Creating a cookbook using DataMerge

I created an Excel spreadsheet housing everything necessary for the cookbook. Titles are in the first row for each column. The Ingredients and Directions areas are multiple lines of information, so I kept the text in one cell and just put in line breaks in the info to constitute as the next step in the directions, or next ingredient in the list. When perform the Merge in InDesign, not all the info comes through as it should. None of the steps in the directions come through and the Ingredients only come through with the first word. Does DataMerge not support linebreaks? If so, is there a work around?

A data merge record corresponds to a row in the spreadsheet, with the first record containing the field names. In addition to line breaks wreaking havoc, if your data file is set up incorrectly you won't get what you expect.

Can't create a file using fm 'File_Get_Name'

hi gurus,
Can you please help me with this issue. There's a program that have to create a file using the said fm. It was working before when it was set in OS NT. But when the settings and codes have been changed to UNIX, the program was able to generate the program. But the file doesn't exist. It seems it doesn't create a file in that server.
What else do I need to check?

Hi Maui,
Did you check SM69, where the code that ties to this FM creates a file after it execute your FM...
SM69 are os commands that does UNIX execution or other OS commands...
or maybe you have missed another FM like FM 'SXPG_OS_COMMAND' or of some sort.

Unable to capture error message while creating an SO using bapi

Hi,
Can anybody suggest how to capture the error message while creating a SO using BAPI.
I have developed a customeized BAPI and using the BDC format to create the SO.
Note: i am using a call transaction method for the BDC.
I am sending the message into message1.
but i am unable to send the same into an internal table

If my understanding is correct, you are performing BDC process within the customized BAPI...
And you want to collect the messages from BDC to an internal table and pass to the output.
Proceed as below:
1. While calling BDC, use CALL TRANSACTION .... with addition: MESSAGES INTO itab. The structure of itab should be like BDCMSGCOLL.
2. Now the messages will be collected in ita.
3. Prepare the messages using FM: FORMAT_MESSAGE
4. Collect to the returning table.
Hope this helps...
Though i could not understand the reason of creating a BDC within BAPI, you can opt for loading orders via BAPI's like: BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1 or BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2.

In this article, I will demonstrate so how to create calculated measure using AMO in SSAS?
Prerequisites
Before create calculated measure using AMO, you need to ensure that the following components were installed in your server.
The multidimensional database AdventureWorks Multidimensional Model 2012
A SQL Server with SSIS and SSAS installed
The AMO libraries installed:
X86 Package (SQL_AS_AMO.msi)
X64 Package (SQL_AS_AMO.msi)
Solution
Here is the detail steps to create calculated measure using AMO in SSAS.
Open SSDT and create a new SSIS project.
Drag Script Task to the design surface.
Click SSIS-> Variables to open the Variables window and add two variables that used to connect to the server and database.
Create a connection to connect to SSAS server.
Rename the connection name to ssas.
Double click the Script Task to open Script Task Editor.
Add Connection and Database variables to ReadWriteVariables textbox and then click Edit Script button.
Add AMO reference in the Solution Explore window.
Copy the script below and paste it into the script.

Creating a triangle using polygon class problem, URGENT??

Hi i am creating a triangle using polygon class which will eventually be used in a game where by a user clicks on the screen and triangles appear.

Can some one tell me where this needs to go and what i should generally
look like pleaseI don't think it is a good idea to try and add the constructor that the compiler
can't find. Instead you should use the constructor that already exists
in the Polygon class: ie the one that looks like Polygon(int[], int[], int).
But this requires you to pass two int arrays and not two ints as you
are doing at the moment. As you have seen, evt.getPoint() only supplies
you with a single pair of ints: the x- and y-coordinates of where the mouse
button was pressed.
And this is the root of the problem. To draw a triangle you need three
points. From these three points you can build up two arrays: one containing
the x-coordinates and one containing the y-coordinates. It is these two
arrays that will be used as the first two arguments to the Polygon constructor.
So your task is to figure out how you can respond to mouse presses
correctly, and only try and add a new triangle when you have all three of its
vertices.
[Edit] This assumes that you expect the user to specify all three vertices of the
triangle. If this isn't the case, say what you do expect.

