Created multiple websites with iwebsites, now need to save multiple domains

I have created multiple websites with iwebsites on iweb 06, now I want to save these sites so in case there is any problems when I upgrade to 08. How do I do this?

Hello Paul,
You need to locate the Domain files for each website. You should find these under your account (the house icon in the finder)/Library/Application Support/iWeb.

    Just create a new page (or use the existing photo page) on your external site and use html to add an iframe sized to the page and link it to the mobilme gallery page. Works for me just fine when showing my gallery from a yahoo site.
    like this
    <iframe scrolling="off" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="yes" style="width:100%;height:100%;border:none" src="http://gallery.me.com/your_account_name"></iframe>

  • Is it possible to create Responsive websites with Adobe Muse?

    Hello,
    The question is in the Subject line.
    I would like to create Responsive websites in Muse so that they can flow to adjust to desktop > tablet > smartphone screen sizes, and I wondered if this is possible with Muse.
    Thanks,
    Chris.

    A little rant on this topic:
    "Responsive" works only so well. Very often a "responsive" web site can look like it wasn't designed for any screen at all; instead it ends up looking like a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with a little better color and graphics. Nothing is ever really proper or composed. It's a page being Jack of trades and King of none. I look at a lot of those pages and just go "blah."
    We have very extreme differences in display resolution from one device to the next, both in terms of absolute pixel count and pixel density. There really is no way to accommodate them all properly unless you specifically design pages for each resolution -all with assets sized specifically for each resolution setting. Some people are still using old, outdated displays like 320x480 on an old iPhone or 1024x 768 on an old CRT monitor hooked up to some old WinXP system on its last legs. 1280x720 is common on a lot of older Android phones and old HDTV sets. 1920x1080 has become very common for new desktop computer monitors and laptops. 2560x1440 had been the highest pixel count one could see in a monitor, but that is now getting surpassed by 4K and even 5K displays. One of Dell's 15" notebooks has a 3200x1800 display. 4K UHDTV sets with 3840x2160 resolution are hitting affordable price levels now; most have built in web browsers. The newest 27" iMac has a 5120x2880 display. Add in the additional factor many desktop and notebook users don't have their web browsers filling the entire screen. I just don't see how someone can create a "one size fits all" approach to cover all of those different screen settings.
    Here's one thing I would like to see in the future: the computer industry settling on some screen resolution settings, screen orientation and aspect ratio. We wouldn't need "responsive" so much if various device makers would stick with some well established standards. We don't need oddball settings, like what Apple put out in its last two iPhone generations (640x1136, 750x1334 and 1242x2208). It's bad enough mobile devices capture a lot of vertical video. Too bad they're not designed to encourage users to hold the devices horizontally.
    I wouldn't mind seeing Muse add new features to help designs be more responsive. But I'd like to see more done in the way of improving SVG support (vector graphics scale up and down to any resolution). I'd also like to see Muse support HiDPI in more than just the 2x setting.

  • How do I publish my website with iweb now that mobile me is closed

    How do I publish the website i am creating with iweb now that mobile me is closed?

    You will need to find a 3rd party web host. I personally use IX Webhosting and have been happy with them for several years now.
    Depending on the version of iWeb you are using you have a couple of publishing options:
    iWeb '09 (3.0.4) you can publish to an FTP Server or a local folder. ( With the built in FTP in iWeb you will end up with an address like "www.YourDomain.com/sitename/Home.html )
    iWeb '08 you can publish your website to a local folder

  • ECC6 EHP5 issue with authorisations now need access to S_DEVELOP

    Hi
    We have ECC6 and have just upgraded to EHP5 and have found that many HR reports/transactions now need access to S_DEVELOP authorisation object.  This  has caused issues with our user roles.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Many thanks

    Hi Julie,
    Please implement SAP note :  1487329  "Additional Authorization Check in ABAP Workbench" that should solve your issue. There is also note 1617448 "WD ABAP Team Calendar needs S_DEVELOP authorization to load". Hope it helps,

  • Creating new website with Fluid Grid Layout in CS6 - CS3 Transitions problem

    I am making my second website with Fluid Grid layout and as with my last one, it seems I can't use CS6 transitions. Each time I go to add a new transition, Dreamweaver stops working and shuts down. Should you be able to use the transitions function with CS6 transitions or not? In the end, what I want to do is create a behaviour where one image is swapped with another with a click (not a rollover as it won't work on mobiles, I believe).
    Thank you

    Add a link to jQuery's Latest Library to your document <head> tags.
    <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js"></script>
    Add the jQuery function code to <script> tags in your document. I typically put them right above the closing </body> tag.
    <script>
    $(document).ready(function () {
        $("#one").click(function () {
            $("#one-a").toggle('slow');
        $("#two").click(function () {
            $("#two-a").toggle('slow');
        $("#three").click(function () {
            $("#three-a").toggle('slow');
    </script>
    </body>
    As to why DW is closing you down, I don't know.  That's not an expected behavior.
    Without seeing your code, I'm going to guess that your CSS transition logic is incorrect or you're attempting to add transitions to the FluidGridLayout.css which is never a good idea.  Always use a separate, external style sheet for your manually added content styles.  Changes to either boilerplate.css or the temperamental FluidGridLayout.css files can result in problems.

