Created "Hierarchy Field" not saved in Import Mapping File

Hello experts,
I want to save the mapping created after having imported categories via MDM Import Manager.
Everything works fine as I execute an initial import (In "Map Field" tab, I create a "hierarchy field" based on the three fields "Categorie Name, Categorie Name 2, Category Parent" and mapp the Split Hierarchy field consequently ).
My problem is as I save the Mapping and try to reuse it for a new Categories import, the former "hierarchy field" does not appear anymore. I assume Saving Mapping does not save created hierarchy fields...
Can anyone help me on this?

From XML, with fields "Category Name, Category Parent".
Then in MDM Map Tab, I clone the Field "Category Name" and create the Hierarchy Field with name "Categories", parent field "Category Parent", Child Field "Category Name", and Node name field "Category Name Clone".
Then I map the Split Hierarchy field with the destination field "Category Name [DF]", and the source field "Category Name" with the Remote Key.
The matching field in Match Record Tab is "Category Name [DF]".
I save then the mapping file but am not able to reuse it : as I said, the Hierarchy field disappears !

Qualified Updated Selections not Saved in Import Map

Hello,
I create a new Import Map and Set the Qualified Update setting on a qualified table. When I reopen the map, the Qualified Update option is saved but not the selections for the qualified update. The defaults are saved: all fields are selected as matching qualifers. Create = blank, Existing = blank.
I have tried to recreate a new map and get the same results. Any ideas?

Error while creating hierarchy through " Create Hierarchy field" option

Hi All,
while trying to create hierarchy through Create Hierarchy field option i am facing the following error
I am giving the following inputs
Hierarchy field name : XYZ
Parent field                : Level1
Child Field                  : Level2
Node name field        : Level3
Cannot find the parent ID value "abc" in Field ID Level2 of Table " Hierarchy"
FYI
The source hierarchy is in Columns format with Level1(Parent)---->Lever2(Child of Level1) and Level3(Child of level2)
Kindly guide me where i am going wrong

Hi Sharma,
Your input file should have 3 columns for hierarchy one which will store level 1 information,2nd will have corresponding level 2 information and 3rd will have corresponding level 3 info.
Now in Import Manager go to Partition,select 1st ,2nd and 3rd column.Donot combine the fields. Now map the partition fields with the target hierarchy field.Perform the value mapping and import.
Or
YOu can have one column in the excel file.with values L1>L2>L3(split by some delimiter).
In import manager go to source hierechy pany select the Column and from context menu select option split into hierechy as per the delimiter.
Now map the parttion field and target field ,do value mapping and import.

Not able to import .motn files into FCP

For some reason I'm not able to import .motn files into FCP. While in FCP, I use "send to motion" and uncheck the embed box. After motion opens and I add my motion content, I get the following error when trying to import the .motn file back into FCP "File Error: 1 files(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown". What is strange is that I'm able to create another test FCP project with different media, and everything works fine. All tests and media are done on the same drive.
I'm using the latest updates of everything FCP 5.0.4 and motion 2.0.1
Any ideas anybody?

Canon HF200 and Final Cut Express 4 - not able to import movie files

Hello,
I have a Canon HF200. I have a 16 GB Duracell "pro photo" flash card. When I first connected my camera to my computer and clicked on "log and transfer" all of the movie clips on my card showed up in FCE 4. I did not import them at this time, however.
Now when I connect the camera, only newer videos taken with the camera show up as importable in FCE. Essentially, while the older videos remain on the card, I cannot access them and import them into FCE.
I am not able to import the files, which are saved as .CPI and .MTS files by simply dragging or using the log and transfer option.
If anyone can help me with this problem and tell me how I can retrieve the movie files I would really appreciate it.

Do you own a card reader? Use that instead of the camera to transfer your files. If not, try using disc utility (or toast if you have it) to duplicate the memory card to a disc image (you can burn it to dvd if you want a back up of the original files) and then use the disc image to log and transfer.

Import map file

Hi Experts,
I can see that form MDM Console the Ports table under Admin node has field with type "Inbound" and the name of the import map.
Could anybody tell how to get this Import map file from the repository if my remote system is set up "Inbound/outbound" as MDM ?

Hi,
In order to connect and to save map files please following the following steps:
If you are using text file then follow the steps as
1.Open Import manager.Select repository.enter username &password
2.Select Type as Delimited text/Excel/Access and so on.
3.Enter the source file .
4)Enter the delimiter if Delimited text (eg:space,:,; etc)
5.Select the source and destination table.
6.Map the corresponding source and destination fields.
7.Then go to match records tab select the field as per which the records will b imported.
8.Go to File-Save.Enter the map name.
9.Execute the import.
Next time you want to edit the map or execute the same goto file-Open-map name.

Not able to import .mov files in pre elements 8

Hi,
Using Pre elements 8 not able to import .mov files ,images stored on external drive (WD)
whenever we import it shows icon in premiere elements 8 about the clip but whenever we drag and drop it onto the timeline it opens the add media window again and if we cancel it we get message --could not locate the some files.
Able to import all kind of supported files images,videos in premiere elements 8 stored already in the computer internal hard drive.
changed the scratch disk, in pre elements 8, to internal c: drive (os).
All the files from the same camera.
Please advice, why it is doing like this.

What type of camcorder did this video from?
Version 8 is generally not compatible with video from still cameras, and this video must be converted before it can be edited.
Also, remember that video editors do not actually add your media clips to a project but build connections to them. In other words, once you add a clip to a Premiere Elements project, you MUST maintain a connection to the clip's location. So, if you're connecting to video clips on your external drive, you can not remove your external drive from your computer or this connection will be broken.

