Creating a facebook app in Muse

I am trying to enter dimensions to create a facebook app in Muse. Everytime I enter a dimensoin however, it automatically changes the numbers I had entered- most times to 200. Anyone know why? Or know the exact dimensions for a facebook app?

You can try to format the text from BC end, Admin > Site Manager > Module Templates > Blogs
Check the available options in layout editor and if you can define same format as you have used in Muse page then it should resolve the issue.
You can also try to add formatting using html mode in layout.

Help with new facebook app idea

I created a drawing facebook app that allows users to draw on Graffiti Walls. If anyone wants to see the app LIVE right now, it's at, [link removed by moderator]. I made this app using Flash, Actionscript 3 and MySQL for the database. PHP for the serverside stuff.
Currently each user is allowed his or her own two favorite colors, a message of the day text and also a signature text. I would like to add the ability for a user to store a URL to a mp3 file.(I am not stupid and i'm not allowing users to host mp3 files). Just a link to an mp3 file. Then when you visit that persons wall, the mp3 file loads up.
I guess what I'm looking for is a good mp3 file host to use? One that offers an upload API would be ideal. Anyone help me with this?

The storage used in that display is only an estimate. What do you see, when you select your Macintosh HD in the Finder and look at the sizes in the "Finder > File > Get Info" panel for your harddisk? The free storage is shown in the General brick of the Info panel:
The migration may be needing more free storage, if your iPhoto Library has a corruuption and needs repairing.
Try the iPhoto Library First Aid Tools before you try to migrate the library again to Photos:
Make a backup copy on an external drive.
Then try the iPhoto Library First Aid Tools on your iPhoto Library to repair the permissions and to repair the database.
To repair hold down the alt/option and the command key simultaneously while double clicking the iPhoto application in the Applications folder to launch the iPhotos Library First aid tools. Hold down both keys firmly and long enough, until the First Aid panel will appear.
The select "Repair database". Repeat with "repair Permissions".
If it still does not suffice, repeat with "Rebuild Library".
Then try to migrate the library again to Photos by dragging it onto the Photos icon in the Dock.

My iPad is telling me that Facebook app is loaded but no app is there. How do I get it back?

I changed over from an iPad 2 to iPad Air through the use of iCloud. My Facebook app is listed on my settings page as if the app exists but their is no icon to tap to enter the app. It will not allow me to delete it off the settings page but I can also not reload it from the App store because it believes I alread have the app. How do i get it back?

Either you have not rebooted your device since downloading the app, as many apps now need a reboot before showing up on home screen, or you have too many apps that the Facebook app has been pushed off the screen because you are only allowed 10 pages of apps and games. If this is the case, move a bunch of apps into folders and restart your device and the apps that were pushed off the screen will appear in the newly created space.
But for now, you can use the search tool to open the app, if running iOS 7 simply swipe downwards and type Facebook in the search bar, if you are running iOS 6 or lower, you must keep swiping right until you are at the front page, and you will see a search bar.

Can't delete Facebook app and reinstall

Many apps don't support that method of uninstalling. See the quote below from OS X Yosemite: Install, update, and uninstall app

Apps that don’t have an uninstaller: In the Finder sidebar, click Applications. Drag the app from the Applications folder to the Trash (located at the end of the Dock), then choose Finder > Empty Trash.

WARNING: When you empty the Trash, the app is permanently removed from your Mac. If you have any files that you created with the app, you may not be able to open them.

First, make sure all of your location settings are set correctly. If you are running the latest device software for your Blackberry Bold, go to Options>Device>Location Settings. Make sure you have GPS Data Source set to Device GPS, Location Services set to Location ON, under Location Data, Setting is Enabled, and under Location Aiding, Setting to Enabled. Be sure to save those settings. Then, try opening the FaceBook app on your device and in the top row click on Places. Click Check In. If you already have saved a location, for example your home address or work place address, click on that location. Otherwise, you can create a place by clicking on Add a Place. Once you select the desired location, click on Check In and your location will be shared with your FaceBook contacts. If this does not work for you, then you may have to delete the FaceBook app on your device through Blackberry App World and then reinstall the app. Hope this helps you.

Sending messages in facebook app

Does anyone have a problem with the facebook app when trying to send a message?
I have no problem if I'm replying to someone but creating a new message and selecting the recipient and then sending always results in an error.

Why no "none" option appears in my iPad 3 while about to download the "free" Facebook app?

Hi I bought today the latest iPad,I am a Greek user,I made an apple I'd,I try for hours to download the free Facebook application from the store but it asks me for a payment method...credit cards which I don't have,after reading in community for the "none" option at payment methods,for hours I try again and again but there is no "none" option....my account is the very first account after the intro set up of my new iPad,and I don't have other email to try for a new account.Besides I want to activate the free Facebook app in my one and only and current email.Please help,thanx in advance

Autofill password Facebook app??