  • I created a website with iweb, some of the links do not work on ie

    Icreated a website on iweb, originally had problem with firefox, I was helped and that issue was resolved.  I just discovereded that some of my links within the site are not hot/working.  It seems to be working on safari, firefox and google chrome but not on internet explorer and it is not all the links.  Any suggestions?

    Hmm, okay I'm not entirely sure about this one. I know that a lot of iWeb users say that they have some issues with IE, and I know that lots of shapes and shadows can have an affect on an iWeb site's appearance in iWeb. But it seems strange that it would only happen on that one page, when the other pages are pretty similar.
    I would try the rage software/webcrusher method, as it is possible that if you run your site through webcrusher, it will end up working. That tutorial mentions not having shapes and shadows, but I doubt that's something you'd want to get rid of entirely as that seems to be the bulk of the design, but it's still worth a shot to just optimize the site and see if it works.
    If you need help with it, e-mail rage software and their support guys will be able to lend a hand.

  • Can I use iWeb to create a website with visitor purchasing options?

    I'm wondering if it's possible to use iWeb to create and publish a website for a small business like mine where visitors to the site can select items and have the option to make credit card purchases from the site. Obviously all the security for online purchasing would need to be there also. Is iWeb capable of that or does Apple offer a different web page software that can do this?
    Thanks to anyone who can help,
    jburkett

    Welcome to the discussions. Not natively.
    ...or does Apple offer a different web page software that can do this?
    As far as I know, Apple has no s/w offerings of that sort. Bear this in mind when considering e-commerce and the MobileMe Service:
    “The Service is designed for personal individual use and is not intended to be used for commercial business purposes, including, but not limited to, transacting online sales or software distribution via an e-commerce site.”
    ...Quoted from the MobileMe Terms of Service. PayPal buttons can be inserted into iWeb pages via the HTML Snippet window — but you may want to consider more complete alternatives such as this:
    http://blog.weebly.com/2/post/2009/05/announcing-weebly-e-commerce-features.html
    ...You could hyperlink from iWeb to your "shop" there and there's even a way to hyperlink to it from iWeb's navigation bar.

  • Create .Mac website with different name?

    My dot Mac account uses my name -- convenient for email. When I go to create a blog, which I'd rather not do under my name, iWeb publishes to a url with my dot Mac ID as part of the path. Is there some way to change that?

    You can obtain a "Personal domain" and redirect or assign your web.mac.com account as a CNAME. I use www.ipower.com for $6.50 a year and a lot of people pay godaddy.com $9.99 a year for the same thing. Although with ipower I use a masking redirect (which always shows the domain you choose) and haven't seen if they offer the CNAME option. .Mac has instructions if you go to your account settings and click on "Personal Domain". But don't actually go through the process until you've set up on your domain provider's site because it will make your site inaccessible if it's not set up right (which can be fixed by deleting the Personal domain settings on .Mac).
    Good luck!

  • I have created my website with Muse and it is currently being hosted with godaddy...

    When I access it via my mac and Iphone, it looks and functions just as it should, but when it's accessed via a windows platform pc, all of the fonts are cut in half vertically. Is this a Muse issue, a platform issue or both, and what can I do?! Help!
    My site is www.shears-creative.com
    Thanks,
    Laura Shears

    Can reproduce the problem in Safari and Chrome but not in FF or IE. Looks like a general issue with text rendering through Bubbler One webfont in particular on these browsers. If you look at this font's specimen in Chrome/Safari at Google Fonts website, you would experience the same issue - http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Bubbler+One. Here's how I see it at my end in Chrome - http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/vinayak/2013-06-19_1723.png.
    Would suggest trying an alternate font in this case as this appears to be more of a general problem.

    Hi bugmenow,
    I disagree, video tutorials aren't always easy to use. You
    have to stop them all the time and if you don't want any sound (for
    example at your work) it isnt possible to use video tutorial. Next
    to that there aren't so many video tutorials as normal
