Creating a film from different sources

Hi Everybody
I am fairly new to this so please forgive any stupidity.
I have 3 versions of a movie
1.Top and bottom cropped
2.Sides cropped
3.More picture Top and Bottom
I want to merge these together to create the full screen movie, now I understand I will need to use masks and feather the edges, what im struggling with is lining all 3 sources up so they are all on the same frame, I have tried dragging them but cant get them to align perfectly, is there a quick easy way?
Also if anybody could either write or point me in the direction of a full tutorial covering this I would be gratefull

Yes It's possible to create a repository from different datasources, provided there should be different DSN for each...
If it's ORACLE, we can import objects from OCI directly.. by mentioning the TNS Name, without creating DSN

Any Tutorial / Sample to create Single PDF from multiple source files using PDF assembler in a watched folder process. I have a client application which will prepare number of source files and some meta data information (in .XML) which will be used in header/footer. Is it possible to put a run time generated DDX file in the watch folder and use it in Process. If possible how can I pass the file names in the DDX. Any sample Process will be very helpful.

If possible, make use of Assembler API in your client application instead of doing this using watched folder. Here are the Assembler samples : LiveCycle ES2.5 * Programming with LiveCycle ES2.5
Watched folder can accept zip files (sample : Configuring a watched folder to handle multiple input files and write results to a single folder | Adobe LiveCycle Blog ). You can also use execute script to create the DDX at runtime : LiveCycle ES2 * Application Development Using LiveCycle Workbench ES2

Please create the VI you are talking about and save some default data into all of the controls. Also on the front panel, place the session ID that should be generated by that data. Now, post your VI to a response so I can download it. I can then take this VI and help you create the functionality. (Please post what version of LabVIEW you are using.)
My guess it that you are going to need to use a good number of string concatenations as well as a few string indexes to get parts of strings out. As for the date, you can use a Property node with the Numeric Text.Text property to get the actual string displayed on the front panel for the date and parse out the parts that you want.

File -> Export, and note the options under File Name
Another way:
Here's one (of several) way(s) to do what you want:
Make an Album of the photos, then drag the pics into your preferred order.
Then Photos Menu: Batch Change -> Set Title to Text "John's Birthday", for instance, and tick the box to append a number to each Photo. Now your photos are titled 'John's Birthday 001, John's Birthday 002 ... etc'
Then File -> Export and in the Export dialogue set the Filename to "Use Title"
Sort on Filename in the FInder and you end up with a folder full of images in the same order as the Album in iPhoto.

Keeping the album songs order, when importing songs from different sources

Hello
I imported lots of songs into my itunes library from various sources (itunes store, CD's, and audio files converted from my vinyl records) This way, songs from a specific artist, and sometimes from a specific album, could come from different sources.
Now, I hope to arrange all the songs from a specific album to appear in the appropriate order, but I just can't find a way of doing this! The songs just appear in the way iTunes sorts them, without any relation to the original order of the album. Even more, in the iPod itself, the order changes once again with no appearant reason! (Interestingly enough, when I import all the songs of a specific album from one source, the order is kept)
I tried changing the names on the files in itunes to include serial numbers (01, 02 and so on, at the names of the songs). but then again, for some reason, no order is kept.
How can I sort the songs in the album according to the proper order? I don't want to use a special playlist for each album.

iTunes sorts things in thew following way (based on having the correct ID3 tag info)
Album > Disc number > Track Number
if you sort things by Album
iTunes does NOT take anything from the file name unless no ID3 tag info is present in the file, then you will see the file name appear as the track name and all other fields blank. ID3 tags are the way most meta-data is handled noawadays.

Modelling the fields in the cube from different source system.......

Hi,
I need to create one query on the cube.
User want some of the fields in the query which are present in diffrent source system , rest of the fields are present in the cube.
These are master data fields ( 7 fields in total) from other source system.
Cube gets data from one ODS.
some steps I need to do are :
1) create new source system
2) Create corresponding objects in BW.
3) Model the things in ODS and cube
Can somebody let me know what is the best way/steps to model such scenario.

Replicate both the data sources to BW.
Create 2 infosources/transformations, map them to respective fields and infoobjects.
Now assign them to cube and load the data

How can I use notifications to send data from different sources to thesame chart?

Hi,
I am using the "Continuous Measurement and Logging" template project that ships with LV 2013.
It is extremenly helpful for figuring out messaging between the acquire, graph, and log loops. (Thanks NI!)
I've run into a snag however.
I would like to modify it so that my graphing loop receives data notifications from two acquisition sources via notifiers.
I'm having trouble getting data from both sources to display on the same chart.
I've isolated the issue in the attached vi.
Here's what happens:
1. I create data from 2 parallel loops and send the data to a third parallel loop with notifiers.
2. The third loop receives data from only one of the loops because one of the receiving notifiers just times out instead of receiving data.
Can someone suggest how I can fix this?

Here is my modification of your VI. I put notes on the block diagram to explain the changes. It uses a queue for the data transfer to avoid loss of data. It uses a notifier to stop the loops. All local variables and Value property nodes have been eliminated.
The way the loops are stopped will likely leave some data in the queue. No more than one or two iterations of each of the data acquisition loops. If you need to guarantee that all data has been displayed (or saved in a real application), then you need to stop the acquisition loops first and read the queue until you know it is empty and both of the other loops have stopped. Then stop the display loop and release the queue and notifier.

How do i back up my iPod with music from different sources?

I have an Ipod from 2007. 60GB. I have music from several different sources and want to back it all up and eventually move it all to my new iphone. How do I do this?

