Now you can crop these images to turn the long web page shot into several good quality pages for your PDF.
If this is not clear email me at [email protected] and I will send you some examples.

  • Create PDF, Host on Website and Capture data

    I have been looking for a way to do the following:
    1. Create a new pdf (or form if a pdf isn't possible)
    2. Host/upload the pdf to our website (or html embed)
    3. Once the pdf or form is filled out on our website, I would like to receive the data the user filled out to me in a pdf form.
    I currently am operating from Mac version Acrobat XI 11.0.07
    From what I've see, this can be done, but the users data is emailed to me in just plain text format. Is there a way for me to receive for captured data in a pdf?
    Thank you!

    What happens when you navigate to the web page, then use File>Print and select the Adobe PDF printer?
    If that does not clear up the formatting issue then try printing to a normal printer. If the formatting is still of then, there's nothing you can do with Acrobat. It would be soething with your site (probably in the CSS).

  • Acrobat 8 Pro and Create PDF from a Website

    Hi,
    I'm out of sorts. I can't seem to be able to turn a website thread into PDF file using my Acrobat 8 Pro (Mac user)....
    The thread I'm trying to save has multiple pages and all Acrobat 8 does is save only the first page and not any of the subsequent pages.... unless I manually go page by page but then I end up with multiple PDF files that I would have to combine and that is just too time consuming --and would have to learn to do that as well.
    Here's the link to the website thread I'm trying to convert into PDF:http://tinyurl.com/6guqpf
    Could someone please advice what I may be doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    R

    Thanks Paul, I've tried to Save as PDF in the OSX print dialogue box- but it only saves the first page of the thread I'm trying to save (when most threads have more than 1 page, sometimes up to 30 pages each)
    This is what my friend wrote and how she found a way to solve her problem.... however I don't have Adobe 5 as she does and I would like to not have to get Adobe 5 but use only Adobe 8....
    <<I start Adobe 8.
    Select Create PDF from Web Page and paste in:
    http://learningcenter.atkins.com/sessions/discussions/index.jsp?courseSessionId=7233&webPa geId=1000007&courseId=3856
    When it's made the first page (see attached) [<<=== can't attach here since you need a password to view it.]
    I save it and exit.
    Then I open Adobe 5 and then I can click on each topic to start capturing the information (meaning all pages to each thread without a problem).
    If I click on a topic in Adobe 8 ... it makes a page in a new browser window ... and I'm lost.>>
    Do you or anyone else know why this is so? Why Adobe 8 would open a page in a new browser window and Adobe 5 doesn't?
    Thanks again,

  • Problem in creating PDF of Website using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.

      I am trying to create PDF file of full website using "Create PDF from Web Page..." option, in Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.
    It is creating PDF but the page alignments/text/images alignments are lost and doesn't look good.
    Can any one help to create the PDF same as webpage look and feel.
    Thanks.

    Acrobat 8's HTML->PDF engine is quite old and doesn't work well with modern web pages. I'd recommend trying the same page using Acrobat X (trial available) where the engine has been replaced and modernized.

  • How do I create a PDF from a website with a paywall?

    I'm trying to use the "Create a PDF from the web" function in Adobe Acrobat Pro to create PDFs from a news website that I subscribe to, but whenever I use the tool, it gives me a version that truncates the articles I need — or how the version looks to non-subscribers. Can anyone help me with this? I desperately need a workaround.

    In the past, specifying the username and password in the URL in the standard format (http://username:[email protected]@www.example.com) did not work when using the Web Capture plugin in Acrobat. Maybe it changed, but I doubt it...

  • Having problems creating PDF from website with query-string URLs

    I have a website that I would like to create a PDF from. I am using the Create -> PDF from Web Page..., selecting the site's home page, and capturing 2 levels, with "stay on same path" and "stay on same server" checked in order to limit the scope of the crawl.
    Where the pages are at example.com/foo/ and example.com/foo/bar/, this works fine. However, where the pages are at example.com/foo/ and example.com/foo/?p=1, the page represented by the query string URL is not converted to the PDF.
    This is a problem, given that the site I want to archive as a PDF uses query strings for most of its pages.
    I have been able to individually convert a single query-string-based page into a PDF using this method, but doing this for every page on the site would be almost impossible given the sheer number of pages on the site.
    Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround other than separately capturing each page (which would be prohibitive effort)?
    I have tried this in both Acrobat Pro X and Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac, with the same results.

    Remember, Acrobat is a 32-bit application and as such cannot access all that 'extra' stuff.
    Be well...

