Create Web Service Ecc 6.0 -Configure Web Aplicat. Serv (SICF, SOAMANAGER)

Hi Experts,
Im trying to consume a Web Service. My client recently upgraded to Ecc 6 version, and want's now to change all teh used RFC's to Web Service, and for all i've red until now this step doesn't seems to be so hard, creating the wsdl from the function module.
My difficulty is on th eWAS, Web Aplication Server, configuration. Im unable to create the wsdl due to the lack of configuration on the WAS. I allready been on the SICF, but i dont know what kind of services need to be activated in order to see the soamanager on the Internet Explorer and create the wsdl.
Can anyone provide me documentation to configure the WAS, or tell me how to configure it?
Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks in advance,

  • Error "web service destination is not configured" in CTS+

    Hi experts,
during deployment with CTS+ I get the error "web service destination is not configured" (see below). In fact there is a web service to be deployed and a WebDynpro-DC using this web service as adaptive web service model. The model uses the destination DACC_PI_WS_METADATA_DEST and DACC_PI_WS_EXECUTION_DEST. I configured both destinations in the server with type "WSDL".
    Any idea what goes wrong?

  • Calling a Web Service in CRM . Is WEB UI the right place ?

    Dear Friends,
We have some ECC Web Service to read some BP related data  available on ECC.
I would like to red this ECC- BP Data in CRM using a readily available Web Service and then disply on WEB UI.
I know how to create a web service in SAP CRM using the new WEB SERVICE tool as well as the old ways of creating a Web Service ( throgh WSADMIN which is obsolete now) . I also know how to cosume web service in a Word Template or Adobe form...
What i dont know and would like to you experrts to help me know is
How can i consume a web service in CRM and read the data on ECC for which this web service is exposed ?
Is it possible to do it in WEB UI or there is any other way ?
Any help in making me understand how to consume a web service in SAP CRM ( to read and use data in WEB UI and not word template or Adobe) is greatly appreciated.
    Looking forward for replies.

    Hi suchita,
There is this useful little search field just on the upper right corner of this page. Ever tried to use it with "webservice consumption"?
My hits from 5 minutes searching:
    SDN is a good resource:

  • Define Web Services in XI and call Web Services from XI

    Xi guys,
I want to create some Web services in XI that will do the following things:
receive an XML message over SOAP (from BEA WebLogic), execute 2-3 calls to an external HTTP Web Server from which I will get a response, export a file into another system, and return the response to the WS client.
As far as I know, I will have to create a Configuration scenario in XI that will contain all these steps (obviously with the help of BPM) and with the help of the Wizard, I will produce the WSDL, the function of which the Web service client will be able to call. I have some questions on that:
    a) Is there a way to define with XI only one Web Service that will contain 3-4 function to do different things? Or one Web Service corresponds to one Configuration scenario?
    b) Also do I need a Sender Agreement and a Sender SOAP communication channel?
    c) Is there a way to construct the WSDL before creating the configuration scenario? Because BEA WebLogic people need it to start development.
    Best Regards
    Evaggelos Gkatzios

    hi,
    a) Is there a way to define with XI only one Web Service that will contain 3-4 function to do different things?
Or one Web Service corresponds to one Configuration scenario?
    b) Also do I need a Sender Agreement and a Sender SOAP communication channel?
      Ans:
If you are create a SOAP communication channel and Sender Agreement then One WSDL used
One Configuration scenario.Another configuration you need to create another WSDL.Because at the
time of creating WSDL you need to give a service name and communication channel.
If without communication channel(using proposal consept creating WSDL) you can use that various
senarios if your sender structure is same.(this time WSDL have the pipeline address with help
of  message interface  fine the mapping and gave the output).
If you create with SOAP communication channel and Sender Agreement WSDL is more secure.
with out communication channel is not a secure one.
If you go with (without sender CC) you can create and gave a WSDL before Scenario.
If you have sender CC then after creating a scenario only you can able to gave WSDL.
If you are createing with sender cc then you need to give a URL
         [http://<host>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:SenderService:SenderCC]

  • HTTP connection from OSB web service to external system via a Proxy Server

    Dear experts,
May I know has anyone tried to use HTTP protocol to send a request from OSB web service to external system via a proxy server? Heard that we need to establish some sort of tunnel (socket) to talk to Proxy Server. Can you please any have sample code or configuration steps to share?
    Thank you very much!!