Copy the content from this older iPod into your iTunes library on your Mac and configure to sync to the iPhone.

Combining 2 readings into a waveform chart/graph displaying continuous readings of data from different sources

Hi,
In the file
(Serial Read and Write to .tdms & Compare on Graph – test.vi) I am trying
to integrate the following two waveforms into a single waveform: Realtime
reading and Waveform chart (open vi to see). Both of them display speed vs time
but from different outputs. One comes from an excel file (Teraterm – Results.xlsx
– sheet 4, (column 3:row 4) to (column 3:row 1878)) and the other comes from
the Serial input which is in Hex format and is split to get the various readings
of speed, voltage etc. I have already wired speed to a variety of waveform
outputs, but all result in broken wires.
The readings are taken in by the program
and but I am unable to wire the two readings together into one graph.
Please do let me know as to how can I make this work.

I'm sorry again about the misspelling your nick.
I tried connecting a waveform chart to the two terminals (speed from the DAQ and speed from the excel file) but I was unable to get the connection right. I understand that charts are used for readings which are equally spaced out, whereas XY graphs are used when the readings are not be spaced out uniformly. But I am unable to wire the connections correctly.
Actually the DAQ device continuously sends out data through the serial port. So I would not run out of data . Are you referring to the data coming from the DAQ device or the excel file? I actually have not thought of what would happen when the excel file would run out of values I am just hoping for the software to run till then for now

How to create an internal table with fields from different sources

Hi.
I need to create an internal table where some of the fields are from a database table, and the other fields are user specified. How do i do that?
Example:
DB table ZTAB with fields ZTAB-FIELD1, ZTAB-FIELD2.
I want to create an internal table ITAB with the fields ZTAB-FIELD1, ZTAB-FIELD2 from ZTAB. In addition, I also want to have one more field RECORD_NO, which is not from ZTAB. How do I do it? Could I do something like below?
DATA BEGIN OF ITAB.
        INCLUDE STRUCTURE ZTAB.
DATA RECORD_NO TYPE I.
DATA END OF UPLINE.
Or, are there more efficient way of doing it? Thanks.

Creating a package from Github source and install instructions

I've read that the correct way to install things is to make a package from source if it's not in a repository.

I copied /usr/share/pacman/PKGBUILD.proto into the source directory but was having difficulty getting it to work.
I've actually just done make clean; make like it says in the instructions since I was thinking it's not installing anything (since it's not "make install").
It seems to have changed a few things in /usr/local/include...
I guess I'd like help creating the package,
and possibly undoing what I did with make clean; make.

Tidal itself does not have a Makefile (except for its docs), so I suppose you’re talking about Dirt’s makefile. From what I can see it shouldn’t touch /usr/local/include or anything outside the build directory as long as you don’t run “make install”.
Arch doesn’t put anything in /usr/local anyway, as far as I know, so you can probably easily see if Tidal or Dirt put something in there…
It might be easier for you to first build Dirt and Tidal manually and then make a PKGBUILD once you know the different steps required.

How to use a bind variable in XE for accessing data from different sources

I am new to XE and trying to create an application like this:

Select * from v$session@:P1_DATABASE ;
My intention is to give the name of the database at runtime to fetch the relevant data.
But I am getting error like this
1 error has occurred
Query cannot be parsed within the Builder. If you believe your query is syntactically correct, check the ''generic columns'' checkbox below the region source to proceed without parsing. ORA-01729: database link name expected
Doesn't work even when I check the "Generic Columns" and run the query at the run time (same error).
Can some one please help!

Hi,
There are rules using names in SQL. I think you could use dynamic SQL to achieve the goal in your case. It is not clear for me what are you going to do. Moreover bind variable are difficult to use some times.
You could start with something simple as a report and a form.

I have footage from 3 cameras: 2 HDV (1440x1080) from Sony Z7 and 1 HD (1920x1080) from Sony EX-3. I could not find a way to create a multiclip in FCP 7; I get the message: The video frame sizes don't match. Is there a way to do after all? Maybe if I change the codec and frame size of the HD material and render it according to HDV, would that work?

Yes, that's the way to go. To be able to make a multiclips all sources must be in the exact same codec en specifications.
If you want to output to tape at the end, then stay in HDV. Otherwise I'd recommend to transcode the HDV to match the EX3 footage...

Data modified from different sources

I have a problem with getting data into an AB ML1200 PLC. I will simplify this to explain: I have data going into reg N7:0 thats the result of a calculation. Lets say
"N7:0=TextEntry1.value*10". All goes well, but there is another local HMI that also writes to N7:0. Although this local HMI's N7:0 value shows the reflected change of the calc above from Lookout, any attempt to change the local HMI's N7:0 value is overridden by the calc. I need to be able to change the value from the local HMI and have Lookout update the "TextEntry1.value" to reflect the change. It sounds simple enough but it's kickin' my butt! As a sidenote I wouldn't have this problem if the AB driver in Lookout for the MicroLogix supported float (F) regs - I was kind of shocked it did not. Any ideas?

It looks like you need to make the connection on remote source. For example, create a pot. On its property page, edit its remote source to the N7:0. It will be both read and write connection.
But you also need to mutiply the value by 10, so you can first create an Alias on N7:0 by right-clicking on driver object and select Edit Data Member Configuration. Input the scaling, for example, raw value from 0 to 100, and eng value from 0 to 10, so that this Alias will represent the value of N7:0/10. Give a name to this Alias. And then, bind the pot's remote source to this Alias. Have a try.