  • Creating PDF with stylesheet from my website

    How do I create a PDF directly from my website using a specially-styled page?
    Joomla does it and I'm wondering how I can do the same thing. It's similar to a printer-friendly version. But when you click the "create PDF button", it asks you where to save and then creates the file.
    Any ideas?

    Here's what I did ....
    I was rather dismayed that I couldn't use the features that were with QuickTime 7.6.3 so I got brave and took it out of the utilities folder where it was placed when I installed Snow Leopard. I then went into my Time Machine Backups, went to my computers saved library in the SYSTEM FOLDER copied ALL of the components, then pasted them into my HOME library in the new version of installed Leopard Files. When I open up QuickTime 7, I now have access to the two preference areas in the finder, one that now shows my previous registration code, and the other general app preferences. I was also able to convert files from one format to another like before. I haven't used this extensively, so I can't vouch that I might fall prey to some form of future conflict. But, hey, it's worth trying! You can also just go to downloads from apple and get Quicktime 7 and put it back into your utilities folder.

  • Acrobat pro xi - bug creating pdf from website

    Hi there,
    I'tried to create a pdf from a website. Problem is, that within a paragraph the last non-breaking space is moved by Acrobat to the start of the next line. The whole paragraph - expect the first line - is intended. Any ideas? Or a bug?
    Thx for feedback!

    Could you please share the following details so that we can help solve the problem?
    1. The OS you are using and its version - Win7/Win8 or Mac OS 10.9/Mac OS 10.8?
    2. Is it 32-bit or 64-bit OS?
    3. Acrobat version you are using 11.0.7 or 11.0.8?

  • Workbook is not getting saved in PDF format on website directory

    I have an Excel workbook, which I am trying to save in Pdf file format on website directory at azure, and after creating pdf uploading it on azure blob storage. The code is working fine on local but on web server it is not uploading pdf on storage,
    Code Ex:
    //Save the document in html format
                    workbook.Save(excelFile);
                    string fileName = System.IO.Path.GetRandomFileName();
                    string realPath = Server.MapPath("~/Content/");
                    string pdfFile = realPath + fileName + ".Pdf";
                    workbook.Save(pdfFile, SaveFormat.Pdf);
    Below code I am using to upload PDf file on Storage:
    private string UploadPdfFileToStorage(string filePath, string fileName)
                //Console.WriteLine("Second:=>" + filePath);
                // Retrieve storage account from connection string.
                var storageAccount = CloudStorageAccount.Parse(CloudConfigurationManager.GetSetting("StorageConnectionString"));
                // Create the blob client.
                CloudBlobClient blobClient = storageAccount.CreateCloudBlobClient();
                // Retrieve a reference to a container.
                CloudBlobContainer container = blobClient.GetContainerReference("reporthtmlfiles");
                // Create the container if it doesn't already exist.
                container.CreateIfNotExists();
                //Permit container for public acces
                container.SetPermissions(new BlobContainerPermissions { PublicAccess = BlobContainerPublicAccessType.Container });
                fileName = fileName + ".pdf";
                CloudBlockBlob blockBlob = container.GetBlockBlobReference(fileName);
                blockBlob.Properties.ContentType = "application/pdf";
                byte[] file = System.IO.File.ReadAllBytes(filePath);
                MemoryStream objMemoryStream = new MemoryStream(file);
                objMemoryStream.Seek(0, SeekOrigin.Begin);
                blockBlob.UploadFromStream(objMemoryStream);
                objMemoryStream.Close();
                return blockBlob.Uri.AbsoluteUri;
    Please help, thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Based on your description, your pdf file is saved to server side, so if you try above code on your local, you could read the file, but, if host your application to azure, you need to get the file stream first, then upload from the stream. Please set
    the breakpoint at: "byte[] file = System.IO.File.ReadAllBytes(filePath);" check this file variable.

  • Create PDF crashes webapplication

    Hi,
    We have a website that creates PDF-reports using SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework 4 (64-bit) SP1. The site runs on Windows 2003 R2 x64.
    The site (w3wp.exe) crashes every now and then when a report is generated in PDF. We cannot trace it back to specific reports, users or actions. It seems to be random. We don't have this issue on x86-webservers with the same application and CR-version.
    We got a memory dump from one of the crashes. The dump can be found [here|http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZFVJ7FEZ] (zipped, about 330MB). Microsoft already analyzed this dump and this is the conclusion :
    Here is my analysis: as you already noted, the stack goes from the SAP component to msvcr80, based on the method name (without the private symbols we cannot see the arguments passed etcu2026) it looks like they are initializing something which requires memory to be moved around, hence the call to memmove_s

