Creating a 3840x1080 wallpaper problem

Hi guys,
I have recently purchased Photoshop CS5 (x64) but I am having difficulty creating an image with a 3840 x 1080 resolution. I have a dual screen setup (2x 1920x1080 screens) and would like to make a desktop background that can fit across both perfectly. I want to make two 1920x1080 images into one 3840x1080 image, if you understand me correctly.
When I create a blank 3840x1080 image by clicking File>New and then inputting the correct width and height etc, if I then drag the two 1920x1080 images into Photoshop they do not maintain the correct proportions and instead are smaller than they should be. This means that I have to then stretch the images over half of the blank 3840x1080 image, but this is very difficult to do perfectly (even when I click show "pixel grid"). There must surely be a way of making the JPEGs/images maintain their correct proportions when I move them into Photoshop.

I can only give you advice for a windows system. If you displays are identical or have the same DPI resolution and you primary display is on the left your job is easy. If the displays have different DPI resolution they will display the image at two sizes and since both of your displays display 1920x1080 pixels they will also have different physical sizes. My set up is more complex my primary display is on the right is a 15" 4:3 12"x9" aspect ratio and displays 1600x1200 pixels at 133DPI my second screen is on the left is an 18" 16:9 16"x9" aspect ratio displays 1360x768 pixels at 85 DPI to create a seamless wallpaper I have to create an image where the right side is place in the left and is 1600x1200 pixels (4:3) 133 DPI and the left side is in the right that is 1360x1200 that has been scaled down from a larger number of pixel to be display at the lower 85DPI resolution only the top 1360x768 pixels (16:9) are displayed. To have windows seamless display the image across the displays you need to use the TILE option. My wallpaper is created with a Photoshop action and look funny in Photoshop. Yours would look normal. All you need do is set the rectangle marquee tool to mode fixes aspect ratio 32:9 and draw out the crop you want. then do an image crop followed be a image size resample constrain and set the to pixel width to 3840 and set the interpolation to what you want to use. Here is and example of one of my wallpapers images.
looking at my desktop you see
note bird same image left screen 85DPI right screen 133DPI
The action works on a large image
That one was done for my old setup where the left screen was was a 4:3 1024x768 all I needed to do was set the ratio to 8:3 and size the left hand side down for the 84DPI resolution display and place it on the right.... save a 2624x1200 image.
Isn't Photoshop fun.

Photos App and Wallpaper Problems in iOS8

     I'm a fan of photos of Apple because of its retina display (I'm using an iPod touch 5th Gen 32gb)... it gives my images the best quality and real sharpness of every image. But when I updated to iOS8. I found some tiny problems.. well it is tiny, but for a Multimedia artist like me.. its a very BIG DEAL.
The Photos App:
     Whenever I open up some of my photography in the Photos app, it loses it's sharpness. it is not that sharp, and to sharpen it.. i had to zoom in and zoom out. Unlike in the older versions of iOS, the photos (in any given resolution) will be automatically sharp when I slide through my images. In iOS8, it simply don't and it is really frustrating. Try it yourself to see the difference.
note: my photography is straight from my DSLR camera then I just put it in my iPod. You may suggest to resize it, yeah I do, but in iOS7 the sharpness is really good.
Changing my wallpaper:
     I always make my own high quality wallpaper through my photography and my works. And my wallpaper always looked very sharp and great. I haven't changed my wallpaper since I updated to iOS8, last night I created a new wallpaper (in Photoshop) and when I changed it to my iPod... the quality is just not that good. (Problem is similar to the Photos app) The sharpness is just not there. I can't appreciate my "Retina" display anymore.
Hope you guys hear this out and fix it.
P.S. in iOS7 I do the similar stuff and it works just fine, in iOS8 it really doesn't and it is really irritating.

Remote Desktop Client update 3.7.1 has been updated without any permission and now creating umpteen number of problems since December 7, 2013. Now my gmail is empty and unable to see any email. Most of the time my local host is: 92.242.132.27, I do not know why?
Now I want to uninstall my update 3.7.1.
I seek help to resolve my problem.