    Adding Proxy Servers
Use the Summary of Proxy Servers page to add and configure Proxy Server resources and make them available in Oracle Service Bus as a system resource. You must be in an active session to configure or reconfigure Proxy Server resources.
    1. If you have not already done so, click Create to create a new session or click Edit to enter an existing session. See Using the Change Center.
    2. Select System Administration > Proxy Servers.
    3. Click Add.
    4. In the Name field, enter a name for the Proxy Server resource. This is a required field.
    5. In the Description field, enter a short description for the Proxy Server resource.
    6. In the Host-Port Parameters section, enter the following information:
    1. In the Server Host field, enter the host name or IP address of the Proxy Server. This is a required field.
The Server Host name for the Oracle Service Bus proxy server must be identical to the server host name of the actual proxy server.
    2. In the Clear Text Port field, enter the Proxy Server clear-text port number.
    3. In the SSL Port field, enter the Proxy Server SSL port number. You must enter either a clear text or SSL port number.
    4. Click Add.
You can configure multiple Proxy Servers for each Proxy Server resource. This enables Oracle Service Bus to perform load balancing and offer fault tolerance features for the Proxy Server resource.
    7. If the Proxy Server performs proxy authentication, enter a user name in the User Name field, and the associated password in the Password and Confirm Password fields.
These fields are optional, and required only if the Proxy Server is secured.
    8. Click Save to create and save the Proxy Server resource in the current session.
    9. To end the session and deploy the configuration to the run time, click Activate under Change Center.

  • (266758030) Can WebLogic Workshop Web Services be deployed on a different Application Server?

(266758030) Q(asked by Lalit Sudan): Can WebLogic Workshop Web Services be deployed
    on a different Application Server?
A(by Adam Fitzgerald): .jws files are not yet an accepted standard so you can expect
that the WebLogic Workshop Web Services cannot be ported to other Application Servers,
however, it is a general goal to expand the functionality of the Workshop tool for
    other App Servers.

Just so you'll know Oracle9iAS also includes apache as the HTTP server.
As Suncan said, if you want to use Forms on the Web you need the Forms Server engine, and it comes bundled in Oracle9iAS. You'll save yourself a lot of headache if you just install Oracle9iAS and have everything pre-configured for you thus reducing maintanance costs.

    Hi SDS,
you recieved a http 404 error when trying to access the Sharepoint Web service. Http 404 indicates that the resource is not reachable (cf. HTTP 404 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). There could be different reasons for that. I'd suggest rubble checking the URL of the Web service first. Try to access it from a browser on you desktop. If the URL is correc. Most likely the SAP system is not able to connect to the URL. This could, for example, be due to some firewall restrictions. You should ask a SAP Basis colleague if they are able to access the URL of the Web service from the server on which the SAP system is running.

  • Issue in java web service execution after SSL configuration on SOA Suite

    Hi All,
We have a java web service deployed on Oracle Applcation server which is installed in DMZ box. Also Oracle Application Server is SSL enabled.
Java web service is accepting one input string as input and internally invoking an ESB routing service which is present on SOA suite which is located(installed) in company network/LAN.
Issue is when a user is making a HTTPS call to this DMZ web service, instead of making only one call to ESB routing service its making random number of calls to this service. Sometimes ESB routing service is getting invoked for thrice, sometimes five times and so on.
Not sure why more than one number of calls are getting placed from DMZ web service.
If HTTP call is made to DMZ web service it works fine where it calls ESB routing service only once.
Any help on this would really be appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • X.509 Web Service Authentication for ABAP AS Web Service Interaction

We are trying to use X.509 web service authentication with SAP Web AS ABAP between 2 different SAP installations. Company 1 is trying to consume a web service set up by Company 2.
Company 1 has installed Company 2's public key, generated the client proxy using Company 2's WSDL and created a corresponding lpconfig entry.
Then company 2 has set up the profile parameter ICM/HTTPS/verify_client to accept certificates and imported Company 1's SLL client certificate and mapped the user in USREXTID.  Note that Company 1 uses self-signed certificates, so it does not have a root certificate, which is what the documentation says should be imported into the PSE instead of the SSL client certificate.
When Company 1 tries the web service call, it receives a request to authenticate the web service from Company 2. (basic authentication logon screen, even though the web service configuration is set to X.509 Client Certificate.
Should this work or is there a problem because Company 1 uses self-signed certificates or is there something else we are missing?

I think that the problem is in Service Authentication (in transaction sicf). You have to consume web-service, transmitting user-password for access.

ã vInvalid protocol verification, illegal ORMI request or request performed with an incompatible version of this protocolvInvalid protocol verification, illegal ORMI request or request performed with an incompatible version of this protocol.
Could you please let me know, what's going on.
    Thanks!

OK, so there's two threads in this email.
    1. When using a Web browser client and an OC4J standalone instance, the default address of the OC4J website is http://host:8888/.
The port you keep referring to is the ORMI port. That is a different protocol that is used with EJBs, and our remote deployment mechanism. As you have observed, JDeveloper uses it to deploy to the OC4J instance.
    2. The root problem you are seeing is related to the message you posted on the console.
OC4J 10g (10.1.3) Default Web Site. Application: bc4j does not exist. Error creating Web application: webapp
Because this web app is misconfigured, its not starting so you can't access it.
In the j2ee/home/config/default-web-site.xml file, there is a reference to an application called BC4J -- which is not available on the server as a deployed application.
So you need to correct that situation -- BC4J is not normally present in a vanilla OC4J standalone distribution.
You can try editing the j2ee/home/config/default-web-site.xml file and remove the <web-app> entry that mentions BC4J and then try starting OC4J.
If you don't have a lot of time invested in configuring the instance, you could also try extracting oc4j_extended.zip again and starting with a fresh one.
