I know how to set iDVD to create a DVD to play immediately when inserted in a DVD player. However, when the show is over, it goes to a menu. Which I do not want it to do. How can I create a DVD without any menu?

WIth iDVD, the best you can do is autoplay. You can loop the autoplay movie, which would prevent it from going to the menu (unless the menu button is pushed).

Thanks for that babowa. If I add my Yahoo account it just goes straight to MacMail and says I already have an account. There seems to be no basic problem with mails going between Macmail and Yahoo. It is just the folders that have disappeared, while MacMail was out of action. I don't think those particular folders were ever on the Yahoo mail that I access through BT, they were just on the MacMail under "Yahoo" as opposed to "On my Mac". I am worried in case I lose what I already have if I press "Restore" from my back up. As you can see, I am not exactly good at this!

Is there any way to burn my imovie to dvd without the menus/themes?

please help!
i need to find a way to get my imovie project onto a dvd soon because it must be mailed to a film competition tomorrow! is there anyway i can use idvd to get it onto the dvd but not have the menus/themes? (if not, what should i do!??!? it needs to be burned tonight!!!)

I am using iDVD and a demo reel I just made in imovie
I have a few problems-I have set up a nice theme with picture and a link to a demo reel of my work.
when I watch it in the preview it all looks good. When I burn a DVD the menu/themes is not there and it starts automatically, but not only that.. it's the wrong movie even though I have the right movie in idvd?
I have been able to burn the CORRECT movie but not in iDVD. However it only plays in mac computers not PC or any DVD player.
Im a new mac user so bare with me. My movie seems to be a M4v-should it not be an Mpeg and how do I make that happen?

Analyze app performance and
Analyze memory usage (VB, C#, C++)
Is it possible that CPU or memory usage reach to the limitation as you need execute the same code with nearly 150,000 times. Also you mentioned, 5000 times is ok, personally I think the code is fine, but you may need to care more about performance behavior.
As I know if you are working with a Phone device, there is some limitation for memory usage, you cannot let your app use more memory set than that value, try to find the limitation from
AppMemoryUsageLimit | appMemoryUsageLimit property

Would a MacBook Air run PowerPoint files created in Windows without any problems?

I am considering buying a MacBoo9k Air. However, I need to be sure that it would be able to run, edit, save without problems files created in PowerPoint with a Windows-based PC. Do I need a special software for this?

Yes, Powerpoint Mac should be identical to Powerpoint PC. Powerpoint on the Mac will open Powerpoint files created with the Windows version.
In practice, that isn't entirely the case, as there are different versions of both Powerpoint Mac and PC.
You need to be running the latest versions of both on the Mac and PC.
Even then you may have some minor formatting issues. Whether you consider that a problem, is up to you.
I only way to ensure that the Powerpoint files edited on the Mac display correctly on your Windows PC is to run the Windows version of Powerpoint either in Bootcamp or Parallels/Fusion on your MacBookAir.
It's not as seemless as it should be, however, Bootcamp or virtualization ensures you can run the Windows version of Powerpoint if you need to.

If the first view is the first callable object in your GP process then a task will get created whenever the user opens the view (i.e. a new process instance gets started). To overcome this issue I can think of three options :
1) you can have a cancel button in the view. On Action of the cancel button you can set a resultstate based on which you can call a Terminate process callable object and terminate the process instance.
2) on wdDoExit() method you can check if any button has been clicked (set a flag on valid user actions). If no user action has been done set the resultstate and cancel the process as above.
3) Don't add the first view as a callable object in GP. Instead make it a stand-alone Web Dynpro project and on button click(Submit) of that view start the GP process by passing the relevant parameters.

Ejects DVD without any reason

The drive accepts discs but they do not mount or are automatically ejected
Check the disc's surface for scratches and dirt, since these things can prevent the disc from appearing on the desktop.
Reset the Power Manager (PMU) or System Management Controller (SMC).
Ensure your drive can read the specific type of disc being used. For example a "combo drive" can read a DVD-R and burn a CD-R however it cannot burn a DVD-R. The utility System Profiler may provide additional information regarding what media your computer supports.
If the discs continue to not be recognized, please contact Apple, contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider, or make an appointment with an Apple Retail Store for additional troubleshooting, evaluation, or service.