    First, itu2019s interesting to note that the destination pointer does not look to be valid; the call to msvcr80!memmove_s comes directly from crxf_pdf!UXFInitializeW (there are no u201Chiddenu201D calls in the middle):
    0:076> ln 00000000`41d69db4

    The exception (an Access Violation) is actually thrown in msvcr80 while it is trying to copy the memory as a result of the move call:
    0:076> .exr -1
    ExceptionAddress: 000000007814e38c (msvcr80!memcpy+0x00000000000001ec)

    Unfortunately without the private symbols we cannot see what that memory belongs to.
    Anyway since I have access to all Microsoft private symbols, the fact that I cannot find this specific one I think means this is part of the SAP components. I think we can conclude the problem originates from the crxf_pdf.dll and manifests itself in msvcr80.dll because of some wrong parameter passed into that call.
    All help would be very much appreciated.
    Many Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
    Since you have RAS available use this code and test again:
    private void ExportToPDFRAS_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
        //CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument rpt = new CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument();
        ISCDReportClientDocument rcd;
        //rpt.Load("c:
    Reports
    Group.rpt");
        rcd = rptClientDoc;
        // Declare a PrintOutputController to allow documents to be exported to PDF
        PrintOutputController rasPrintOutputController;
        CrReportExportFormatEnum rasReportExportFormat;
        CrystalDecisions.Shared.DiskFileDestinationOptions diskOpts = CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportOptions.CreateDiskFileDestinationOptions();
        diskOpts.DiskFileName = "c:
    reports
    reports1.pdf";
        // Set the CrReportExportFormatEnum to export the report as a PDF file.
        rasReportExportFormat = CrReportExportFormatEnum.crReportExportFormatPDF;
        rasPrintOutputController = rcd.PrintOutputController;
        // Use the Export() method of the PrintOutputController to export the report to a ByteArray.
        ByteArray tempByteArray = rasPrintOutputController.Export(rasReportExportFormat, 0);
        Byte[] byteStreamOutput = tempByteArray.ByteArray;
        System.IO.Stream oStream;
        byte[] byteArray = null;
        oStream = rpt.ExportToStream(CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat);
        byteArray = new byte[oStream.Length];
        oStream.Read(byteArray, 0, Convert.ToInt32(oStream.Length - 1));
        // this is used to verify the file so I saved it to disk
        System.IO.File.Create(diskOpts.DiskFileName, Convert.ToInt32(oStream.Length - 1)).Close();
        System.IO.File.OpenWrite(diskOpts.DiskFileName).Write(byteArray, 0, Convert.ToInt32(oStream.Length - 1));
        System.IO.File.SetAttributes(diskOpts.DiskFileName, System.IO.FileAttributes.Directory);
        oStream.Close();
    CR requires contiguous memory space so for large reports IIS may not be able to handle cleaning up it's memory fragmentation when objects are freed up. It's a common problem with Java app's also, Java doesn't have a good memory manager either.
    Because of the lack of ability to pass files through Forums I suggest you purchase a support case if you don't have a Support Contract and work with a Support engineer here to debug the problem. We can get the PDB's for those files to you if that helps MS determine what their issue is...
    Thanks

  • What do I need to create PDF files on my iPad?

    So, in trying to resolve the frustration I am having in using Adobe Reader for iOS to create PDFs (without having to pay Adobe another 25% of my current Creative Cloud subscription....) I logged a sales eqnuiry via Adobe website.
    I get a call back withint a couple of hours. Not bad.
    He immediately asks how many computers I have enabled for my Creative Cloud account. Only one, I say.
    Well, he says, then you can install Creative Cloud on your iPad.
    No I can't, I said - Creative Cloud for iPad is a very skinny client, only handles Photoshop, and view some file formats. Not a full Acrobat function.
    Oh, he says, let em check. Eventually comes back. Yes, you are right he says. You have to pay us another $15 per month on top of the $50 per month Creative Crowd (even though CC already includes Acrobat Pro) you already pay, just so you can create PDFs on your iPad.
    That's ridiculous, I say - Adobe does not know how customers want to use your products. More people are going to use a desktop plus tablet - or laptop only. But if I have a desktop and a laptop I can have Creative Cloud on both. I accept that they are different OS, but don't make excuses like "Acrobat.com is a different product to Acrobat Pro" - I already pay for the latter in my CC subscription, so why should I be price gouged another 25%? Makes Adobe look plain greedy - and still they don't want to pay tax in Australia....
    If it was no more than $5 per month on top of the CC subscription, maybe I would go for it - but anything more is DAYLIGHT ROBBERY in my opinion.