How to create a report using XML data source from Crystal Report Designer

Iu2019m having Crystal Report Designer XI R2 SP4. Iu2019m trying to create a report using XML data source stored on disk. This is a customer order report and the xml is structured in such a way that it has an order details header part (master) and then it has several order lines (detail). One order line can have several order line characteristics (detail-detail). So what I need to know is now I can design this layout from the designer. If this was done using views I can do it with sub-reports but using xml data this seems to be different. Can you help me to design this layout? I have included the xml and xsd as well.

1. New Report
2. From Create New Connection-> XML
3. Provide the u201CLocal XML Fileu201D and have u201CSpecify Schema Fileu201D checked -> Next
4. Provide the u201CLocal Schema Fileu201D -> Finish

Then I come to the Linking section. Here I canu2019t link anything. There is a common field called u201CInternal_IDu201D but I canu2019t link using it. So I get a message when I click Next. From here I add all the fields.
For this point onwards only I need help. How do I group, add fields and design the layout so I can get an report output as follows.

How can I achieve this kind of a layout using the give xml and xsd? Should I use grouping if so how should I do the grouping?

I created a newsletter using pages on my IPAD3. I can see see it...the icon is till there but when I tap it to open it, I get kicked out of pages.   Tried rebooting and I can open other documents, but not this one. Any ideas?

I created a newsletter using pages on my IPAD 3. All of a sudden I can no longer open that document.   When I click on it, it throws me out of pages all together. I can open other pages documents, but not that one. It is very frustrating to be able to SEE the file, but not open it.
I rebooted and I do have icloud back-up on but am not sure how to restore an older version. I also made sure there are no updates for pages.   Until the IPAD I used a home PC which I still have but am trying to wean myself off of. I wish now I had used MS Publisher on my PC for the newsletter even though I hate it.
Please don't tell me I have lost my Newsletter and 20 hours worth of work.

Try resetting your iPad. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for 7 or 8 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
I'm assuming your default is to save Pages documents to iCloud, and that you had a good WiFi connection when you closed Pages the last time you tried to save the document.

Creating a GIF using CS3

I am trying to create a GIF using CS3. I have read the discussions on Adobe but I get to a stage in the instructions and it is not working for me. I have 6 jpeg photos, and i bring them all into one. All photos are named different. After reading the forums, the next step is FILE>SAVEAS. Next, you select COMPUSERVE.gif. Once I select that, I have no idea where to go. It would be much appreciated if someone could help me out. Thanks

Creating new file using report generation express vi

Hello,
In my application, I need to write certain data in excel sheet. For that I created an excel template and I used the express vi in report generation toolkit to save the appropriate data in appropritate columns. I need a new file created everyday by that day's name and write the data to it rest of the day. I am having problems creating new file using this express vi. I tried using the low level vi's but not been able to it properly.

Create statspack report using sql*developer

While connecting with PERFSTAT user I can not create statspack report using SQL*Developer:
@?/rdbms/admin/awrrpt
Error starting at line 1 in command:
@?/rdbms/admin/awrrpt
Error report:
Unable to open file: "?/rdbms/admin/awrrpt.sql"
Actually, my problem or question is that how can PERFSTAT user can generate statspack reports from a Client side. What is the other way a non-dba can see the snapshots histroy and generate report (by using perfstat user ) while joing tables or using views?

For statspack i don't know a solutuion. I think the best idea is, create a job to make the statspack report on the server side and access it via external tables or mail them forward to you.

If your Mac is a new one, like mine, then it comes with a version of iLife that doesn't have iDVD and if so, there isn't an easy way to burn a DVD from iPhoto or iMovie that will play on a normal DVD player.
