Creating a Forum/message board in Dreamweaver
Not a newb.... just got some newb questions
Ok so I would like to create a forum for my company intranet
so that my users could get together and bump heads.... I found a
program called Kollection but is the another (free) way of making
this happen???
Im also looking to add a daily announcement page but I dont
even know where to begin with that...
Any help at all would be appreciate :)
There are prebuilt forums all over the place. What server
model?
If PHP, try
http://www.phpbb.com
If ASP, try
http://forums.snitz.com

How do I create a simple message board (forum)
I am a BC new-bee. How do I create a simple message board (forum) in BC to use on a Muse site since no widget is available there.
No worries,
The simple way should be that:
open your forum page in Muse
under "object" > "insert HTML" > paste "{module_forum,a,}"
click ok
move the textbox to the right position
now publish this page to your bc site
if you have any forums set up in the admin of your site (http://yourdomain.com/admin) it should show you the title of the forum.
if there are no forums set up, you will need to create a forum in bc (Modules > Forums)
Try this and let me know how it turned out.

Other Forum/Message Board -
Looks like there is some confusion about where the BI Tool threads are being posted - here is another forum that seems like it's getting more traffic
Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise EditionYou are right. The Oracle BI Applications forum (Business Intelligence Applications should be used to post the questions about Oracle BI Applications, which used to be known as Siebel Analytics applications.
The BI applications are pre-packaged apps built on top of the OBIEE platform.
Here is the link to Oracle BI Applications general information available on www.oracle.com.

What is the best way to create a message board in Dream Weaver CS3?
I need to create a simple message board in Dream Weaver CS3. Any ideas or tutorials that you know of?
Even a simple BB would require really advanced coding skills with server-side scripts, databases, JavaScript, not to mention a good deal of experience with web server security.
Ask your hosting provider if they support 3rd party products like VBulletin or phpBB.

How do I create a message board/forum using forms in Dreamweaver?
I want to create a forum or messageboard using the form in Dreamweaver but I don't know how to do it. Is there any guidance on how I could create a message board or forum on Dreamweaver?
I don't think it can be done with just dreamweaver,
You will have to download something like PHPBB,
If you have a host with fantastico deluxe you can easily set up a forum
with it.

How can I create a message board page?
Does anyone know how to create a message board page?
Thanks.Forumotion definately. You can do so much with their forums from template editing, theme uploading, pure HTML page creating...they are the best i have been with.
If you haven't got much time, and want to see what the new phpbb3 can offer, just try it out on this host : free forum hosting -
Quick question on simple message board/forum
Do I need to use the server to create a forum? I'm not ready to publish yet, but want to get one started, where do I begin? Tutorial link would be great...
thanksDo I need to use the server to create a forum?
To host your own, you'll need to install software on your remote server.
If your server supports PHP, you might find what you need below in the Support Section.
http://www.phpbb.com/
If you don't want to host your own, there are Forum and Message Board Hosting Services you can use.

Does anyone know if there is a way in iweb to create a message board/forum enviroment?
Imac 800 Mac OS X (10.4.5)There's no way to do this, other than to link from iWeb pages to some other site where you can. .Mac does not have the capability either, except the limited messaging in .Mac Groups.

I cannot create a new Business Catalyst site with Dreamweaver CC 2014 (Mac). The error message states that Dreamweaver cannot connect with server, try again later. In addition, I am also unable to load remotely a previously created Business Catalyst site as it says there is something wrong with my username or password. However when I put my password in and press test connection, it says it has connected successfully. What is going wrong and how can I fix this problem?
ThanksHi Ozy08,
Can you try the solutions mentioned in Re: Can't Login to Business Catalyst within Dreamweaver CS6?
If you still have problems, and you have a purchased version of DW CC, send me your Adobe ID, location, and contact details over a private message. Click my picture and use the message option.
Thanks,

Creating a Forum Page in Dreamweaver
How do I create a Forum page in dreamweaver? I am not
familiar with designing pages that website viewers may add content
to.Dreamweaver has no facility for creating forums. Your best
bet is to look at one of the free forum application packages, like
phpBB for PHP or Snitz for ASP. -
Can I create a Message Board in Muse?
I'd like to create a Message Board on my website so people can share stories or talk about different topics. I was wondering how I can do this in Muse or if it is possible.
Muse doesn't support this feature natively, but you could perhaps embed a message board using HTML or an i-Frame - crude but it would work.

Message Board / Forum Software
Can anyone recommend a ColdFusion-based message board / forum package? It can be either open source or commercial. So far I'm aware of Galleon and Fusetalk. Everything else I've come across seems years old and no longer updated. I'd like to explore all my options before recommending something to my client.
Best to ask in the Oracle Portal forum

I would like to add a message board/forum such as the one we are using to my site. Is there a stock portlet the oracle has built and is available to add? Does anyone have one?

Hi, Brian
No easy answers. First what language do you intend to use?
You could
check out hotscripts.com for a message board, their are many
free ones
around such as Galleon
http://galleon.riaforge.org/
and
http://forum.snitz.com/ and no
doubt many others, but you will need to
know what language you want to use.
The list would generally be held in a database and the mail
sent by
looping through the database for mail addresses that meet a
certain
criteria.
Again, the email form would depend on the language you are
using, email
forms are generally pretty straight forward.
