Creating a Flash Archive of a Zoned System and using it for JumpStart

Hi,
I've searched on Internet for this topic and so far found only infos that tell me this is not supported yet. Is it still the case or maybe there are some patches already avaialble which can help ?
If this is still not possible to achieve, is there any way to effectivly clone system with zfs and zones ?

Flash archive will not include zone configuration in the image, so it is not possible to use it in Jumpstart. No patches available for this.
I have done cloning using Ops Center, need to explore doing it manually, something should be there.

when you've created the flar image just setup the jumpstart server accordingly
1) create a profile for a flash installation
install_type flash_install
archive_location nfs js1:/data/server.flar
partitioning explicit
filesys c0t0d0s0 2000 /
filesys c0t0d0s3 6000 /usr
filesys c0t0d0s4 2000 /var
filesys c0t0d0s5 2000 /export/home
filesys c0t0d0s6 520000 /export/zones
2) create the jumpstart client just as you would normally
3) jumpstart the server
As far as i know this should work

For ease of installation, I created an flash archive of an Solaris server using flarcreate. Since there are some changes to the system since the date of creation, I would like to update that flash archive the changes we have made. I understand that there is a way to update flash archive, but just don't know which command to use and its syntax. Would appreciate if someone can help, thanks!

However, there is some error while generating the differential archive. Do you guys have any idea what it is?
Here is the command I use:
flar create -n wp22diffarchive1 -A /var/flashtest/S9.wp22.flashimage -c -x /var/flashtest/ wp22diffarchive1.flar
// where S9.wp22.flashimage is the original image which stored in /var/flashtest directory.
Here is the error message I got:

I am not sure whether these errors can be ignored or not. Any comments? Thanks!

I would like to know if someone used the mentioned functionality 'Define Logical Systems and Template Names for BW Reports, I would like to know too IF I create a Z REPORT for example in webdynpro and insert it in this configuration it will work and where it will appear in sourcing cockpit?

Hello Muthu,
BW reports will be shown in SRM Box if the corresponding BW roles for SRM are integrated with SRM roles.
You might to activate the corresponding datasource of this in SRM.
And since you have to connect the source system to BW, I think you have to define SRM system as logical system in BW.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

I have a windows 7 system and use Adobe Reader XI, 11.0.05 All my excel spreadsheet files have converted to Adobe files and I cannot access my excel spreadsheets. I uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled the version all over, and I also downloaded a security patch, however, I am still having the same problem. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen and what I might be able to do to fix this ? Thank you

I don't understand; did you really convert all your Excel docs to PDF (how?), or did you merely lose/change the file association?

I cannot download flash. I have windows 7 and using explorer. When I download flash, it tells me that the download is successful but it isn't. When I try to save it it is not saved where it tells me that it is saved. I downloaded reader and that was successful. I did disable shockwave in my addons because that was slowing yahoo opening up. So when I download flash everything looks successful but then it is not there.

Shockwave Player, or Shockwave Flash? If you disabled Shockwave Flash, then you disabled Flash Player.

For Apple store go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign out and sig in with correct ID
For messages go to Settings>FaceTime>You can be reached at and ad an their own unique email address and delete the common Apple ID address.
Similar for Messages too.

How to create a flash archive of cdrom -s boot?

I would like to create a flash image of a balde 100 with a SUNWrneq install. I tried to flash this install by booting off the cdrom in single user mode. I originally loaded the HD with 2 partitions; / on s0 and swap on s1, then I mounted so to /a on the cdrom and then I ran the following flarcreate command:
flarcreate -n flash_root -c -S -R /a -e root_archive -x /aflash -x /tmp/root -a me /a/flash/SUNWCrneq-solaris-10-GA.flar
The error message is as follows:
File size of "flash/SUNWCrneq-solaris-10-GA.flar" has increased by 2121474920 blocks
1 error(s)
Archive creation complete
flar -i against the archive says that the archive is unreadable.
Please, can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong?

Hi Phil,
Maybe a typo. Your command does not omit the directory /a/flash but /aflash. You could amending this or, try creating a filesystem with your original swap area and mounting the on /tmp/b and sending flar image there.
flarcreate -n flash_root -c -S -R /a -e root_archive -x /aflash -x /tmp/root -a me /a/flash/SUNWCrneq-solaris-10-GA.flar