Rep-52005 specified key PSREP does not exist in key map file

i am trying to reduce the length of my URL when calling a report (9iDS) from a parameter form
in 9i using web.show_document(url,'target'). I have defined a key "psrep" at the end of my cgicmd file at reports\conf . The error i get is
rep-52005 specified key PSREP does not exist in key map file.Stuck here.

uncomment #KEYPMAPFILE=CGICMD.DAT. remove the #
then for development set
reloadkeymap=yes (same file - rwservlet.properties).
Now it should reload everytime. (otherwise for every change u need to restart oc4j_bi_forms)
(For * production* may be you want to set reloadkeymap=no once all testing is done)

LR4.3 does not show previously imported CR2 files (5D mark III) by trial version

LR4.3 does not show previously imported CR2 files taken using 5D mark III by trial version.
When tried to synchronize the files not show when browsing, the import window comes up. All the Jpeg files, Raw files are seen in the window. None of them are highlighted nor selectable. LR is assuming that those files are already imported but if imported they are being shown for browsing or editing

Maybe you have set a Filter in LR. Press Ctrl-L once or twice to turn it off.
Maybe you don't have "All Photographs" selected in the Catalog Panel on the left.

SRM 7.0 customer fields not saved in shopping cart

Dear experts,
I have created 2 fields using the fields extension in the customizing and set the metadata for them to be displayed. The fields are visible on screen. However when data enteres, this data is not being saved in the Shopping cart document.
Any clues?
Another question, which is a bit techno, is when i have extended the SC screen using the enhancement framework instead of using the standard extension options. i would have thought that by binding these fields to the standard header node with the custom fields as structure would have saved me the job of throwing data and fetching data from the table/bapi. This isn't working either. I reckon the problem will be related to issue #1 above.

Hello Ali,
did you extend both the structure INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC and INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF? It should be useful to define a custom structure that contains your fields and append it to both the structure named above. Then re-check if the metadata structure has been enhanced properly (in your case, view /SAPSRM/V_MDF_IC).

EDIT: I was assuming you were intended to add new fields at item level. If your task is to add fields @ header level, simply substitute HEADER to ITEM in the structure's name.

Not all form's fields not saving

I have created a form from a blank PDF sheet.
I have saved the form and enabled usage rights for Adobe reader.
When I open the form in reader, it indicates I can save the form. If I fill in the form, and save it, it seems to work as intended. When I re-open the file, only 20% of the fields appear. I cannot see the previous data, even if I select the field.
If I save the form in as a text file all of the entered data is saved properly.
Basically the form is not saving ALL of the entered data.
What might be the problem?

There are unnamed text fields in your table. This is the reason when you re-open the form, no data is remerged back in, because there is no field name to match with. Column cells under the headers,
Power Output:, ERP:, Antenna Height (Meters):, and Emission Designator(s):
all suffer from this problem.
The fix would be to give these table cells names.

Create table field (not record) using ADDT software

Hi,
I wondered if anyone can give me detailed help on how to create a table field on-the-fly instead of creating records, using ADDT software.
For Example:
I have two tables.
One table holds language names and codes, ie Australia and AU for the shortened code.
The other table holds country descriptions, but each table field is the shortened country code (in this case AU)
So what I want to do, is when I add a new language in the admin (ie, France) then it will create france in table 1, and also create the table field FR in table 2.
I am not up on programming, so if anyone can detail as much as possible, you will be saving my bacon here.

Sounds like what you need is a "foreign key" in the detail table that points to the id of the country in the country table.
ADDT is perfect for this even if the documetation (and this klunky forum) is now third class.

Make special note of Step 2, item 5, second bullet point.
(Note item 4 demonstrates the point about pathetic documentation)
This would be applicable to your Detail Table that needs to have its foreign key pointing to the id of the country table.
For example, consider two tables with these fields:
Countries:
id_cou (the record ID)
name_cou (the name of the country)
isocode_cou (the ISO code for the country eg: AU for OZ)
Details:
id_det (the record ID)
idcou_det (the foreign key which is the ID in the Countries table - so this is an interger field - not a text field)
detailfield1_det (some detail info)
detailfield2_det (some more detail info)
etc
etc
So in the Dynamic LIst Wizard for the Details list you make sure that the foreign key points to the primary key of the Countries record.
Now, here is the neat thing: When you get to creating the form for the Details table the foreign key gets displayed as a menu showing the actual names of the countries listed in the countries table.
Experiment with that and see how you go.

Hierarchy Data not saved after Hierarchy Load

Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem with the hierarchy data load in SAP BPC NW 7.5 SP06. I have already used /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER & /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_HIER once to load the data from BI to BPC and it worked fine that time.
Now I have made some changes in the Hierarchy at the BI side. When I run the package link list, the /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER chain runs fine and the master data, description for Attribute and Hierarchies are loaded perfectly. But whn the /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_HIER is run, the changes are not saved in the BPC Member sheet. I have manually make the changes in the member sheet and Process the Dimension.
Can we process the Dimension explicitly after the Hierarchy load again?
Does anyone have an idea about this?
Any help is appreciated.

Double check whether /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER is bringing all the ID's,Texts and Hierarchy Nodes. If required drop the data from dimesion member sheet and load it again.
Double check the Hierarchy and level setup while running /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_HIER.
(when we are in SP05, it was not bringing the multiple Hierarchies, now we are in SP07 loading multiple hierarchies but not the TEXT fo the Id's some inconsistency)