The exact implementation depends on the use case.
You can loop through the results

Pdf's created in Indesign having problem in "Black" color when it overlap with other color.

Please respond to this as soon as possible since this is now in printing stage we need to send it immediately.
Adobe disabled attachment, I just made a screenshot and sending you the image as attachment for your reference.
The design has "Black" overlapping on "Blue" giving transparent on Blue color, see the pdf for reference.
Please not that there is no transparency in "Black" or any other color used in that page.
This is related to "preserve overprint" problem, when I switch off the preserve overprint in "distiller" setting I am getting the correct result but "Black" become "Knockout" instead of "overprint".
Is there is any way to solve this problem.
Please advice.

When you Knockout the colour it should cut a hole in the shapes below it -
Start by creating a New Black Swatch
Then Apply that swatch to your black frame
Below I have turned off the Black Separation, and you can see that it has knocked a hole right through the items below - I've also shown you the Attributes Panel - you can see in the Spearations panel to that the black is still 100%
Below is what happens when you have Black set to Overprint
YOu can clearly see that the values are added up - You now have a 284% ink coverage here - so anywhere the black goes over the green here the values are added together and that gives you a different shade of black, because the Black is PRINTING OVER the other colours and adding, as ink is transparent, not opaque.
If the black frame goes off into the white it will be 100% for whatever is touching the white, and then 284% when hitting the green here, so you get two distinct shades of black.

How do you create a PRINTABLE wallpaper pattern?

This may sound really stupid but I have searched the internet thoroughly and can not find an answer to this.
I am fluent in Photoshop and semi fluent in Illustrator. I run CS6 for both.
No what I want to be able to do is create a repeating pattern that can then be printed as wallpaper and pasted to the wall.
As you can imagine there are lots of hurdles to get your head round and I can find any support anywhere.
Traditional wallpaper is 53cm wide by 10metres long per roll.
The wallpaper will have either a 1/4 or 1/2 drop.
I need the pattern to repeat seamlessly top and bottom and left and right because its wallpaper!
I have been experimenting with the pattern tool in illustrator but with no real luck. I can create a pattern that drops by 1/4 or 1/2 but it gets all weird on the vertical repeat so its unusable.
I understand that this question will be for a very select few but I hope to get some help!

The backmost rectangle in a pattern defines the size and repeat increment of the pattern tile.
This rectangle must be at the bottom of the stack (Cut, Paste Behind) when the tile is drawn.
Here’s a simple example:
The uncoloured rectangle is carefully drawn to co-incide with the desired pattern-repeat.
The actual pattern can then be scaled and/or rotated using the appropriate tools and following the tool dialogue.

Create Web Photo Album Problem

Please help!!!!!! I have the Adobe Web Premium Suite CS3 so I
have all the programs loaded on my computer.
I have been working on this for 2 days and cannot get this
command to work. I have 15 folders of pics that need to be put up
and I want family to be able to click on the thumbnail and open up
to a larger pic. There are over 100 pics in there. I loaded all the
pics in their own folders; I have tried jpg, tiff, jpeg, psd and
gif pics; (I separated them by file name so there are none mixed in
the folders) I put the pic folders inside my web page folder, then
I tried it on my desktop and I tried to use My Pictures folder.
This is how I am doing this:
I have the index.html page open on Dreamweaver CS3
I hit Command > Create Web Photo Album >
fill out "Photo album title:
fill out "Subheading info:
fill out "Other info:
In the "Source images folder:" when I Browse I go to the
folder and
I click on it and when that opens there are no pics in there.
Nothing shows up at all.
I finish up the rest and an error message shows up "An error
occurred".
Anyone know what I am doing wrong????

