Creating a Custom Transition (help)

Hi guys-
I found a post from earlier today titled 'custom transition' which is close to my question, but not exact. I would like to use a logo I have to do various transitions between clips in the format of the logo either grows or shinks with animation. In the past, I've put the video on V1 and the logo on V2 and overlapped the video, though I wanted to know if I could create a transition that I could use such as any Apple transitions that I can just stick between the clips that I could store in the browser. Any ideas? Thanks!

you'll need to delve into FCP's "fxscript"
a good place to start is to right-click on one of the existing video transitions in the Effects bin and get a feel for how these things look ... if you think its something worth pursing then download the user guide from Apple:

Create new, custom transitions?

Hi all! I'm working on possibly replacing FCP X in my workflow. One of the great things about FCPX and Motion was that I could create my own transitions using Motion and "placeholder" footage, then easily load them as new transition effects in an FCP X project. I have a series of light leak transitions that were basically a dissolve between A and B, with the light leak/bokeh footage overlaid with Add blend mode. While I know I can just place the footage over the edit points on the timeline, it would be much easier and cleaner to simply apply these as transitions instead.
Is it possible to create my own custom transitions with Premiere or After Effects, that can be applied as transition effects directly to clips on the timeline?

How to create a custom transition for further use?

Hi,
I created a transition which looks like CoverFlow (like in iTunes): clip moving from full screen to the left hand side in a distorted position with a reflection underneath, then fading out while on the right hand side the new clip fades in and moves then to full screen. Looks rather nice...
Instead of typing all the keyframed coordinates again and again, I would like to make it into an transition effect which I use just like all the other transitions.
Is there a way to do this in FCP 5.1.4?

One way to do this would be to razorblade apart the actual keyframed portions of the outgoing clip, then past attributes> motion and filters

Created Custom Transition but cannot hear the audio in it, need Help!

Hi guys, I created a custom Transition for the dvd.
I set the transition but the audio is not in there with it.
How can set my custom transition with the audio?

By custom transition, do you mean a video you created yourself in FCP?
Or do you mean a transition that DVD SP created? If it is this, then no, there is no audio on transitions. The solution is to create your own video that you then put in a track that then links to your main track.

Custom F4 help in a BSP application working in Mozilla but not in IE

It is working in Mozilla but not in IE. I tried enabling javascript as well but still it is not working.

Standard Search Help in Custom Search Help

I've created a Custom Search Help for Product Hierarchy. But when search help window appears, I want to put a standard search help of Product Hierarchy on Product Hierarchy field which is located on Resctricted section. Is that possible? Let me know if there's a way...

Default multiple values in custom search help

Hi All,
I created a custom search help for the vendor. The fields in the search help are LIFNR (Vendor) and KTOKK (Account Group).
I would like to be able to set three default values for the account group. That is, when the user clicks on the dropdown to display the search help, I would like to have three values populated in the KTOKK field. Is this possible?

I am not sure abt default values, but if you are using this search help in any report than you can set hot keys in your search help and using hot keys, you can set some default filter values in you report's parameter.
you can set variant in your report where parameter is having values like :: =,<hotkey>,<sel1>,<sel2>
here <hotkey> : wht you have assingned in search help.
<sel1> : one of those default values you want to display.
<sel2> : one of those default values you want to display for the second field.

Custom Search Help for the field Equipment number

I have enchanced sales order transaction and included a field Equipment number(EQUI-EQUNR).
Here after pressing F4(Search help) standard search help is display.
I have a requirement wherein, the standard search help should not appear and a customised search where a specific Equipment category type values should appear in the search help.
Ex. Field equipment category (EQTYP).EQUNR(Equipment Number).
Please let me know how to work for the customised search help.

Custom search help

Hi expert,
I want to create a search help that read data from a table and show this data, but only a selection of this data and not all.
So, I created a custom search help, with an exit search help ( refernce at F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE ).
Inside this help I put the selection, with code like reference F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE .
My problem is: the match code show all data of table and not the selection !!!

In the selection step after receiving the required entries from table you have to pass the details to the following FM 'F4UT_RESULTS_MAP'
where SOURCE_STRUCTURE is the selection method name(Table structure name)
          APPLY_RESTRICTIONS = 'X'
         SOURCE_TAB is the table with u to pass the selected new entries
         other parameters are general..
     Finally set the CALLCONTROL-STEP = 'DISP'.

Problem is Module pool custom F4 help

In module pool selection screen . I have defined vendor field as a select option and attached a custom search help to it . Now the problem is that when i press F4 on that field and select a value from the help , that value is not populated in the input field .
The other problem is that if we keep this vendor select option as blank , then in the select statement using " IN S_lifnr " gives a dump as it treats the field as blank .( does not function as standard) . does this have anything to do with the custom search help .
any help would be appreciated .

Do you mean that u created a custom cearch help using se11 and attached that using F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST.
I dont think that is possible.
F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST is used to programmatically create an f4 help, fetching data from an internal table.

Custom F4 help multiple selection

I have created a custom F4 help for select-options. it is working fine for low and high value selections. the moment i click onthe arrow multiple selections and enter multiple values and click on copy button it is giving short dump. how to handle this scenario.i tried to google but couldnt get for multiple selections. any thoughts on this?

Motion 5 not allowing me to save custom transitions. Please help.

How can I create custom transitions for Final Cut Pro X. Motion 5 is not allowing me to save custom templates. I have followed the instructions in Motion 5 user manual...but, it's not working. Please help. When I create a category, it reverts to a blank line. I'm unable to publish the transition.

Check Settings>General>Restrictions> Location Services>make sure is set to "Allow Changes"

Creating Faux Loader for State to State Transition - HELP.

Good day everyone.
I need help making a loader that will be in between states.
I have a file that has multiple embedded Custom Components in order to circumvent the 20 page limit. Since one of the components has a large number of states within it it takes some time in order to get into the state. Let me illustrate. The project is a world map with specific regions (US, Latin America, etc). which are then separated into specific countries/states/provinces. An example flow is diagramed here:

Now what is happening is when I render out the SWF since there are so many STATES (15) in the US component it takes approximately 12 seconds to load that portion of the SWF over the WEB.
Is there anyway I can get a loader to appear while it is loading the larger Custom Components?
I do not have access to Flash Builder or a developer with FB so that option is out.
I tried creating a faux/fake loader in the US button that was similar to the default loader that FC creates but I've seem to run into a few problems.
First, is there anyway to a sequence play before a transition begins/ends? I attempted to do this by creating ANOTHER custom component that would have an action sequence but for some reason that did not work. It was expecting a MOUSE EVENT which was not possible since it the mouse event already happened.
I'm at a loss here for how I can complete this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and if I need clarify further, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Have you explored the integrated lucene search functionality? Basically you can allow lucene to index the asset types you want to search in and create a search form that queries the index. The internal search in the contributor UI is using the same method.
Check the developers guide page: 857 Public Site Search, this could be used for your purpose as well... On the authoring environment all asset types are already enabled to be indexed.

I have checked for the FM you have mentioned. That does not exist in my system. Anyway I could successfully create a customer using the FM BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATE.
This is the FM which lets you create a customer without the need of any reference. If it is configured in XDN1 that your account group has external number, please provide a number to your customer in the initial screen after you execute your BAPI.

MMC snap-in is there a way to deploy it with group policy to the managers or would I have to log in to each of the managers workstations and set it up manually?

I don’t think that you can achieve the target directly by using group policy. Just another thought, you may create a script to deploy the MMC snap-in. Then add the script
as Logon script in Group policy and
assign user logon scripts to those specific users. Just a thought, thanks for your understanding.
