I'm now wanna create a new portal-action use UME API, or get all the defined actions in the portal, how can i do that?

And also you can get the groups assigned to user by using the below code

Creating a mapping using the API

Hi Brian, I am curious about this use case - what's the reason you are looking to do it using the API? You can create several objects using the API and the most typical use case we have observed is where mapping developers create a pattern or what we call as a "template" - which is a mapping with various properties parameterized. For example you can create a mapping with the filter parameterized, or define a very generic mapping with source, target and the field map between those all parameterized. Once you do that, you can create a "task" for this mapping (known as Mapping Configuration Task) - that can be done using our UI or using our REST API. If you choose the latter, you can pass on parameter values as part of the API request. I was wondering about creating a mapping using the API. It clearly states in the Dev guide that this is possible, but when I perform a get mapping request, I don't see all the information given for a certain object. For example, I don't see an expression in the mapping object (although one exists when I view the object in Cloud). Has anyone else done this? Is it easy to create objects via the API? Thanks!

I would like to know is it possible to create portal user-id through web dynpro abap application.
My requirement is
> I have to create a web dynpro abap application. In the web dynpro abap application I have name email-id and phone number as entry fields.
> I will click on submit, one unique id will get created. This unique id will be the login id for portal.
I found how to create portal user using web dynpro java, but i could not find regarding web dynpro abap.
If it is possible to create the portal users using web dynpro abap pls share the code as well.

How to create RMA lines using OE_ORDER_PUB API

Hi All,
We are trying to create RMA lines using OE_ORDER_PUB API but every time API creating Standard Order Line line type in application.
My program is creating order header as a Return Order, i am passing corrent line type ids (1028 - RMA Shipment, 1027 - RMA Receipt) but oracle API is creating Standard Order Lines (ID 1001).
Can any one tell me about that?

Check the defaulting rules setup. Defaulting rule will derive the line type based on the order type and shippable flag etc.
Also check the line flows assigned to the order type in transaction types window.

EMail Notification for the Newly Created users using UME API

Hi ,
In my application ,the user creation is handled by custom Admin module which uses the UME APIs. Upon creating the user, we need to send a notification mail to the user's email id which he provided in the Add new user form.
Is there any direct APIs available to notify the user via email. I hope the Standard user creatin module in User Administration also uses the same UME APIs.
Please let me know the possibilities.

Sure Sun provides the tools: it is called the compiler. Now all you need to do is write the code for a portal. But since there are vendor specific solutions available that could make your life a lot easier, writing one yourself is like reinventing the wheel.
Pardon my mild sarcasm, but avoiding API's not developed by Sun is not the general idea behind the Java platform. You are encouraged to use those API's.

Set Security Question & Answer using UME API in Web dynpro Java

Hi Experts,
I;ve developed a Web Dynpro java application to create a user in UME.
I am able to set all the user account related attributes but I am not able to set the security question and answer as I do not see any attribute for the same.
Can anyone please suggest how to set the Security question and answer in UME?
This is required so that if the user wishes to reset his password / forgets password, we can ask him the security question which he selected at the time of registration.
Please let me know if it can be achieved at the code level and whether UME API supports security question and answer or any such attribute.
Also, if no such attribute is present by default in UME at the moment; can we create/configure some custom attributes in UME and store the security question and answer into those attributes. This would serve our purpose.

Please suggest, how can we achieve this and where and how to set the custom attributes for the same?
Do we have to set the Publicly Viewable Custom Attributes present at location you mentioned in your reply?
Also, if yes; please let me know how to set the custom attributes?

Take the entered component part number and search in the WIP job material requirements. This should use a WIP API. If the material is found, increment the quantity. If material is not found, create the job material using public API. (Provide WIP API details)
The java object, oracle.apps.csd.schema.server .CsdHvWipJobPvtEO is a wrapper to call WIP API. This should be used to create material requirements is this the procedure to create job material Req.

What is your SBO version? I've seen several cases in which the login/connection procedure (both in the client and via DI API) has become much slower after upgrading to SBO 2005.
Do you experience the same slowness when connecting via DI API in a non-WebService setting?
I would not recommend using DI API in a web service context in the first place. DI Server would give you a much more robust, stable and scalable infrastructure to build upon.

When I pass the inputs and test the service,I get output with return_status='S'. But no record falls at the OE_ORDER_HEADER_ALL table.
I cant identify where the problem is.Pls suggest me with the things to resolve this issue.

Yes, it is possible. Look for the FormattedSearches object in SDK.

Problem in Creating Delivery Note using DI API

i am using DI Api with Delphi Language to Create a Sales Delivery Note based on the sales Order.
But Each time when i add, a new Record gets Created rather than the new Line.

      Document.CardCode         := 'A001'
      Document.Lines.BaseType   := 17;
      Document.Lines.BaseEntry := 84;
      Document.Lines.BaseLine   := 4;
      Document.Lines.ItemCode := '001A';
      Document.Lines.Quantity := 10;
      Result := FODLN.Add;
In this case,new rows are added each time in the tables ODLN and RDR1.
How to avoid this.As this creates a individual Delivery Note for each time i add than to the Order Number.

if you have more than one rows, use the

Created Role responsibility using TCA API but couldn't view it from Forms

Created Role responsibilities using HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_ROLE_V2PUB.create_role_responsibility. API returned responsibility_id and I could check record in HZ_ROLE_RESPONSIBULITY table. But when I view it from Contact Roles screen, No value but If I click on the field then value appears on screen.
I am setting below values. Can you please share your thoughts on it.
