Creating a Classic Surfboard Logo

Does anyone know where I can find a vector download like the base of this classic surfboard logo? I am working on a simular logo and really like the curved diamond outline. I'm pretty sure I can accomplish the fill, text and such, but I'm having a great deal of trouble trying to create the basic diamond.

just use the pen tool and make that image as your layer reference, then resize it after.

Error creating a classic HFM application in Hyperion 11.1.2.2

I am trying to create a classic hfm application in Hyperion 11.1.2.2. When i enter application name and other information and press submit it shows message 'Creating new application' but then gives an error

All of HFM related services are running fine. But I have stopped EPMA related services assuming they are not needed for Classic HFM application creation.

Need to increase database (where HFM Schemas are created) processes and sessions. once after increase you should be able to open the application without any issues.
Looks like newly redesigned hfm v11.1.2.2 need more db sessions & processes.

The short answer is:
Single click on the document you created in Classic, bring up your 'popup' menu (right click or control-click), select 'Open With' and choose the Mac OS X application you believe will open the document.
If this does not work. Tell us which Classic application you created the document with and which applications you have which you believe will open your 'classic' document.

How to start to create an emblem or logo

I am new to this and only mess around with Photoshop CS as an amatuer. I would like to know the best way to begin to create an emblem or logo that will be used for a team design for uniforms, shirts and jackets. I need to have Mountain State across the top...maybe in an arc format and cool font, a Hoya or bulldog (looking massive and chest out) with mountains in the background, then the team name "Hoyas" at the bottom in the same or similar cool font. I would greatly appreciate any assistance from the group in how to do it or direction to an online web page tutorial. I know it will be several layers and just curious how to begin and set it up and pull in the different pictures and graphics to bring it all together. Thanks!!

For a true "logo," one is usually best using a program like Illustrator and doing all work in Vector Art, for scalability.
In your case, it sounds like you want something that will reproduced in one size, say as a screen-printed area on clothing. If it will NOT need to be scaled for many sizes, without loosing resolution, then PS will work fine.
First - what will be the method of reproduction, i.e. screen-printing onto cloth? This will likely give you the ppi/dpi settings that you will need to export to.
Second - what will be the size of the artwrok? This will tell you size of the New Image that you will create. For the necessary resolution, see "First."
Now, for the "Mountain States" on an arc, look at "Text on a Path" in Help, or the manual. That will take care of that.
For the Mountains, will you draw these, or use continuous-tone photographs? Keep this on one Layer.
Your Bulldog will be on a Layer above the Mountains Layer. Do you plan on using a photograph, or clipart, or paint this yourself? The Layer will be the same, but the Layer "type" might differ, depending.
The Layers can be sized, and moved, as is appropriate. Your Type on a Path will be the top Layer, you Bulldog below, and your Mountains below. If you need any sort of background color, or border, those will be below.

BTW - what does a Hoya look like? Personally, I'd go with the Bulldog, but I own Bulldogs, so I am not an unbiased person...

SRM 7.0 Unable to create PO - Classic Scenario.

Hello,
We are able to successfully create the below scenario.
PR in ECC --> Get PR in SRM --> Start Collective processing -> Transfer to Central System (SC is created for the PR @ this time) --> Create RFx --> Rfx Response --> Create PO. (PO is created in ERP, Classic Scenario)
We are able to get the PR & we are able to create SC successfully and the PR/ SC is available in Sourcing cocpit.
Able to create RFx --> Rfx Response.
Now once the RFx Response is Accepted --> We go for creating PO.
Classic Scenario.
The error is due to pricing - debugged and checked as mentioned in my earlier message.
IPC pricing is switched off and the BADI for simple pricing is activated.
Error : " Message A BBP_PD 396 cannot be processed in plugin mode HTTP "
But this is due to pricing is what i guess.
Error is raised in FM "BBP_PDPRC_UPDATE".
Kindly Suggest.

