Create templates for LSO

Dear gurus,
I need to create templates for the LSO. Templates which we can capture data on for the personal development plans. I need these templates to have a drop down not to allow free text. For instance, when an employee's going for a course, the information must come from the templates regarding courses he needs to attend in that prticular financial year as per his PDP. I appreciate your input in advance

Problem in creating template for the accounting transactions

Hi,
suppose for making an entry through fb50 we have to enter g/l a/c no. in that particular field but if some one does not want his end user to make an entry to this field other than putting an entry through his end user he wants system to take the required g/l a/c by default is it possible by creating template for that particular postings? if yes how to generate the template? i have tried to make a template through the recurring entries but not succeeded in that , so please help me.

You can create a template with a particular account code string from within FB50.
Make sure you have the tree turned on (Tree On/ Tree Off button toggles display).
Once you have entered the standard coding, right click on the Account Assignment Template folder to get a popup menu. Select "Save Account Assignment Template". A dialog box will ask you to name the template.
You can then instruct users to use this template to record this type of transaction.
However, this does not prevent the user from doing direct entry or changing account code strings. If you have a situation where for a particular combination of accounting elements, whether header or detail, for which the GL should always be a particular value, you can create a substitution rule in IMG which will automatically populate the GL field with the specific GL account value. The IMG transaction is OBBH.

Create Template for Photo Album Pages

I'm starting a project that involves creating a Web photo
album. However, there are special formatting rules I need to
institute for the individual pages I create in the photo album. Is
it possible to create a template for these pages (the pages you go
to when you click on the thumbnail on the contact sheet) rather
than going in and applying css files and other items after they've
been created?
Any help is much appreciated.

As my understanding, your development and production environments are two (two way) trusted domains in one forest, and the SharePoint instance was built on the development domain. If this is the truth, please first verify whether your production domain account
profile has been imported into the user profile service application. If it is not, refer to the following article to check the configuration of your user profile synchronization.

If your user profile can be searched correctly, the issue might be caused by fact that the people picker search was limited to the development domain. Please use the following command to configure the people picker search domains:

Create Template for Axis P3214 Cameras with VSOM 7.5.1

Axis P3304 has gone end of life...the template I have dones not work properly with the replacement camera
P3214. How do I create a template for the P3214.

My question really is how do I get a driver for the P3214 that will work?
The AXIS Generic VAPIX 3.0 driver is what I am using for the P3304. That

Hi Mohammed,
If you are applying the service profile to a blade with the CISCO virtualization card and have specified the option of using the dervied mac or wwpn/wwnn the association will fail as the card does not have any burned-in mac or wwpn/wwnn.
using th pool (as in your case) is the solution to this issue.
for the link down, unless you have the OS installed on the blade the link will be marekd down. This is duye to the driver missing on the blade to bring up the link.

Generating style : MOBILE mobile devices
When i press Save, i get an error message,

Any idea, what kind of error is this?

How to create template for multiple users and proper variables for DesktopDNA

Here's the scenario:
25 WXPSP2 laptops with only ZENworks Desktop Management agent installed.
Laptops have at least 4 user profiles each. All laptops have same
configuration. I want to create just one image for all laptops and am
using personality migration to handle the different user profiles on each
laptop.
We are using ZENworks 7 on a NetWare server.
Using the DNA Template Editor, I create a template by selecting All local
user profiles on source machine, selecting User Accounts Settings under
System, and name the template DNAusers.dtf.
I then create an application object, CollectDNA, to collect the
personality following the instructions in guide. I associate CollectDNA
with a workstation and select Force Run and App Launcher. This is the
parameter setting: (There is no VOL1 on this server)
/D \\Server1\SYS\ddna\data\%CN%\X-REMOTE1 /T \\Server1
\SYS\ddna\templates\DNAusers.dtf /X
I go to X-REMOTE1 laptop and login as an administrator but nothing
happens. I then click on Application Explorer and double-click on
CollectDNA object and get: could not launch CollectDNA. The network
path was not found. Checking My Network Places, I see no NetWare
Services listed. And, although the ZENworks Desktop Management Agent
policy says to display the ZENworks authentication dialog, the login
screen never appears.
Any suggestions?

OK so I changed %CN% to "Admin" in the application object and restarted
laptop and logged in as Admin in the ZENworks Desktop Management
authentication screen. Nothing happened until I clicked on the
application windows and then it tried to launch CollectDNA but then I get
the Application Launcher status: the network path was not found.
I saw an earlier response you gave to someone else who had the same
message and did the same but still get this error message.
Do you see anything else that I'm doing incorrectly?

Sorry for asking, but have you ever worked with Oracle Reports before? What you are describing is exactly what Report Builders does: you create a query to retrieve data from the database, and in the layout editor you create a page layout for this data.

Invalid xml decl while creating template for a report created in BIP

I am in the process developing a report - extracting data from an xmltype column. I defined my query - as simple as (for now):
select xmlcol.getclobval() from table1
The way information is stored in each xmltype column is with the xml declaration - something like

<c>adjaghd</c>

So when I get the output, I have the declaration (...xml version...)for each row returned. I am assuming that being the reason when I try to create the template in work for this report, it given me Invalid XML Decl. How can I extract from xmltype column without getting the header information for each row?

I see there are 2 templates in the querry print layout but I do not want to use one of the existing templates.
I need to copy a query print layout I've made from one query to others queries, is it possible to copy the first print layout as a template to be used for all other queries?

Unfortunately it is not possible, the layouts are unique per query. You need to use the system template whenever you create a new query print layout.

Create template for a task in Project Server 2013

Hi everyone,
I've got a little question, yes, again :-)
Some user of Project Server haven't scheduled tasks, so they need to create their tasks by the "My Tasks" page, "Add a row" then "Add a new task".
Unfortunatly, these users create a lot of little tasks but which are the same excepted for an information (like number of the bug ticket) and my bosses want to create a template of a task for create this kind of tasks very quickly but I do not find a way to
do that.
Is it possible with Project Server to do something like this ?

There is no default functionality in Project Server 2013 that would allow a team member to create a new task from some kind of custom template. It MIGHT be possible through custom software development, however. Hope this helps.

Keynote comes with a number of built-in templates, but I would really like to be able to use my own standard format. Is it possible to create or upload a template onto the iPad?

To "set default attributes", you need to change the background colour and formatting under the Slides Master.
Choose *View > Show Master Slides* to see the master slides for the theme. You will see the master slides organiser at the left of the screen, just above your slides organiser.
Select any thumbnail of the master slides (e.g. Title & Subtitle), do any formatting as you desire, when you're done, you can close the master slides organiser by clicking on *View > Hide Master Slides*.
If you want to save the new formatting as a theme, choose *File > Save Theme...* (before closing the master slides organiser) and save the theme under a preferred name. Keynote themes are stored at +/Username/Library/Application Support/iWork/Keynote/Themes/+ folder.
