Create Video playlists on iPhone???

I tried to create a video playlist but the playlist wont show up on the iPhone unless I add music to the playlist.
Anybody know how to organize videos on iPhone so you don't have to scroll down for 5 mins to find a video you want?

I would have to think that playlists are all created in Itunes. But not sure.

  • Create video playlists on IO6?

Does anybody know how to create video playlists in the new IO6?
I had audio and video on the same playlists. It worked fine in IO5. Now with the upgrade, apple no longer allows audio and video to be on the same playlists. There is not even a way to create a video playlist. There are no apps (that I am aware of) that can do this simply.
Video is still on the ipod touch
    Video is still on itunes
Video (individual) plays on ipod touch
Video plays on itunes (in play lists)
Tried resetting to factory setting - same problem
Called Apple support and after several hours was told "video and audio" are no longer allowed to be on the same list
Walked into an Apple store and was told "never heard of that problem - you are the first"
I just want some functionabilty back. Suggestions anybody?

  • How do I create video playlists in SmartCenter 2.0?

I have several dozen videos that I can see when I open up the video portion of SmartCenter and sort by Datse, Folders or All Videos however when I select "Playlists" it says "Playlists - No videos could be found" at the top of the screen just below the "Dates, Folders, All Videos, Playlists, etc." bar. It would really be helpful to create video playlists, but how do I get the videos that are showing up everywhere else in the playlist window?
    Any help would be appreciated,

Umm... has anyone pondered a situation for a days if not weeks on end before mustering up the courage to ask for help and then found the solution minutes after asking? Yeah, this is one of those occasions. Weird.
In my defense, the user interface seems a bit obtuse. When you click "Playlists" and then "Create Playlist" at the bottom of the screen you then must click "Dates, "Folders", or "All Videos" to search for videos. The "obtusity" is that it didn't seem intuitive to me that I then had to search in those other headings after I selected to create a playlist. I assumed that the "Create a Playlist" window that then popped up would include all videos in the watched folders. When you see a video you will find that there is a green circle with a plus sign on the upper right corner. Clicking that will add it to the playlist that you are creating. When you're satisfied with the playlist, give it a name and then save it.
    *sigh*

  • Creating Video Playlists & Software for converting Videos

How do I create video playlists on my iPod? If I just add all the videos I want to add, they all apear in the 'Movies' section of my iPod.
    Help would be wonderful!
    My other question, was...
Is there another piece of FREE software that I could use to convert my videos into iPod format movies?
    Besides using:
    Videora iPod Converter
    Quicktime 7
    Thanks...

I use WinAVI - it's not free but has never let me down. It also does 3GP files for 'lesser' phones.

  • Creating video aps for Iphone downloads?

I didn't want to cross post the same post. I made the original one in the Compressor forum since my question dealt with video compression first.
    Here's the thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2582515&stqc=true
Can you create video files for Iphone Aps using programs like Final Cut or Imovie, or do you have to use separate programs like FLASH or Shockwave?

I bought Compressor, but took further advice on customising presets and codecs that I found online. The built in Apple H.264 codec doesn't produce as good a result as the freely available X.264 codec. You need the 1.2.27 version available from here:
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/24173/x264encoder
You place the x264Encoder.component in Macintosh HD/Library/QuickTime/. Be very careful not to put it in QuickLook folder by mistake - bad apparently.
Follow the advice in this excellent article to set up the preset for x.264
    http://www.larryjordan.biz/compressor-x264-improve-video/
Having done all this, I set up a preset in both codecs that matched as completely as possible, ran them both on the same video source and compared the results. The x.264 codec is superior. It gives much cleaner results than the Apple one at the same file size.

  • How do  I create video playlist on my iPod Touch 32GB 5th Gen?

How do  I create a video playlist on my iPod Touch 32GB 5th Gen?
I used to be able to create/play video playlists on my iPod Nano 5th Gen without any issues.
How do I accomplish this on my iPod Touch 32GB 5th Gen?
I've tried experimenting with categorizing videos into types, but that does not help nor does it play the videos.
    Thank you kindly!

A Google search only showed use of apps like:

  • Will deleting videos/playlist on Iphone 4 automatically delete files in itunes next time I sync my phone?

I just deleted some songs/videos on my iphone to make some space to download a movie.  I want to know next time I sync my phone will those songs be deleted from my itunes folder? or will they remain.
    any sugguestions are helpful
    thanks
    jazmine

No.  Assuming that they were in your iTunes folder, they will be put back on the phone on the next sync, unless you specify that you don't want them synced, in which case they will just stay on your computer.  I am assuming here that the videos you are referring to are videos in your iTunes library, not videos you have made that are in the camera roll.  They would be gone unless you had previously transferred them to a computer.

  • Different Music Videos Playlist Between iPhone and iPod

Ok i have this problem since i have my iphone and no one answer me, maybe there's no answer so i ask again.
I have a more than 500 music videos in my library, i don't have a problem when i sync my ipod because i have an 80GB for all these videos, the problem comes when i want sync my iphone i have to check and uncheck the videos i don't want sync with my iphone because of course i don't have space in the iphone, so anyone knows if have any option for make 2 different musicvideo playlist and sync one with the iphoe and the other with the ipod.

I have been having this exact same problem. It went away for a month or two after upgrading my iTunes to the latest version, but reared its head again last week. I've tried all of the solutions listed on the support article listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3044 The only thing that seems to work for me is when I disable the "live updating" tab. What a pain.

  • Creating Video Playlists

How do you do it? All I can do is make music playlists. I've looked all around the menues and I can't find a way to make a Video Play list!

Doesn't seem to work. Also, when I click the "Download for iPod" option on the movie trailers part of Apple's website, instead of actually downloading anything, the screen blinks for like a second, then everything goes back to normal and nothing's been downloaded.

  • How do I play video playlists on HD tv using itunes on pc?

How do I create video playlists for use on my Smart TV using iTunes on my PC?  Do I need Apple TV to do that?
    Thank you!!

I found a workaround that puts podcasts back in the video app as well as the music app so you can watch them on TV via an AV cable again.
The instructions can be found at this video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaI9GwPKXkE
    In short:
    1. Make sure both the music and podcast app aren't running on your iPhone.
    2. Plug your iPhone into your computer and disable Podcast syncing for your iPhone in iTunes.
    3. Remove the podcast app from your iPhone
    4. Plug your iPhone into your computer again and turn on podcast syncing, then sync.
    5. Turn off and then back on your iPhone.
After I did this, I found podcasts had returned to being listed in my music and video apps.
    Hope this helps you too!

  • Front Row & Video Playlists?

    hi,
Just got my new mini out of the box and hooked up to our TV. Love it!!!
However, there really isn't much info on Front Row. It works briliantly with .MP4's amd itunes stuff..but I was just wondering if there's any way to create video playlists that Front Row will recognize. I'd like to organize videos insgtead of having one huge list....
Maybe I'm missing it or maybe apple's not there yet..
    thx in advance

you might also want to leave some feedback for apple to add this feature....or they may be already doing it since they plan to release full length movies via itunes..or at least that's the rumor...
Also, maybe check out the other solutions such as mediacentral, centerstage, distantdvd, etc..
I read mediacentral works with video_ts folders and the apple remote....they seem to be more willing to listen to feedback since they want you to use their software..not apple!!
I just ran across this website as well...might be useful
