It is very easy to create users,groups,roles in soa suite 11g manually .Just login to the weblogic console and you find a security realms tab click on that then next a page will open with my realms then click on it you will find a users and groups tab on top click on that then lock and edit the session and from there you can create users groups and also assign roles.You can also use external ldap if you want,Please let me know if this clarifies your doubt

You can't do it with pure Java, and it's not in the core API. You'd have to write a native function to do it, using whatever API Windows provides, and then call it with JNI. Or look for a third party native-based Java library that already does that.

All other tabs and setting are working fine.
I did not find any thing in Adminserver.log

In 'All User Filter' field is left blank
In 'User Name Attribute' I filled sAMAccountName.
Also i check Adminserver-stdout log, the one which we create after we create windows services. There i can see following error

I guess its not able to connect LDAP server. But I checked all the attribues twice (on 10G LDAP configuration) they are working. I am not sure if there is problem in attributes or there is some setting I am not aware about.

Browsing users and groups on WebLogic 11g

I'm having a following "problem". I'm trying to programmatically list out all the users and groups that are currently on WebLogic. I need this because I'm building an SOA application that manages tasks for each user. Is there an API that adresses this problem?

SharePoint tool to create External Users and Groups

Our organization is currently looking for a product that will allow us to create user account and group for users outside the organization (e.g Clients, subcontractors, etc.) and that will only need to access to our external SharePoint Collaboration site.
We have one product right now but it is very problematic. For example if one of our clients need to change their email address which is their username it won't allow it so the account has to be re-created with the new email address and the permissions re-configured
all over again. The groups created using the tool called Roles most of the times don't work. We are testing our SharePoint 2013 environment so we thought it is a good time to find something new. If you know of some products that I can check please let
me know. I will really appreciate it

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create user account and group for users outside the organization.
External User Management seems to be a solution. It allows for easy management of external users and roles.

How to create new user and group on version 10/09 ?

Hello,
I have used previous versions of Solaris 10 installed 1 or 2 years ago, and now, I just installed Solaris 10 x86, version 10/09. I notice that the desktop is different now, where I see "Desktop System for Solaris".
I remember in the past, when logged in as root, I could easily create groups and users.
With the Oct 2009 Solaris x86 version, I looked around, but didn't know how it's done on this version.
Is there a tool to easily do this on the 10/09 version?
Also, will all C programs and UNIX shell scripts on previous Solaris 10 versions (1 or 2 years ago) run
fine on this new Solaris 10, 10/09 version without problems? Thanks.

The GUI to create users is 'smc', which should work in 10/09. The CLI to create users is 'usermod'.

How to create a new user and group on command line?

Hi,
I am trying to install INN, the news server on OS X.4.8 (non-server), but it requires me to create a user and group, both called 'news'.
I know this has something to do with using Netinfo to create them, but I am logged in remotely via ssh and I can't use Netinfo Manager.
How do I create new users and groups via the command line.

The most appropriate way to do this depends on the specifics. I assume you created the user in the Accounts pane of System Preferences. If so, you will automatically have created a group of the same name if you're using Tiger. Whether this is a good way to do it depends on whether the user needs to be a "normal user" who can log in to the machine etc. If not, it is better to create the user and group using another method (command line in Terminal or using NetInfo Manager, for example).

Hi Scripting Guy. I am a Server Administrator who is very familiar with Active Directory, but new to PowerShell. Like many SysAdmins, I often need to create multiple accounts (ranging from 3-200) and add them multiple groups (ranging
from 1 - 100). Previously I used VBS scripts in conjunction with an Excel .XLS file (not CSV file). Since VBS is essentially out the door and PowerShell is in - I am having to re-create everthing.
I have written a PowerShell script that bulk creates my users and adds them to their corresponding groups - however, this can only use a CSV file (NOT an XLS file). I understand that "CSV is much easier to use than Excel worksheets", but
most times I have three sets of nearly identical groups (for Dev, QA and Prod). Performing Search and Replace on the Excel template across all four Worksheets ensures the names used are consistent throughout the three environments.
I know each Excel Worksheet can be exported as a separate CSV file and then use the PowerShell scripts as is, but since I am not the only SysAdmin who will be using these it leads to "unnecessary time lost", not to mention the reality that even
though you clearly state "These tabs need to be exported using this naming standard" (to work with the PowerShell scripts) that is not the result.
I've been tasked to find a way to modify my existing PowerShell/CSV scripts to work with Excel spreadsheets/workbooks instead - with no success. I have run across many articles/forums/scirpts that let you update Excel or export AD data into an Excel
spreadsheet (even specifying the worksheet, column and row) - but nothing for what I am trying to do.
I can't imagine that I am the ONLY person who is in this situation/has this need. So, I am hoping you can help. How do I modify my existing scripts to reference "use this Excel spreadsheet, and this specific worksheet in the spreadsheet
prior to performing the New-ADUser/Add-ADGroupMember commands".

No user and group in console of OBIEE 11g

I'm facing a problem in OBIEE 11g, after I login the console, in security realms, there is no user and group in it, all services has been started, and it prompt following message:
This page is not available because the necessary security providers have not been configured, or those configuration changes are pending and not yet activated. Please activate the changes and (if necessary) restart the Admin Server to make this page available.

Iam also facing the same issue i tried to configure the Microsoft Active Directory.Is it necessary to go to the enterprise manage and have to configure the virtualisation =true and user.login.attr ,after completion of all the steps that are needed in the console .I am unable to see weather it was configure successfully or not while i login to the console and there iam seeing the above issue.

Example of creating a valid LDAP user and group in the Portal tree

I need to create (via bulk LDIP or API) fresh users AND groups into OID that can be used by Portal. In theory it sounds easy - just create an appropriate LDIF file.
What is the best way to achieve this?
I don't the know the structure that should be used in the LDIF file that would create the correct structure held for all the Portal users and groups in OID.
I've looked through the OID admin and dev guides but am still confused as to what exactly I have to do. It seems that Portal accounts are synchronised by a method called Provisioning.
All I want to do is bulk upload Portal compatible users into the repository.
Can somebody please assist.

I have below changes in files
1] In jps-config.xml
-- Added identity store and selected it from drop down in Security Context tab.
2] In weblogic-application.xml
In Security tab --> Role assignment mapped valid-users to principle name.
