Creating a Fax sheet that auto-populates

Hi:
I am trying to create a fax sheet that has a list of companies in a drop down menu. When a user selects a company, I want the phone field to auto-populate with the phone number. I am using Acrobat X. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi George:
Sorry to bug you again but my combo box and the code are working great but my only problem is after I choose the company name from the combo box, I have to click my cursor into the phone number field for the phone number to auto-populate. Is there a way to avoid that happening and the number will just appear when I click the company name?

In Anne Stenberg's Blog from 2 Nov 2011 3:00 PM "How to Create an InfoPath Form to Auto Populate Data in SharePoint 2010" she artfully steps through how to create an InfoPath Form to Auto Populate Data. It works but... Jason, another user,
wrote whenever the form is opened again either to view or edit, it displays the current users information instead of the value of the person who completed the form in the first place.
Anne's response was "Hi Jason - I had forgotten I had that problem, too. Change the Form Load rule's condition to
DisplayName is blank and that should work."
My problem is I can't find anything other than AccountName in "Select a Field or Group" [GetUserProfileByName (Secondary)] to use in the Condition statement that will correct the problem.
Any help will be very appreciated.

Hi Joe,
I recommend to add one more condition in Form Load to make the form not be populated with current user’s information (You can change Title to another column which should not be blank when users create a new item).

How to: Create a master form that auto-fills data into other pdf forms?

I hope someone can please help me. I have about 15 PDF forms that all require similar data entry (name, address etc). Can I create a master form that we fill in once per client, and then auto-fill in the matching data on the 15 forms?
I am not looking for an online solution as the information is highly sensitive.
I have already created a form in Acrobat X Pro with the 'master data', and created the (15) forms with identically named fields. How I link the forms now to the master, I cannot figure out (after much searching).
I have read similar questions on the same topic but have not found any answers. I hope this time someone can please help.

Thank you! I had just figured out how to export the data from the master as an FDF file and then import it to the other files. I'm afraid I don't understand scripting to automate the process across multiple files. To you mean with java script?
I've also thought about combining the forms, once we know which ones the particular client will need. I have to see how it works in practice for my colleagues who will be using them.

Delete the unwanted addresses from the Previous Recipients list under the Window menu.

You can either use Bridge and the Output workspace, or grab optional plug-ins for CS5 and run Ps on OSX in the 32 bit mode. (Or grab the excellent 3rd party script, Contact Sheet X, and run that in Ps. http://ps-scripts.sourceforge.net/ContactSheetX/csx.html).

[SOLVED] app that auto populates home folder

I once used an app from the repos (might have been aur) that auto populated your home directory with the standard sub directories (music, pictures, downloads, documents, etc..) and used the correct specialized icon for each of them. I know I could just make the folders myself but this app made the hole process automated. Does any know what the name of this app is? I cant find it anywhere! Help would be much appreciated!

Hi,
If your SharePoint environment supports InfoPath Forms, then you can customize the form and add rules to make the list items as read only when user A submits the form.
you can then write a form load event to check the logged in user using username() function. This logic can be implemented in variety of ways, like setting a flag when User A submits the form, or storing user A username in a form variable etc., else comparing
User A and User B values within form Load event.
Another way of doing this is using Views or grouping all of the User A fields within a section etc.,
The above would take care of Form logic, and for the workflow, you can use SharePoint designer to create a custom workflow, where it will run on onItemCreate and onItemChange events.
The logic for workflow would be if the form Submitted for the first time, the workflow will start and send an email to User B, and when User B submits the Data then onItemChange change event will start the workflow to send an email to approver to approve
the data.

Family budget add monthly sheet and auto populate master sheet with graphs

I would like to create a monthly budget template that i can link to a master document that will graph what we have paid and compare it to previous months. I may not have the correct vocabulary for this because i am pretty new to using equasions and linking documents.

A Numbers Document, a file, can't communicate with another Numbers Document, file, without using scripts. You may keep the Master and the Monthly detail Sheets in the same document to accomplish your task.
If your monthy sheet sizes are modest, you should have no capacity or speed issues.

I use the search function built into Safari, using Google as the default engine. When I clear History, all the sites I've searched for disappear from the dropdown list; however, it's not empty - there's still many sites listed, most of which I've never had any reason to visit; I think it's a best-guess offering based on my location.

Table in flash that auto populates..possible ?

In my scrollpane I need a table that has rows to suit the number of rows in an excel table from which it will draw its data via xml. If I draw a table it will be good as long as no one adds more rows to excel than I anticipated. This table will have three columns, text in the second column is hyperlinked as are the buttons of the third column.
How is this table that grows or even shrinks to suit changes in the excel file source done ?

If you need to have it look like a bordered table I would make a movieclip of a row and dynamically add as many as were needed for the data loaded.
If you don't need to fuss with borders , then you could just add a row of 3 textfields dynamically.

How do I auto populate a text box if a check box is ticked in Acrobat XI Pro?

Basically, i have been asked to create a catalogue of sorts for my organisation with a form at the end that will be completed by the end user. it will be a catalogue of books and toys that people can request to borrow from us. Its all specialist equipment that we loan out for disabled people. When they are scrolling through the catalogue i would like there to be a check box and if they would like to borrow that item they would tick that box and any other products that they would like to borrow. Is it possible to have a text box that auto populates with a list of the items they have selected. the form would be similar to the one below. it the box next to Products to borrow i would like it to add products as they tick the boxes in the preceeding pages. I would be happy to share an example document if needed. thanks in advance for any help.

The problem with a drop down is that it would not present all options when printed, and some of our users will be completing this form manually (printed). All options need to be displayed.
Here's an example:
SELECT PREFIX:
A12
B12
C12
They can check one of the above and then based on what they select, I want the next box (a text field) to pre-fill with their selection.
So if they select A12, the text box would automatically fill with A12.

How to create a PI Sheet with variable data

Hi, I am working in version 6.2 of SAP.
The requirement that I am trying to configure in PP PI is to create a PI Sheet that contains variable data in the instructions. I have been attempting to use Process Instruction type 2, Simple DATA_REQUEST_TYPE, and a basic Message Characteristic that is similar to PI_COMM.
The problem that I am having is in using PPPI_VARIABLE with PPPI_DEFAULT_VALUE. When I run a check on the Process Instruction I constantly get sequence errors; "Assign PPPI_VARIABLE before the corresponding mess. characteristic" or "Characteristic 0020 PPPI_VARIABLE cannot be used in this position".
Can someone please help! I have read through SAP Help so much I can't see straight any more.