Hello Guy's. I can't register or fully activate my Apple ID because of Required Credit Card Information. My Apple ID was already verified in Apple Site but not i iTunes. It Requires me to Review my account information via iTunes.I live in the Philippines. I followed every tips and instructions in how to register without Credit Card info. I tried in the PC and iTouch itself. But only appears in Visa , Master Card and another type of Card. The "None" Option is not available. I tried my OFW BDO Debit card to fill the blank info's but it was rejected and i don't know why. What should i do to get the "None" Option or register without Credit Card. Please Help.

Unable to burn movie to DVD without theme

I created a movie on iMovie and would like to create a DVD without any of the themes offered in iDVD. Don't know or unable to do so.
I finally settled on a theme with one drop zone. However, the trimmed clips I created in iMovie when dropped to the drop zone are untrimmed. I deleted the trimmed sections from the iMovie trash. Still it insists on transfering the whole silly clip. Don't have Quicktime Pro so can't do editing there. Any suggestions before I go crazy over this 4 minute movie!

If you have a copy of Toast 7 you can do it. Create your DVD in iDVD (or in Toast if you like) and save it as a disc image. Open the disc image then select the option in Toast to convert a DVD from a VIDEO_TS folder. You'll then find there's an option to burn the main feature only. Select that and burn a DVD. Worked fine the last time I tried it - when you put the DVD in your DVD player it'll automatically play the movie and stop when it gets to the end which, I think, is what you want to do. The only two downers are that (a) it's a two stage process and (b) you need to buy a copy of Toast. It's really silly that iDVD won't let you do this but then quite a lot about iDVD is silly anyway.

What's the fastest/simplest way to create a high quality DVD without any menus that just plays from Motion 4?

I just tried using Share, and I can see one of my processors working at 100%, but I've got no indication of any progress - or even that it is working, except I can see a few files in the directory I told it to create them in.
I told it to create a DVD (there was a checkbox), so I put a DVD in the drive.

For the quickest method at the highest quality I would export a self-contained movie from Motion and take the self-contained QT movie and bring it into Compressor. Because SD DVD is compressed to MPEG-2 video format you will want to have control over how the file is compressed at the target bitrate of compression in order to achieve the best quality. You would want to duplicate and edit one of the DVD settings in Compressor then set the video bitrate to about 7.5/mbps because anything over that bitrate may cause playback errors on certain DVD players. I may receive compensation from my link. Make sure the audio is set to 192/kbps AC3 in Compressor.
You can setup distributed processing with Qmaster to enable multiple processor cores in a cluster and take advantage of multi core processing in Compressor. Additional info if necessary (more on the web by searching).
Then after Compressor is finished compressing the self-contained QT file take the compressed MPEG-2 file and .AC3 audio file and import them into a DVD Studio Pro project and follow these instructions to make the movie autoplay without any menus. I'll throw up some screenshots on the linked page soon to provide a visual reference of how to use DVD Studio Pro to create a DVD that autoplays without a menu.

When I share the movie to a file it uses a .mp4 format which is then not able to be be burned to a disc. In the past, the extension was .mov and I was able to create a DVD without any problems.

To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see.

• Open the VIDEO_TS folder with myDVDedit. You'll find all items enclosed in your DVD in the left hand panel.
• Select the menu (usually named VTS Menu) and delete it
• Choose from the menu File > Test with DVD Player to see if your DVD behaves as planned.If it works save and close myDVDedit.

Burning DVD Without Themes and Chapters

I have an iMovie from my own video that I have edited just the way I want it. It has a title and will be about an hour long when burned. I just want to burn it to a DVD for TV viewing WITHOUT any theme or chapter stuff. iDVD won't seem to let me do that and has already screwed me up twice in the process. How can I bypass that theme and chapter stuff and just burn my DVD? I would like the instant play feature on the disc when it is done.
I have iMovie 6 and a MacBook.
