Creating a banner for "Featured Podcast"

Hi everyone,
My podcast "This Week in League" just got one of the featured slots on the Australian/NZ iTunes store (massive thrill!). For example, when you open the iTunes Store and click "Podcasts", it's one of those big banners that cycle through on the Podcast Homepage.
My question is this: should I have been contacted about creating and supplying a banner? The other 3 or 4 shows that are in the featured rotation all have banners that appear to have been optimised for the size of that main panel, but ours looks as if an Apple staff member has gone to our website and grabbed the header logo off there and put it in there.
I'd love to supply a proper banner optimised for the space that looks a lot better if I could, but I'm not sure of the channels I'd go through to do so. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Congratulations on being featured: it's an achievement, given the competition, and few people manage it. I'm afraid I don't know anything about how it works; you would have to contact iTunes Support. They are notoriously unhelpful, so I don't know whether you will actually get anywhere. Go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'. You will see a link to either 'Express Lane', which will guide you eventually to some contact options, or you may see a link to email them.

I have used keynote to create a banner with transitions.
It plays OK on the web but doesn't play on the iphone or Ipad, unless i hit the control panel.

I created a banner for my site. On that banner I want to create a text animation preferibly in flash

cs4. I need the text to appear throught the left side an on to the middle of the banner and dissapear. I also need animated text to come in through the right side and do the same.

click on the text symbol and create static text that you want to animate. when finished, right click the text and click convert to symbol/movieclip. then use the timeline to motion tween and alpha tween your movieclip.

I am creating a banner for my website

I have a header picture which is the total width of the header. 760 x 200. I want to put a navigation bar inside of this div, on top of the picture right inside corner.

Create banner for blog

how can I create a banner for my blog. specifically how can I copy the text box and save it as an image?

Probably the simplest way other than copy and paste (which may or my not work) is to take a screenshot of the text.
With the text box visible, CMD-SHIFT-4 - that will turn your mouse pointer into cross-hairs > click (and hold) at the upper left corner of the text and drag to the lower right corner of the text box > release the mouse button. a PNG file will be created entitled "Screenshot XXX.PNG" where XXX is the timestamp. Use this image on your banner.

Should I create a new iTunes account for a podcast?

We are still in the process of getting our first podcast edited and ready to go, along with the website, podcast hosting, etc... But I was curious about when we are ready to submit the podcast to iTunes.... Should I ceate a new iTunes account, dedicated to the podcast, or use my own personal iTunes account to submit. I'm a little hesitant about using my own, since I'm not sure how that affects anything in how the podcast is displayed, or notifications from iTunes. I would rather have communications go through the E-Mail for the domain I have set up for the website/podcast, but it's not the end of the world.
If it's used strictly for authentication, then it most likely won't be an issue. I just wanted to verify how it is used, and best practices, before submitting our first episode.

It is just for authentication - no need to create a new account for your podcast.
Just submit with the one you already have.
Any changes to your show in iTunes are managed via your RSS feed - not from your iTunes account.

http://myinfo.apple.com is inoperable. I need to create a new account for an Administrator for our Podcast Site Manager account. We have one that no one can access. Can someone assist or point me in the direction of someone at APPLE that can? I called their helpdesk and THEY couldn't even help.

Can one create a smart playlist for multiple podcasts and to play one after the other on your iPod? I want to combine podcasts of the same topic in a smart playlist. When I tried to do this I chose smart playlist, album starts with, and then did it again for each podcast I wanted. That didn't work. If it can be done how do you do it?
I have a fifth generation iPod which is always updated to the latest as well as the itunes.

I created a banner in Photoshop for a BANS software (how wide?)

My banner was originally 780 pixels wide for the top of this URL: http://www.cheapcameras.ws but how wide should the banner actually be to fit at top of this page? Is anyone familiar with BANS btw? Or, where in the source view for this site would I navigate to verify the pixel width of that spot it should go into?

Because you are using a template system, you would have to load the banner up to the server in the appropriate folder and direct the HTML to that file, this is no something that you do with Photoshop. You can create the banner in Photoshop, but you have to do the rest of it online after loading the image.
When you direct the template to use the banner created in Photoshop, it should automatically load in the dimensions. You should be using the help system for the template software on how to do this.

Create a pullup banner for show - beginner

Hi there,
I would like to create a pull up banner for my company to bring at exhibitions, shows etc and I would like to use InDesign as I feel more comfortable with this software. Do you have any advises? How big the font should be? Any good tutorials? I checked on YouTube and it was pretty useless.

Most printers have different sizes for their pull up banners which results in different dimensions.
Some will want it designed at full scale. Some will want you to work at 1/4 scale and so on.
You should also enquire about the resolution your images should be at for good reproduction.

Create Banner for Premiere Elements

I am trying to create a banner in Photoshop Elements to go at the bottom of a video in Premiere elements. I can't create the banner on the bottom of the layer, it always is in the middle of the layer. How can I move it?

Creating test data for a problem

Hi,
I've been using this forum for a few months and it has been extremely useful. The problem is that I actually have no idea how to create test data for a specific problem. I've tried googling but to no avail. I have had other users create test data for some of my problems using a 'WITH' statement but it would be great if someone could explain the logic behind it and how to approach a specific problem where in the query I use multiple tables.
I know it's probably a stupid question and I'm relatively new to sql but it would help a lot if I understood the process.

Mp3 compressing for a podcast

Hey everyone
I'm doing a podcast through Garageband 3. GB3 saves the file as a mpeg4 file in itunes but I convert it to mp3 because that's how windows people need it. Mp3 files are normally at least 2-3 times bigger. I was wondering if there was a way that I could compress the file so it wouldn't wouldn't be so big for my podcast subscribers?

If you are using the "podcast" feature when you create your audio file, it might be forcing you to export the file in a quicktime .mp4 format. If you delete the audio track up top which is for pictures, you can export the file as AIFF ... which is full quality.
In iTunes, I use the MP3 Converter and have it set to 128kbps -- but in Mono (not stereo), which effectively records at 64kbps because it gets rid of one of the stereo tracks. I use it for an audiobook, and I think it sounds good and the file size isn't to outlandish.
