Created help file either won't open or opens blank when emailed or copied for another user to see it.
Our HR person made a help file she wants to email to someone or copy to a network share.
-If she emails it the other person cannot open it.
-If she copies it even from her desktop where she saved it to the folder with all the other files, it opens blank.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think they must be swapping out .html for .chm in DW or something. What the OP describes sure sounds like what happens when you do that.

DW doesn't support .chm file types. Adding the extension doesn't compress the images into the file to create a true .chm.
Adding .chm will make a perfectly good .html file stop displaying in DW though.
An easier way to send someone .html help files would be to archive their folder as a .zip then email the .zip. The recipient would then need to extract the archive to view the files in their browser.
I don't know of any way to create real .chm files in DW.

For anything like this I would strongly recommend that you
download the trial version. It is a very simple matter to create a
project and import a PDF to see whether the result is what you
want.

you might want to look into the JavaHelp technology too. Sun offers a complete API for using help from Java applications or applets etc. See http://java.sun.com/products/javahelp for details.
To author complete help sets in JavaHelp format, you could use an application such as HelpExpert, available at http://www.calcom.de/eng/product/hlpex.htm

How do I resolve: You are not permitted to open this document. It may be assigned to another user."

I am the only user on a computer, and have ordered two codes on line, and used them for a long time. Recently redid hard drive, and now I cannot open those two files only. I get the message: "You are nbot permitted to open this document. It may be assigned to another user." I am the only user, and maybe the name of the computer is different. How can I resolve this by accessing what permission and what user it is talking about.

Checking the configuration, this user can create for example AR invoices, but could not see previous records and neither the created by him. Using the Open Item list, the user can see the documents but can not open it. In the other hand the system has not activated the data onwership function.

Issue creating a MatView for another user w/ a private DB Link

I am having an issue creating a materialized view for another user where the select statement for the MV uses a private db link. Looks like the following:
Logged in as user X, I run:
create materialzied view Y.foo
(select blah
from tbl@y_priv_db_link_here);
When I try to run this, I get a permission issue. User X has DBA privilege, user Y has create MV priv and has select priv on the table in the db link.
I can create this MV logged in as user Y. Cant create this logged in a user Y in test or prod environment, so this isn't an option.
Any ideas on how I can create this logged in a user X? I believe the issue here is that since this is a private db link owned by user Y, user X doesn't have access to this db link.

I had this same problem on my 4S. I fixed it by restoring the phone to factory defaults. Previously, I had taken the additional step of restoring from backup but, as soon as I did, the problem returned. The fix is a hassle as I now have to reinstall my apps but at least I can manage mail on the phone.
The problem also occurred on my iPad2 but I'm not restoring it as it's a serious hassle (see above) and I don't actually read much mail on the device.
As a side note, I noticed incredibly high load averages (5+ processes for 1, 5, and 15 minutes; 12+ for 1 and 5 minutes at one point) as well as CPU usage that didn't drop below 15% (apparently all user processes, system seemed to be about normal). As could be expected, this also lead to incredibly rapid battery depletion.
I can't tell what processes were hogging the CPU as neither of my devices are jailbroken and Apple doesn't seem to like 'top' much.

How can I use a manually created help file

Is it possible to use a manually crated help file *.hlp (microsoft help file) in a oracle forms application.
I want to open the help file from in my help menu. How can I do that??

Both are available in D2KWUtil.PLL, usually included in Forms demos.

I have just created a process file in my development PC with OS windows 7. I copy the process file to my testing PC with OS WIndows XP and NI lookout client version. It seems that all graphic is gone and cannot be displayed. What can I do now? Thanks

Yes, you are right.
The development server software is for developing process, either server or client process. The server process has the driver object.
The runtime only server software is for deploying and running the server process. So, your customer needs the runtime only server software to run your process that connects to the PLC. Of course, the customer can use the development server software.

Iphoto 9 won't let me import jpg files. more. My child imported some pics off my camera to another user account on my Mac, but when I try to import them on my account, I get a

I am trying to import some jpg pics off my camera to iphoto. (Version 9). I am doing nothing different than I did the last time I imported them to iphoto. I only have about 250 pictures on my computer, so I know it's not full. The only thing that was done different was that my child imported them to another account on the computer. I have since moved them to my account with the sharing feature. I formatted my camera's memory card, and took about 3 pictures. Even those pictures I still get the error: The following files are in an unrecognizable format. Can someone please help??

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

I don't seem to find the correct setup for this....
With the user "dummy"
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW dummy.thetable BUILD IMMEDIATE REFRESH FORCE ON DEMAND AS select * from real.thetable;
And the materialized view is created ok.
With a DBA user:
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW dummy.thetable BUILD IMMEDIATE REFRESH FORCE ON DEMAND AS select * from real.thetable;
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
I don't want to be switching back and forth from the user to create materialized views, am I missing a permission here? DBA of course has create any materialized view

From the SQL Reference Guide:
To create a materialized view in another user’s schema:
- You must have the CREATE ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW system privilege.
- The owner of the materialized view must have the CREATE TABLE system privilege. The owner must also have access to any master tables of the materialized view that the schema owner does not own (for example, if the master tables are on a remote database), and to any materialized view logs defined on those master tables, either through a SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or through the SELECT ANY TABLE system privilege.
I suspect that, if you first GRANT CREATE TABLE TO DUMMY, you will be able to create the MV.

I have a mac laptop OS 10.6.5, and recently upgraded to Firefox 4 beta, but when I try to use my hotmail account, it either never stops loading and/or many files either won't open at all or keep crashing.

Try Exporting. There are also number of useful Export PDF presets that come with design.

I bundle a file in encrypted form with my project's distribution. User may need to see this file while working on it. I want to load this file in memory, decrypt it there and then display its content to user in read only form.
Is there any way to do this.

And what happens if the OS swaps your application to hard drive while the user goes to lunch? Is that or is that not a problem?
In some business domains that is a problem and in others it isn't.