Creating a spatial index problem

Hi there
I have to create a table in Oracle Spatial and use it with MapInfo MapX 4.51 OCX to insert some features in it.
I read a thread in the MapX forum where I learnt that I had to create my table (CREATE TABLE statement), add a record in MAPINFO_MAPCATALOG table, and then add a line to the SDO_GEOM_METADATA_TABLE table. With this, I can add some features in the table by MapInfo, and I can use the INSERT clause in Oracle. Well. But when I try to use the table in MapX, I can't even load it nor insert a feature : I have an Oracle error saying "ORA-13226 interface not supported without a spatial index".
When creating a spatial index in Oracle, I have got this message :

The index is still created but marked at FAILED, so it is now impossible to insert features in it (even by INSERT clause).
The newly created table is empty, and it was created on the basis of another existing table. The records added in SDO_GEOM and MAPINFO_MAPCATALOG were copies of the records concerning the source table.
And I have finally granted SELECT and UPDATE on SDO_GEOM_METADATA_TABLE table and USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA view to the user doing the operations.
Any clue ? I am using MapX 4.51 and Oracle 9.2.0.1.0.

There is something wrong with accessing metadata.
To identify where the problem is:
- run the create-index from sqlplus (and not from mapx)
- check whether the user creating the index can
see the metadata from user_sdo_geom_metadata. (This
user also needs create-table, create-sequence privs).
Let us know what happens.

Create an aac version problem bug

Hello ! okay so since 30 minutes I'm trying to create an Aac version of a song... I had many problems but I'v solved them. For example I didn't find ''Create aac version '' .
Now I'm clicking on ''create aac version '' but the only thing it's telling me is ''non of the selected files were conevrted because they could not be found ''
I tried going in my preferences and every thing is okay in my importing settings... it's aac.
But I still have the problem ! What am I supposed to do ?

What version of iTunes are you using and what computer OS are you using? Do you have the song selected before you try and create the AAC version?

Creating callable object+ authorization problem

I am following the tutorial to create the first process (GP). I assigned all designtime specific roles. I can now create a content package object. But when I try to create the callable object, I come across the following error:
You are not authorized to start the design time

Director 12- can't create a windows projector - problem writing file error

I am trying to create a windows projector of a project. when I get the following error - problem writing file - file name- Can't compress file that has been modified and not saved. The file has not been modified and has been saved. Any help would be great.

You say you have tried publishing to a new empty folder. From the video I can see that the folder has table1.app in there (25 secs in) which is a Mac projector that has been published.
Yet you have Windows Projector checkbox ticked at the start of the video.
I publish Mac and Windows projectors to entirely seperate folders as a matter of practice.
I call the folders "Published" and "PublishedMac" and that is where the respective projectors for each piece of software lives.
Perhaps there is some mix up between Mac and Windows publishing that is going on because
you are publishing both to the same folder?

CRM 2007 when create new track have problem

Hi, buddies:
I am on CRM 2007 (CRM 6.0 SP01), and from Development and Extension Guide - SAP E-commerce 6.0, seems like I should chooese CRM JAVA Customer Project 5.0(CUSTCRMPRJ), and under this SC, you can see a lot of componets which is lower release (it is automatically load from SLD, and some of them are 5.0), so if I check-in these SCA files which is on release 6.0, would it be a problem?

Wallpaper problem with newly imported images. 1680x1050 displaying @840x525

Hello,
I imported some new images into Aperture and I want to use them as Desktop wallpapers for my computer. The images original size are 1680x1050 and they appear to retain they're size upon import.
I then go to System Preferences -> Desktop and ScreenSaver and find my images in the project I placed them in. All my previous imported images that were imported many months ago still display fine however these new images are displaying 840x525! I know the exact size because after selecting the image I can drag its thumbnail view from the preview area.
I then tried just specifying the folder in my hard drive where the images are located and the Desktop and Screensaver applet had no problem displaying the images at their original size 1680x1050 so I don't believe anything is wrong with them.
I tried looking throughout Aperture if there was an import setting that could be affecting this but I didn't find anything. The only thing I've done recently was upgrade my system to 10.5.4 with the Software Update tool. Is there anything else that can be wrong here?
Note: I tried using this wallpaper as well as still have the same issue, http://ironmanmovie.marvel.com/downloads/desktops/images/desk03_1680.jpg
I would appreciate any insight to what can be causing my images to display smaller than they really are on my wallpaper. When viewing them in Aperture they are the correct size.