Please check and run the following reports (se38): BBP_CND_CUSTOMIZING_CHECK & RSVMCRT_HEALTH_CHECK and post back the results.
Note for BBP_CND_CUSTOMIZING_CHECK also run 'Simulation of Pricing with Manual Price' (scroll down after executing the report initially).
Also the badi information you activated tells us a lot. Although i take it that you executed and read everything that's included in the transaction information. The following sentence gives a prety doubtfull feeling for the CPPR scenario to work for your configuration:
SAP recommends using this BAdI only in exceptional cases and only after checking thoroughly if it is compatible with the Business Scenarios used.
Note: From what i've just read IPC has to be disabled, certain badi's etc. need to be disabled. And VMC (sap basis) has to be configured. Please view: [http://help.sap.com/SCENARIOS_BUS2008/helpdata/EN/9C/F90B7CB34A4889935D1733C6756D5B/content.htm]
Could you also please check and provide whether 'normal' SRM classic scenarios like: SC -> PO do run within your system. Also the error and information you have provided is very little.

How do I create or export a logo in Illustrator CS5 with an alpha channel to use in Final Cut Pro 6?

To anyone who can help:
I have created a logo using Illustrator CS5 and need to import it into a video sequence in Final Cut Pro 6. The logo has a transparent background. It seems FCP 6 will import both native .ai files as well as .tiff files, but when I open them in FCP 6, the alpha channel (transparent background) is no longer there; there is just the logo over a white background. Is there a setting or step I am missing?

I have to insert AI images into Final Cut Pro and Motion quite frequently.
The most effective way I've found to get an AI image into Final Cut is to:
1. Select/copy all the objects in the AI doc.
2. Create a new file with a transparent background in Photoshop and paste.
3. Merge the layers and make sure the mode is RGB.
4. Save out as a .PNG or .PSD.
5. Drag the result into Final Cut (or Motion).
6. Resize and position the result to taste.
Attempting to export directly from AI to .PSD or .PNG is a wasted effort and the results may not even be recognized by Final Cut.
Yes, it requires Photoshop and it is a few extra steps...but it works like a charm.
Additionally, when creating a new file in Photoshop, you may want to initially set its size to match the aspect ratio of your video. For example, if you're making an HD video, you might set the size to 1280x720 and position the AI elements where they are supposed to be in frame. You can set the AI elements in accurately by cutting and pasting a frame from your video into Photoshop and positioning the AI elements in place on another layer above the video layer. Delete the video layer before saving out as a .PNG or .PSD and it will appear in Final Cut exactly where it should be.

I need to create a Classic BADI definition in an ECC 6.0 Environment

Let me start by saying that I work in a corporation with many SAP landscapes at various versions (4.7, ecc 6 etc.) We have an application developed in an ECC 6.0 environment which needs to be pushed down to some 4.7 environments. This development needs some BADIs defined to give the receiving systems some flexibility. Here comes the problem, 4.7 cannot handle New BADIs and ECC 6.0 will not allow me to create Classic BADI definitions. I've searched through notes to see if there is some kind of quick fix and I have not found any. So I appeal to you the enhancement forum. Is there a note? How else can I create something and give the non original systems the flexibility needed?

Yes Michelle, you are misunderstanding. I am the Definer of the BADI, not the implementer. I am setting up the hook in the program. One can still implement a classic BADI in SE19 in ECC 6.0. What we are prevented from doing is defining a new Classic BADI. We are forced to define new BADIs.
Try this: Go to SE18, select BADI name and put in Ztestjunk. Now hit the create button:

Local PO created in classic scenario

Hello,
We're on SRM 5.0 and we try to create a PO from an accepted bid.
For some reason however if the subtype of the external req. SC, from which the Bid Invitation was created, is DP (direct procurement) a Local PO is created insteed of a backend PO even though we use the classic scenario.
Did anyone else encounter this problem ?