    Hi GrattanGuru,
    You have creative cloud subscription as you have mentioned. Under Adobe Reader to convert PDF to other formats Adobe offers online service called Acrobat.com services: https://www.acrobat.com/en_us.html
    That would be the reason support person might have told you on call, that you have to pay for that service.
    Under creative cloud you are getting Adobe applications. However under Acrobat.com you are getting online services which are providing Acrobat functions online.

    Ajlan Huda.

  • How to create PDF file from MX7600 scanner in Windows 8.1

    I just changed to a new desktop PC that is running Windows 8.1. I downloaded the drivers from the Canon website for Windows 8.1, and I can not find the function to create a PDF file of the scanned document, like I could in Windows 7. How can I created a PDF file in the new driver software?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi alove5230,
    Ini addition to the drivers, you will need to download the MP Navigator software for the printer to create PDF files.  Please click here to go to the Drivers and Software page for the PIXMA MX7600.  Once on the initial download page for your printer, please do the following:
    1. Verify that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop-down menu is correct, and if it is not, please click the drop-down menu to select your operating system.
    2. Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "SOFTWARE" section and click on the MP NAVIGATOR file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click on the checkbox below the DOWNLOAD button, then click the red DOWNLOAD button to begin the download. The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
    Once the file is downloaded, please double-click on it to install the program on your computer.
    Hope this helps!

  • Create PDF with printing restrictions

    I am looking for a product that can create PDFs on a server from a VB.NET website application. It must be able to build some logic into the PDF to restrict
    the printing capabillity to only allow a certain number of copies to be printed. Subsequent copies may be printed but must show different text and be watermaked as "copies". Is this possible with any of the Adobe products or any 3rd party products? We currently use abcPDF for .NET which allows us to create the PDFs from the application but it won't allow the restrictive printing as far as I can see.

    You could certainly use Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management Server to secure the PDFs that you produce with restrictions on printing, viewing, etc.

  • Getting general error when saving site using "create PDF from"

    I'm using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.0.0 for Mac, trying to save websites. This started working fine, but I had to shut down in the middle of a site being saved. Now when I try to save a site  using Web Capture/create PDF from I get a "general error, nothing was saved". What do I need to do, remove, replace, reinstall or whatever to get this feature working again?
    Also can anyone tell me how to set the feature that saves web pages with the headers and footers showing date, time, URL, page title, etc. I often use the print feature (save to PDF) and up until a day or so ago it always saved with those headers and footers. Now they're missing, which is what prompted me to try saving entire sites, above. I remember setting these a long time ago and being able to choose what went on the left, right,header and footer, but I cannot find those settings now.
    Thanks,
    Michele

    Well, after downloading Applejack, I am completely confused. I'm not sure I understand what will happen if I do any of these steps: see 3a.. "clean out all cache files including the Launch Services database and any cached User Pictures". What kinds of things will I lose? Can I choose only the Acrobat cache files?  I don't want to have to spend hours or days resetting things as I'm in the middle of a project with a close deadline. I also don't really understand fully what will happen with all the other things they discuss.  The instructions say (I just copied and pasted these):
    3.  Auto mode: You can let the script run through its tasks automatically by typing 'applejack auto'. If you want the machine to automatically restart at the end of its tasks, use 'applejack auto restart'. You can also tell the computer to shut down automatically at the end by using the command line 'applejack auto shutdown'.
    3a. Deep Auto mode: If you want to let AppleJack clean out all cache files, including the Launch Services database and any cached User Pictures, use 'applejack AUTO' instead. Use this if you still have problems booting after running AppleJack already.
    4.  Interactive mode: To run through just one task, or to run the script manually, type 'applejack' and then choose tasks from the menu. Running the script in interactive mode has the benefit of giving you options for working with user level cache and preference files, not just the default system level caches and preferences. To select an option, type the highlighted number or letter associated with the action, and then hit return. Whenever you enter a choice in AppleJack, you will need to hit return for that choice to take effect.
    4.  Corrupted preference files are moved into a directory that will mirror the original preference directory, with (Corrupt) added to the directory name. For example, corrupt preferences files found in ~/Library/Preferences will be moved to ~/Library/Preferences (Corrupt). After running AppleJack, you'll probably want to take a look at them (and most likely throw out those folders). As of version 1.4.2, AppleJack now creates a copy of the directory tree inside the (Corrupt) folder so that if any files were deeply nested inside the original preference folder, they will be placed in an identical directory hierarchy in the new (Corrupt) folder. This way, if for any reason you would want to move a preference file back, you know where it should go.
    6.  AppleJack has a primitive logging mechanism. It writes a journal of most of its activity to /var/log/AppleJack.log. AppleJack will automatically reset the log the next time you run it, if the file should ever reach a size somewhat over 500k.