So I created a new Facebook password on my laptop and I selected the option of Apple creating a password that would work across all of my devices. When I go to my iPhone 5 Facebook app, the password field is empty and the app is expecting me to type it in? How do I get it to autofill? It was supposed to be automatic across all of my devices but my phone is expecting me to type it in. Luckily, I screen shot the new password but how do I get the autofill to work?

How can I make an IOS and ANDROID app using MUSE?

I don't know anything about coding but I believe you can create something in Muse and use phone gap to turn it into a iOS or Android app - the information on this is extremely scarce - i have just seen little notes like of course you can and so forth - thats hardly helpful - has anyone managed to create something and got their app published on the Apple/Google plaster? If someone has used something better than phone gap as a router from muse to the eventual app i would be curious in that too.

Yes, you can create an app with Muse. Keep in mind it would only be an informational app and contain no phone features such as camera, GEO Location, Data, etc.
So once agin you would be restricted to an information only type app. Another problem with using Muse to do an app is that Muse uses fixed width design and therefore will not scale depending on device. So if you want to be on phones and tablets you would need to create two versions.
Using Phonegap Bulid you would you would extract your Muse site (phone version usually unless you change the size of your desktop version) as HTML files and then zip them up. Using Phonegap Build you would be able to create the required files for submission to the app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, Windows App Store). You will need to be on a Mac to be able to submit to the Apple App Store. It will work using Muse but a better solution is to use a build service such as one that I have used in the past called AppsZero - Build Apps With Zero Coding.
Google and Apple also require paid developer licenses. Apple is $99/year US and Google when I got mine was $25 one-time fee. Not sure if the Google one has changed but the Apple one is still $99/year.

Facebook app crashing

Yesterday, the Facebook app is crashing on my iPhone. Tap the FB icon and the screen pops up with a blank white page with the FB blue line along the top - no text anywhere, then closes (crashes) after 2 seconds. Nothing has changed on the iPhone recently - this FB app crash happened all of a sudden.
iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1
FB app version 89182
Steps already taken:
Deleted FB app, turned off/on phone, reinstalled app (no change).
Deleted FB app, turned off phone, logged into FB via computer, reset password, reinstalled FB app on iPhone (no change).
Any other suggestions? We're not ready to upgrade the iPhone to iOS 6.1, though that may fix the issue - not sure. Odd that it happened all-of-a-sudden.

The exact same problem is happening to my iPhone as well. Tried all steps, nothing worked. When browsing the files used/created by the Facebook application (in the backup folder) I found a file named "error" with the following contents:

Facebook app question

Hey guys,
Trying to get the Facebook app to display my pic on the home screen (login screen) of the app. When you sign in the first time, it used to create a "button" with your profile pic and name. You tap it to log in. Well, it works for everyone else, but for me, it's just a generic pic, and says "Facebook user." I've tried deleting & re-downloading the app, checking my FB settings, but can't get it to work. Anyone else have is problem? Any ideas?

This doesn't answer your question but I find the Facebook app to be pretty poor, much better using the actual site through Safari in my opinion. You don't get notifications through the app do you?

Facebook App Details Page cost

Is there a cost to creating only a facebook app details page?

I ran into this recently on my iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1 and the problem was still there after 6.1 update.
Inexplicably some app details / reviews would display fine, but the majority of the apps I clicked on in the app store had blank detail / review pages. Very odd.
In any case, I got it working by clicking the app to view it, clicking the share button, then copying the link, pasting the link into safari and opening the app store page from there. For some reason that allowed me to see the app details again.
After 3 or 4 times of doing this for blank app detail pages, the app store started displaying details normally again on its own for all the apps, without using the safari copy/paste method.
I'm *guessing* something was stuck in some cache somewhere causing a problem that eventually got cleared out.. but I don't really know. All I know is this worked for me! Good Luck!

Push Notification for Facebook App is Not Working Help?

i went to general settings and everything was set to "ON" but it ONLY gives me notifications sometimes..i had a glitch for my Facebook app and was having problems so I decided to uinstall and reinstall and after reinstalling, the push notification seems to ONLY work sometimes and not often anymore. What could be causing this? a malware/infection for iPhone or what could be causing this?

Try first to check your facebook account settings--> notification tab.
Try to remove any app like IM or MSN that use facebook messages from the facebook account setting page.
you can also download facebook messanger app. if you create a US account i.e. put a fake US address.

Facebook app not working on wifi?

I have the galaxy s5 so does my wife and daughter, and when we are at home we hook up to the wifi, and try to use that to save on data usage. for some reason it does not load photos, comments and videos for a long time. the laptop, tablets, and tv all work fine off of the wifi. we have the same issue in public wifi. any reason?

Yes the pages load fine on data. But even games I have that use internet
don't always work right. But if I turn off the wif i. it works fine. I am
beginning to wonder if I made a mistake leaving sprint.

How can you add a photo AND a text together with Facebook app on Iphone?
I can only first add the photo - post, than I need to create a new post for the text. Not cool.....
