Hi everybody,
Can i create subnumber for asset which has been depreciated until RM1 book value ? This asset has a few quantity and need to be breakdown to different cost center ? If yes, how ? AS11 or AS94 ?

Thanks Andreas. However, the asset is an old asset (already reached RM1 book value). I have tried to use AS94, but hits an error " Legacy data transfer year is not last closed fiscal year 2007". FYI the take over date in the system is 31/3/1998 while closed fiscal year is 2006. Now we are in fiscal year 2007 (Apr to Mac). If i were to change the take over date to become 31/3/2007, is there any impact to the depreciation run for other assets in the system. I'm worried if i change the take over date, the depreciation will get haywired.

The system cannot find the ANLH record for this main number.
ANLH - Main asset number is a table in SAP which contains main numbers of assets per company code.
Since the creation and assigning of assets in SAP system is done by FI part, I suggest to contact FI consultant in your business to define / create / update the ANLH table.

I am getting error when I try to create PO for Asset which is investment measure.
Error is as below:-
Asset is investment measure, transaction type not allowed
Message no. AK005
Diagnosis
Asset 305000003 0 that is to be posted is an investment measure. You are not allowed to post transactions that affect acquisition value using the current transaction.
Procedure
Check the asset and transaction type 120.
I am using account assigment catergory 'A' in PO. I have checked Allowed transaction type for Acquisition and 120 is already allowed.
Please guide.

Try to create PO with account assignment category as P/N for project related ones.
If the related asset is related to Investment Measure we need to settle transactions to WBS element and from WBS element to AUC. We cannot directly post to AUC.

How can I create a new database on machine which already has one database running on Windows platform?
I am totally new to DB and this is the first time I am creating a database.
When I installed Oracle on windows platform database MYDB got created.
Now I want to create another database with the following command on the same machine.
CREATE DATABASE TESTDB
     DATAFILE 'F:\oracle\oradata\testdb\system01.dbf' SIZE 250M REUSE
     CHARACTER SET US7ASCII
LOGFILE
     GROUP 1 ('F:\oracle\oradata\testdb\redo01.log') SIZE 10M,
     GROUP 2 ('F:\oracle\oradata\testdb\redo02.log') SIZE 10M;
But it doesn't work. I unmounted the DB MYDB and then again tried above command. But still didnt work.

Yes, but all the data from your sisters PC will be erased and replaced with yours, which is probably what you want anyhow.

I created a website on my laptop using iweb, and would like to export the project so I can import it into the iWeb on my iMac, which already has four other sites that I created in it. I can't seem to find any info or threads on being able to import just one project INTO my iWeb folder when there are already other sites I do not want to lose...anyone know how I can do this? I can only find info on exporting and importing the entire DOMAIN file...

To try to fix this, I signed out of the primary machine and so i was only in the second computer. This didnt work and when i tried to log back into Match on the primary machine it has the same problem now, asking me to buy iTunes Match when I already have it!
Now I've got it on neither machine- can someone please help!!

You often get this message when match thinks that you already have a match in progess on another computer.
If you are happy that all your music is on your new hard drive (or if it is only in the cloud), you should select "this computer".

i use powershell 4.0. is it possible to create Alias for cmdlet which is piped to another cmdlet?
i need to use this command frequently:
Get-windowsFeature | select-object name ( to see only "name" column)
i checked & non of the following commands works:
new-alias myalias Get-windowsFeature | select-object name
or
new-alias myalias "Get-windowsFeature | select-object name"
any solution please?

You can't do that with an alias, it only works to substitute the name of a cmdlet or function, and takes a string value as it's argument. You can accomplish the same effect with a function, which takes a script block argument:
function myalias {Get-windowsFeature | select-object name}

We bought a new PC (Windows 8) and it already has my husband;s iTunes.
How can I move my iTunes to the new PC without crushing my husband's iTunes? I can connect HDD from the old PC to our new PC using a hard drive station. I'm concerned that my iTunes and his iTunes crushe and one of us might lose all the songs.
We do not use separate password for PC. Would it be better to set up separate password to use separate account?

You need to set up seperate user accounts on the computer.

Creating Thumbnail for asset FAIL

We recently installed FCS and have begun to do some testing. We have "Edit Proxies" enabled. When we upload small FCP projects everything works fine and edit proxies are created. If we upload a FCP project with large media files, Final Cut server seems to be trying to create the Thumbnail for the large media file before it has uploaded to the server. This creates an error (FAIL) in the Search all jobs window. After that, FCS doesn't attempt to create either Edit proxy or Clip proxy for that file. It moves on to the next media file in the FCP project. If this is a small file, FCS successfully creates proxies for that file. Anybody that can give us some help with this?

Verify that you can actually open the files in Quicktime on the Mac running the Final Cut Server (Server Software). Do this by logging on via Apple Remote Desktop, Screen Sharing, or via the KVM switch if your system is in a server room.
If you can successfully open/read/playback the Decklink codecs directly off the server then you can eliminate that. I would then try to transcode the file using the copy of Compressor that's on the FCSvr, this will simulate a proxy encode.

Creating video for YouTube - which user settings?

I've seen a lot of posts about converting video for posting on YouTube but I can't find any information on the best sequence setting to CREATE video for posting on YouTube. I'm making a 30-45 second promotional video that will be entirely made up of stills/text and music, so I'm just going to be doing moves on jpegs. YouTube videos are now displayed 640.360, but I can't find a FCP sequence preset that will allow me to create a video at that size. Am I missing something? Should I just create it at some other widescreen setting then convert it down? Trying to keep this is simple as possible -- do not want to have to render every clip in the timeline.

Make your original video in one of the codecs supported by Final Cut Pro. You will find a list of possible codecs in the Easy Setup menu.

Your source material is JPEG images. While they can be imported, they don't use a codec of their own. They will have to be rendered.