Pls check the foll setting in SPRO:
SRM server>Cross application settings>Define objects in the backend system.
Also,when creating PO from BID,you can define the system where you want to create the follow on doc to be created i.e. either in SRM or R/3 through the BADi "BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS".

Hi. Muthu is probably right, are you entering a fixed vendor from a contract or are you keying in a desired vendor?
If you key the vendor in you will get a req, as it is not a fixed source of supply.
To make it fixed you have to use the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to change the partner type from preffered to fixed.

Creating effects with a logo..

I don't know if this can be done in Motion or not and some may say I would need AE or Shake but I thought I'd ask. Is there a way I could take my company logo and alter the look to make it into a globe and have it rotate? The last part I definitely know I can do in Motion but just not sure if I can somehow make it into a globe. My logo looks like a strip of film.

Short answer, yes.
Longer answer, the results are probably not going to be what you want or expect.
You can distort your image with a sphere filter but that only creates a 2D image that looks like a sphere. You can eve layer sphere filters and get an illusion of depth. If you can break out your logotypes individual characters, you can place them on a path that actually curves in 3D space. There are many ways to convey this illusion with Motion's abilities but modeling a true 3D primitive requires a true 3D application or a plugin for Motion.

Problems with creating a 3D picture logo/tile for a website

Hi all
About 6 years ago, I found a great free website where you could create fast and easy 3D picture logos/tiles, with any image or photograph. Stupidly I did not note down their web address, and now I cannot find it by typing everything above, into good old Google. Luckily I subscribed to Adobes Photoshop CC 14.2 version, and was wondering if you guys would know of any tutorials, I could follow to create 3D logos/tiles for a website. Or your own little tutorials please? As it would be very much appreciated.
The only way I can describe my 6 year old created logo/tile, is that it is 149 pixels wide x 217 pixels long, and looks like a bathroom tile. As it seems to have an invisible, internal frame which makes you think that the image, is jumping out at you. Depending on whether Adobe allows you to add images, onto their threads with an external picture host, I will try to add it to this thread.

Business Rules error when creating new classic planning application in 9.3.

Im trying to create a new planning application using classis planning application wizard in Workspace. everything seems alright untill i gets an error saying "Business rules cant connect to Planning"
other than this Business rules working fine and i can open business rules in other applications and i can access business rules repository in EAS.
Any thoughts on this ?

Further invesitgation bears this problem out.
Oracle support recommend wrapping the SimpleType in a ComplexType. This does work, but now I have an extra wrapper element to deal with. I either have to use the wrapped type in my other complex, composed Types and/or add an external wrapping element when trying to create Business Services in BPM to call the BusinessRules I've created.
This is a bit messy.
To be clear, this does not seem to be an issue with Business Rules; the BR editor and generation of Facts (including simple restricted types -> JAXB 2.0/Java Enumerations) seems to work correctly. There seems to be an issue exposing DFs as Services. The code which generated the WSDL and its supporting types seems to choke on restricted SimpleTypes.
As a side note, it seems that HumanTasks have a similar limitation

I am trying to recreate the Classic Concentration game. Does any one have any ideas how I would do this in Captivate?

That YouTube video was very helpful in showing how to use the new features in Captivate 6 which I am using to build my own concentration game.
The screen shots in the video of the advanced action scripts helped me understand where you are putting the variables and which action correlates with each variable.

Actual we have data from IDOCS and it is maintained in Ztables
and need to dispaly in report ( Service centre - Warranty data ).
The report is completed. So again going to Script means waste of time for us.
So Plz help me if possible in Classical report.

I created my first 'test' logo and it worked just fine...thank you. I am trying to create an improved version, however, when I attempt to select the text to copy & paste it into the work path, I get continually get a pop-up message that "the point you clicked is not inside the vector mask of a visible layer." I have watched the video OVER and OVER thinking that I missed a step, but....not. I'm tearing my hair out! HELP!!
