Create/Refresh Planning to Essbase

Hello,
When I make metadata changes in planning and then create/refresh in Essbase (Open Application/Manage Application/Manage Databases) those changes seems like unreadable symbols ('?') in administration services outline view/edit. When making those changes directly in outline through administration services it looks fine.
The hole hyperion instance and oracle database are installed on Windows 2003 with locale set to Russian, ESSLANG point to Russian_Russia.MS1251@Default,
orace database charset is UTF8, NLS_LANG is UTF8 also.
What is wrong in configuration? Can anybody help?

Planning to Essbase Refresh using Appscheduler.exe

Hi,
I am having trouble when i run a planning to essbase refresh manually.
The error I get is: "Error 16; <windows_id> 04/27/09 16:35:09; AppScheduler; ScheduleApplication; 46: Unable to get Server Name - <Servername>Permission denied Application Name - <AppName>".
The refresh is part of an automated process where the script is running on <Server1> (not a planning server) and calling the appscheduler.exe on <Server2> (Planning Server)
I am able to run this using the command script when running from <Server2> (Planning Server). Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
The id i am using to run this script is an admin id and the id is an admin on both servers. I am also using 'admin' as the username to refresh.

How are you actually executing the script from the other server, it may because it needs to be executed on the physical server as it uses the servername where it is being executed, so will only work if the localhost executes it.

Difficulty in refreshing Planning security

Hi All,
I'm having an issue with security filters in Planning 11.1.2.1. I have a user1 that belongs to group1. This group1 has Write access to an account members and it's descendants. However once I create / refresh security filters, I can see fuser1 filter in EAS with NONE access to all the dimensions, ie
None @IDES("Account"),@IDES("Scenario"),@IDES("Version"),@IDES("Property")
I've tried both create and refresh outline and security filters but nothing seemed to work. Any ideas?

i know this is not the solution, but i read in a post that this happens, when Planning & Essbase security are not in sync. Eventhough, they should get sync when we do "Refresh Security"... but they asked to try the below options,
1) Manually delete all the Essbase filters and perform the Planning Refresh again... this should create new filters with the same access as in planning...
2) If the above step did not help then try restarting Essbase servcies once as this will update the .sec file in essbase...
You can try these and let us know if it works....

Error Trying to create a planning application 9.3.1.2

Hi,
I have a problem when I try to create a new application in Planning.
I re installed a new server from scratch with the lastest version in Oracle eDelivery (9.3.1.2), using DB2 as database.
All is working fine (shared service, essbase, eas ...) never got an error, but i'm not able to create a planning application, I have an error at the end of the process using: http://server:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp.
For information, I have 4 different databases in DB2 (Shared Services, Essbase, Planning and the Planning Instance).

I think it is something related to DB2 (on a different server), but i don't know what...

It looks like it is around the DB2 set up.
In the errors you posted :-
No default primary tablespace exists for the new table
Unable to create Scehma for application
So maybe it is down to tablespace or permissions
Be sure to see the sections in the installation guide regarding DB2, also any information in the 9.3.1 readme

Unable to create a Planning Application

Dear All,
I am not able to create a Planning application. I logged in into the planning using 'admin' user , at the final step I get the error . I checked in the Essbase log file it gives the error as User/group admin already exists.
I tried with other user also , i get the same error . Please suggest me the remedy . Thank You so much

When i started the planning service in command propmpt i get the error saying HSP_Action object not found. I checked in the Database and found that this table doesnt exists in the database. Then i reconfigured the database only, from Configuration utility and after that this table appears in the database. I again started the service in commnad it runs fine now. But when I try to login in to the planning , it gives the following error in command propmt.

Creating new planning application

i am try to create new planning apllication where i could'nt understand the significance of plan types. can anyone guide to get to know.

A plan type is basically an essbase database, you create them based on the model you are building, if the design cannot accommodate one database then you have the option to use additional databases (plan types)
You cannot add/delete plan types once the application is created though.

Error while creating a Planned Order

Hi SAP Experts,
I have an error encountered while creating a Planned Order which is "Mode linkage problem with mode number".
Diagnosis:
An application program called an LCA routine and the following error occurred:
An order has at least one condition with mode linkage with the same mode number. The activities of this condition must have compatible modes. The modes are compatible when each mode of one activity has a mode for the other activity with the same mode number. The first activity that violates the condition is given in the return code table in ABAP.
Please enlighthen me what is this error and what should be done to this error.

Check the PPM or PDS being used in the Planned Order.
Most likely you have a Setup Activity followed by Produce Activity. However the Mode (i.e. Resource) used in the two activities are different. The same Mode needs to be used both in Setup and corresponding Produce activity.

This is due to the configuration error,
Just use T.Code OP50
Create an entry for task list type "Q" with material type "ZROH" and save,
Then try creating a Quality Inspection Plan, it will work

While I am creating manual planned order i am getting error as message /sapapo/rrp251
Every thing is correct BOM and PV's no error after consistency check and it getting succesfully transffered to APO and it is also visible in APO
But while creating manual planned orders planned order are not getting generated I am using BLock planning with PPDS
Please help How to resolve it

The error message /SAPAPO/RRP251 - Error occurred while creating order means While creating an order, the system encountered problems, such as, for example, no available components or components that are available late, orders that could not be scheduled, and so on.
I think system attempted to solve the availability problems by using alternative procurement options. This was not successful. The order could not be created. Check the exceptional situations in the planning protocol, under Goto -> Planning log, and deal with the causes of the exceptional situations if this is possible or necessary.

Please suggest me the way by which i can make the field "Sort field" mandatory while creating maintenance plan (IP42).

There is no std config to acheive this. Please use IPRM0004 Maintenance plan/item: Customer check for "Save" to accomplish the same.

while Creating Maintenance Plan IP41- Sales Document is deactive.
Unable to fill the Sales Number.
