Creating a minimize and restore button in flash.. help :D

is there a way in flash to be a able to create a minimize and a restore button in flash,, and
is it also possible to remove my title bar?

Oh thank you so much!! I have spent days looking for this and could not figure out why the code did not work. My professor has been out sick so he has not responded to emails since the end of last week. Now one last thing is that when I click test movie my polygon object is in stop mode meaning it is not moving. I have to click play for it to move. Is there anything I can add to my code so that when I hit test movie and the test window pops up the polygon is automatically playing without me having to hit the play button first?

Win 7 minimize and restore error

This error is somewhat similar to another just recently mentioned on this board here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabWindows-CVI/Window-Minimize-and-Restore-issue/td-p/3085541, but not quite the same.
When running an application on Windows 7 created by LabWindows/CVI 2012 SP1, I have the problem of after the main execution window is minimized, that when it is restored the application is not responsive and I get the Windows spinning donut of doom. The application is sending commands to hardware via a USB serial port and waiting for responses. It all works fine, and many times even when minimizing and restoring the main window to open Notepad to write something down.
But sometimes, when restoring the main application window, it just never responds again. I have to go to Windows Task Manager to kill it.
In the main app, once connected to the hardware, it is reading data from the hardware to display as a graph on the screen based on a 1-10 second timer trigger.

It occurs with an executable built with CVI. I have attached images of the two tabs from the Build Options window.
The distribution is being built as a 32-bit executable, since the main place it will run is on the 32-bit tablet.
Running it on the desktop is mainly for testing in the lab. But the laptop is also sometimes used with it in the field, so that one is important.

Missing maximize, minimize and close buttons

I see that people have been having problems with these issues before the finalized FF4, I have the most updated version on my PC. The answers all seem to say it was a problem with beta versions. When I stay online for long periods of time my full screen, minimize and close buttons disappear. I have 2 screens and have found that when I pull a tab to the other screen the buttons reappear with that tab. But all the tabs still on previous screens are still missing. If I pull the whole set of tabs (opened together) I still can not get the buttons to reappear. when I am ready to close all the open tabs at once I use task manager and close down FF4. Right now I see my background screen where the button should be.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).

Java APPLET minimize and maximize button

im using java 1.3 and ie4.0 or ie5.5, i would like to know if there is any way i could remove or at least disable the minimize and maximize button for the APPPLET window for the toolbar..i tried using setResizable(false) but it doesnt work..well if i tried it in the appletviewer , it actually worlks for the maximize button(it disables the maximize button), but if i try it in the browser, it doesnt work at all... please help

At least on Linux, JDialog's don't have a resize functionality. So you could do the thing you want to do with a JDialog (or maybe plain java.awt.Dialog), and everything will be fine!

Missing close, minimize, and maximize buttons

I'm using OS X 10.7.4 Lion-- and have been unable to add back the minimize and other buttons when on webpages via Safari or in Mail.
I've tried rebooting, repair disk permission, but nothing seems to bring it back.
I seem to have a totally white screen, whereas I used to be able to see the background and have multiple windows. I also cannot keep the dock
visable- need to scroll below it to bring it back.
And the toolbar stays hidden until I scroll upwards.
Have googled for solutions, but nothing seems to come out of this that helps. I can only think that my problems are related, since none of
these situations used to occur.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I think you've accidently zoomed the screen. Hold the Control key down and scroll with your mouse or trackpad.
One direction zooms the other unzooms

My firefoz opens but opens a transparent window that only has the close,minimize and maximize buttons.

So my firefox has been running well but when i updated my computer, it stopped working. when i double click the icon, it opens a blank transparent window with only the maximize, minimize and close buttons. you cannot even tell its firefox. it does not display any error messages and installing again does not work.
what is this and how do i fix it?

hello nachoz88, [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/940393#answer-377118 from another user] we found out that this might be related to malware active on your pc. please close all firefox windows and try [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|running firefox in safemode]] (by pressing the shift key while you're starting it). in firefox safemode go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove the entry named "Codec v1.0" or any other addons that look suspicious & you have not installed intentionally. afterwards see if you can run firefox normally again...
please also do an in-depth scan of your system with the security software already in place and/or a different tool like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & keep firefox and your plugins up-to-date in order to stay safe on the web.

Where is the minimize and maximize buttons?

I'm using Acrobat version 8 and the standard windows XP minimize and maximize buttons are gone from the top right hand corner of the window which means I have to resize the window manually. There IS the "x" button to close the window if I wanted to but that's it. This happened once before in version 7 but then the buttons came back somehow. I'm on Windows XP and all of my other programs work fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

I fixed my own problem...finally. I'm using a third party add in called PDFlyer. In the options window for that program is a checkbox for "hide minimize/maximize box". That was the trick.

Where are the resources (Graphics) for the Close, Minimize, and Zoom buttons located?

They appear to be in the /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreUI.framework/Versions/A/Resources/AquaUI. bundle/Contents/Resources/ folder, which can be navigated to with the Finder's Go to Folder command in the Go menu. They may also be in the LeopardUI.bundle folder, with the rest of the path identical.

If you're using a USB hub take it out of the loop. Plug directly in to a USB port on the system. If you are using a front mounted USB port, try one on the back instead. If this doesn't correct it, try shutting off any firewall and antivirus software and turn off User Access Control.

G60 power led, charge led, and power button led flash continually

I have a G60 laptop that will not charge the battery or start up and when I plug the power into it the power led, charge led, and power button led flash continually
If I press the power button I here the DVD drive make a noise and a fan comes on and goes right off.

Probably a hardware issue, may have to contact local technical assistance or HP
Is the system able to boot up with AC supply only with battery removed?
Try keeping it charged for 3 hours or so with battery & AC adapter plugged in the lap, and try powering it on again after that.

Is there anyway that I could use to remove the MINIMIZE and MAXIMIZE buttons up the top right coner of a window ?

You can disable them (removed on some early windows versions), if you make your window non-resizable.
Otherwise you would have to override the Window or JWindow class to make your own frame-like window.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
