Hi..
You cannot create pages at run time, however you can decide based upon conditions and using commands in Smartforms, which page needs to be displayed next.
Those pages should be created beforehand.

Dynamically Writing a batch file in Java is exactly the same as writing to a simple text file.... you just give it the file extension ".bat".
If you can't write to a simple text file yet, you should probably buy a Java book and start working through it.

How to change the skin at run time

I am using jDeveloper 11.1.1.3 for ADF.
My UseCase: i want to give a dropdown for skins. User should be able to select the skin at run time and it should be loaded. Please let me know how can i achieve it.

As per usecase, looks like you have the LOV containing the different skins.
You can ensure that the application is skinned according to the selected value in the LOV.
Ensure that you have a session scope variable that is set, whenever you change the LOV.

Thanks for your reply, but then...... what will be the skin loaded by default before the user selects the skin - drop down. Do i have to set something default before hand .?Define the LOV such that there are no empty elements. i.e the first element in the LOV is selected.
In the Managed bean, if the session scope is not set, return the skin family for the first element. This would be the scenario when the application loads.

Display the Columns in the grid at run time

My Query is returning fix number of columns in the output.I dont want to Explicitly set the columns i want to see in the display template(display columns field) rather i want to show the number of columns in the grid at run time selected by the user.
Any Suggestion.

Here's is what i came up with:
YOu can run one query to get the list of all columns from a table using the following SQL code:
SELECT COLUMN_NAME
FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS
WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'Customers'
Once you do that you can run the query for your table with the selected columns with the following applet property code:
function MyFunc(){
               document.MyApplet.getGridObject().setDisplayColumns('CompanyName,City');
               document.MyApplet.updateGrid(true);
User the following to extract all selected rows:
selRows = parseInt(myGrid.getSelectedRowCount());
You then itterate through the iGrid to extract the value:

     selRowNum = myGrid.getSelectedRowAt(i);
     selDate = myGrid.getCellValue(selRowNum,1);

Is it QDBSEL + QDBTRANS? Or is it QTIMEOLAPINIT + QTIMEOLAP + QTIMEBD + QTIMEVARDP + QTIMECLIENT? Or perhaps something else?

There is one or more missing photo - typically a page background requiring a photo that is hidden behind a layout with photos in it - look through every page for that - any page tha thas a grey background rather than color is a problem - and it ccan be behind a full page photo so you have to check the page background rather than just look at the page

How to create the new task without time through WCAP

I am trying to create the new task by using WCAP commands. I want to create the task with out time, that is "no time" option that u see in the web access. If I set the duedate without time its putting 12:00 AM as default. Is there any option that I need to set for WCAP command in order to set the "no time" option. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Anusha,
This code correct for your requirement, only thing is you are not able to modify it as per your requirement.
What you have to do is:
1. Copy queried row into into new row, change primary key values(but don't commit your changes here).
2. Now you have two rows in your VO(OLD as well as New)
3. Make any changes if you want using User Interface.
4. At the save button first compare OLD and NEW row, if any value is differing then commit the chnages(it will insert new row in corresponding database table), if no changes are there I mean to say OLD value and NEW rows are same then rollback(it will remove copied row from VO and no row will be inserted in database.)
While comparing rows please note that Primary keys will not be same so don't compare Primary keys while comparing rows.

Insert new page at run time to pull in images

Hello ,
I'm using Adobe LC Designer 8.2, and wondering if there is a way to insert a new page - not in design view but at run time since I have a dynamic plot as image (jpg) to bring into a form (1 image per page). How would l load the image in & create those pages for these plots - it's going to be different amount of images/plot each time when the form run. I know that I have to use script some how, but I'm new at this. Greatly appreciate all the help!

One idea would be.....housing the image alone in a subform and set the subform to use "Top of the next Page" under "Object>>Pagination>>Place:". Also you may have to play with "Object>>Pagination>>After:" option to get things in your favor.

Can you convert your desktop site plan into the phone & tablet version without re-creating the landing pages? This seems too extensive to have to re-design each page?

On your nav bar there is a shorcut to other pages.
The most effecient way I have found to do this from the phone layout,
click on the page icon shown above
type in the name of the page (and select the desktop version as indicated by the icon of the monitor)
select all on that page (CTRL A / Command A) and copy (CTRL C / Command C)
revert back to the phone layout page and paste (CTRL V / Command V)
then resize, delete what you dont need, make any other edits and your done!
There is not a way to copy a page entirely over. The mobile version should have less information and less imagery to enable fast load times.
