Creating a mirror image page

I have a twoColElsLtHdr page that suits a number of languages
but I now need to create a twoColElsRtHdr version to accommodate
the Arabic and Farsi languages which read from right to left. Do I
need to start from scratch or is there a fast way to do this? The
sidebar has a Spry Accordion menu and the Main Content has a Spry
Tabbed Panel. I'm using Dreamweaver CS3.

Is there some way to create a mirror image backup of iPhone and iPad ? At this time our company has over 250 devices that are constantly being upgraded and passed down the line. it would speed things up considerably if there was a way to mirror the old device and then restore it on the new Phone or iPad. I don't care about any of the other features in iTunes, i just need something to speed up the process without having to walk them thru reintering their passwords, redownloadeing all the apps that didn't transfer ect.

You would need to tell each user to make sure they backup their devices either thru itunes or icloud.
With a company like yours, you should suggest backing up to icloud.
IOS backup http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 then when the user gets a new phone, you or they can just restore from their icloud.
The only hard part would be if the user has music (non purchased from itunes) which they would need to sync to itunes to get back on their phone.
there is no easy process for this. I'm in the same boat as you but way fewer people to deal with.

You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

Creating the mirror image...

I used to have a workflow for taking any image, and making the top half appear as if it's a mirror image in a lake on the bottom.
I started (if memory serves correct), by finding the point where the water hits the original and I would create a layer and fill it with blue.
I then copied, rotated the top onto it's own layer so it was a mirror view.
I then gaussean blurred (if I remember correctly) and did something to have this effect very realistic and I just can't find my notes on this.
Does anyone have a suggested workflow or tutorial?

Unless you also have Photoshop, skip down to the second section of this tutorial.
Don't let not being able to do the channel bit deter you. You can take an image of water...or a water texture you've made...and save it in PSD format to use to displace the water surface. It's also helpful to blur the texture a bit before using it with the displacement filter.

Am I just completely missing something or can this not be done unless you make a card or something?? I can see how to rotate and adjust how the picture looks but can't suss out how to simply create a flipped or mirror image of a photo...

Can I create a mirror image of a 3D object without flattening it?

I'd like an exact copy of a 3D object I made to be looking back across my image at the other one. I feel retaining the 3D functionality of the second object enhances the authenticity of the image and keeps more options open if I decide I need to reposition them.
I can change flatten a copy of the layer and do a Image rotation: flip canvas horizontal. No problem. But if I want the shadow it casts to play across the background differently than a flip of it's counterpart, then I'd need the new one to be a 3D object as well.
Does anyone know how I might do this? I thought I might be able to find a transform panel for my first object, and that I could just enter the same values in reverse for my other object (they're not that complicated). But I don't see a tab for that. I'm new to PS 3D, so it's all kind of magic to me.

Yes, you can duplicate objects which have their own properties.

Mirror Imaging of a PDF Page?

I am using Adobe Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9 to create and read the layers in a multi-layer printed circuit board. One PCB layer per page, and I print the pages (layers) on clear acetate sheets using an inkjet plotter. After printing I "pin" the acetate sheets together and look downward through the layers.
How can I use Acrobat (any revision/any version--I'm willing to spend money) to mirror image certain pages in the multi-page file?
In my context, "mirror imaging" corresponds to flipping the circuit board over and looking backwards through it.

You would need to create a mirror image of the layer, in either the program that created the original layer or in a program like Illustrator, then use some programming to make that image layer visiable

Creating a disk image for software installation

Hello all,
I'm having a problem with my iMac not reading my family pack OSX Tiger install DVD... although it worked fine on my other three macs. Someone said that I could "create a mirror image of the DVD to my desktop on another mac and then copy that to an ipod. Then use the ipod to boot up the imac and install Tiger".
Can anyone explain to me how to do that? IE... how to create a mirror image of the DVD so I can try the ipod fix?

I was stumped by this and wanted to see if I could figure it out, so I was Googling around and ran into this. It is the very first post and details the process of how someone else used an iPod to install Tiger from DVD to a Mac that did not have a DVD drive.

Need help with a mirror image effect

For most of our product photos, I create a copy of the image, flip it vertically, fade it out, and then move it down to create a mirror image effect. Simple enough. But this one I'm having a problem. The product has 4 legs, and from this view, the back 2 legs are shorter. When I do my normal steps that I listed, I get similar to what you see below. I know all about drawing a marquee around part of the reflection, hitting Ctrl+T and then holding down Ctrl+Shift to skew just what's in the marquee. I've done this technique a lot, but it does not work for this particular image. What do I have to do to get the reflection of the back legs to line up with the actual back legs in the image? Thanks.

Well, Photoshop is not a 3D rendering program and you can only fake it by painting or assembling the reflection using your artistic skills and knowledge of perspective and reflections. From certain angles and with certain objects this could be quite easily done by just mirroring the 2D image but in other cases like this it wont' work. I made a quick scene in a 3D program to show you how the refection will actually be in real life - you will see the bottom of the table in the reflection and this is missing from the 2D image. You can assemble and position separately parts of the reflection from the 2D image by using the front sides of the table and and legs but the rest (bottom) of table has to be created from scratch.

I understand that you want to know how to print a mirror image. I would like to help you out with this issue today.
This feature might not be available with this model. You would have to check the printer preferences, in the Advanced section for Mirror Image and turn it on from there if it is available. I checked the manual and it didn't show this feature.
If you don't have that option in the driver then use Paint, Under Rotate select Rotate 180 degree's and then under Rotate select flip horizontally.

Getting mirror images on Pages

Out of the blue I'm getting text in mirror image on preview when printing out pages. I am able to use settings to check "mirror image" so the text prints out ok but it is annoying to have the preview show up in mirror images. I'm sure it's something I did but I don't know how to correct it. Thanks for any help.

What version of Pages '09?
If you are having the problem on the 24" iMac you need to isolate what you have different there.
Check through your printer settings side by side with the 27" iMac.
Check that you have all the same versions.
Check if the problem also exists with other software on the 24"
I would start by trashing the printer on the 24" iMac and creating a new one with the latest printer drivers:
Menu > Apple > System Preferences > Print & Fax
