Creating a new logging table in source

Hi ,
I have two relication setup , one is ECC to Ent hana and the other Ecc to BW on hana.
For ECC to BW on hana , i want to create a seperate logging table in source  to diffrenciate from the two replication.
Could you please let me know how to do this.

  • Access key needed when creating a new database table with SE11

    Hi,
    I'm using SAP Testdrive (evaluation) on linux in order to learn a bit about ABAP programming. I want to create a new database table in the  dictionary to be used in my programs. I proceed in the following way:
    1) I run the SE11 transaction
    2) At the first entry I write the name of the table to be created (in the Database Table field)
    3) I click on the create button.
    But then the system asks me an Access Key to register, where can I get this?

    Ok I found the answer to my question in another thread
    Developer Key
    Make sure that your program names starts with "Z" or "Y", otherwise the system will ask you to register the object because it thinks you are creating/changing in the SAP namespace.
    In fact this was my error, my table name didn't start with neither "Z" nor "Y".

    I created a new condition table in M/03, and assigned one field to it, Generated and saved. Then added the condition table in the access sequence. There appeared two more lines below the field that i have assigned. One is Processing status and the other is released status, both are having green lights. what are these and what is its impact.

  • Can the AET be used to create a new Z table?.

    I understand that new user tables can be created/changed via EEWB, but, I keep reading that in CRM 7 we should now be using the AET tool. Can I create a new user table in AET, and if so, how?.
    I only know of one way to launch the AET via the WebUI, and that's via the screen configuration tool. Of course this method would only allow us to ammend an existing structure/table and not create a new one, hence my question.

    As far as I know EEWB never supported Z-tables except for those related to the SAP Business Partner.  It's always been next to impossible to use the EEWB to add Z-tables for the business transaction model.
    Jason can you please back your rant with some examples what the EEWB did with Z-tables that is not supported by the AET, for specific business object types.  EEWB was never used to create stand alone z-tables.  Also technically the EEWB was a big failure because it never supported currency and quantity type fields, so you could never automate your work.
    I'm just little concerned that if you don't clarify your statement about the EEWB you are going to confuse people who read this thread in the future.
    On another note the new tools available in EHP1 for enhancements are great and not hard to figure out.  They definitely fill some needed gaps.  Now just don't get me started about EHP1 not being in GA.

    I would like to perform all the integration steps on the source schema and then just put the data on my target table. This means that I want to create I$ and E$ tables on the source schema. How can I handle this? Shall I write a new CKM? I'm working with Oracle as source and target databases...

    Mistake from me, I do not think this is entirely possible.
    Using CKMs and most of the incremental update IKMs suppose that objects are created on the target (Error tables are always created on the target server).
    The configuration that would work is with no control and an "IKM SQL to SQL Append" used from the source to the target.

    the MBEW table have 15 millions of records, but i dont know how i do for create the new table with all MBEW data.
    I think make a table backup and restore this as ZMBEW object in DB library; but R/3 dont see this copy.
    Any suggestions???

    Hi Ernesto,
    first of all, you need to define this ZMBEW table in SE11 (DDIC) - you could copy the DDIC from MBEW. Then you have to activate that one and it will be empty.
    I would then use CPYF with "from record 1" on OS level.
    If you want to use your rstobj technique, I'm not sure, if something goes wrong, because not everything is changed:
    - primary key contraint: "MBEW+0"

    For source inspection.
    If existing insp types are not going to solve your purpose , you can create insp type & assign it to insp lot origin 01.
    But before that , check whether you can use  the existing insp type 01 / 0130.
    You need to assign that inspection type in the Q-info record , in the source insp field of insp control.
    Also go through the help tips provide by SAP

        Inspection type for the source inspection
    Use
        If you enter an inspection type for inspection lot origin 01 in this  field, you can create an inspection lot for the source inspection within the lead time before the (scheduled) delivery date.

        The inspection type must be active in the inspection setup (Quality Management view) of the material master.
        If a status profile is stored in the quality info record for the supply  relationship, a goods receipt inspection takes place instead of a source  inspection.

  • Create a new log file every hour

    I have a program which receives measurement data and writes this data to TDMS file. However, I want to create a new TDMS file every hour. When I put a while loop in mu sub vi which creates the new file the program doesn't run. I have attached the sub vi. Can anyone help me out here?

    One trick for doing this is to prepend the file name with YYJJJHH See example
    Then just check if file exists (if not create and add headder) when you write to file.
    This also generates the reports in "alphabetical" order so windows explorer presents them chronologically.

    We are running Exchange 2007 with 4 storage groups. We have migrated most of our mailboxes to Office 365 (there two web emails need to configure SMTP relay on Office 365) and stopped Exchange backup. However, the Exchange data still increases

    An easy way to see what mailboxes are being used on your system is to check your message tracking logs - run the following:

    This should get you the information if mailboxes have been used for sending or receiving email.  If you have any retention enabled in your system, this will cause messages to be removed from mailboxes.  And there is the common daily calendar management
    that the systems does.  If you have the recoverable items and recoverable mailboxes in place, these will be removed over time.  And finally, Exchange closes log files so that the database can be recovered to a certain point in time, regardless of
    whether there is traffic on the database.  So even if you have removed all access from your mailboxes, and in fact even if you have removed all your mailboxes, you will have transaction logs being closed.

    CREATE_TABLE_AS(p_NewTableName , p_OrigTableName , p_Col1, p_Col2, p_Col3)
    It should do the following:
    Creating a new, empty table with name p_newTableName. The new table has three columns, which names are passed as parameter p_Col1, p_Col2, p_Col3
    The columns must be of the same type as the columns p_Col1, p_Col2, p_Col3 of the Table p_OrigTableName
    How is this achieved?
    I could read the column type information from the catalog sys.user_tab_columns, but I wonder if there is another solution

    I actually need rows from two Original tables. I came up with the following query by adapting your query:
    CREATE TABLE TEST_TABLE AS SELECT * FROM
    (SELECT NAME FROM T1 WHERE ROWNUM = 0) t1,
    (SELECT AGE FROM T2 WHERE ROWNUM = 0) t2;
    I chose ROWNUM = 0 instead of 1=0. Doesn't this make a performance difference when the original tables contain a large number of rows?

    In Administration Workbench->modelling->Source Systems:I want to creat Data source in BW and replicate it from R3.I have already created a Data source based on a table in R3 and when creating it,there is only one item in applcation component:NEW_HIER_ROOT,not a tree hierachy.And in BW,when I creat a new data source,the background user in BW is grey,couldn't be changed.After I finished the procedure,system displayed that source system already exit.but it contains the tree hierachy.After I replicated,It hadn't datasource which I created.What's the problem?How to fix it?     Hi dear and welcome on board!
    First of all, if you want to see all the other items of the std hierarchy, you have to execute RSA9 transaction...
    Then, I'm not undersatnding what are you doing with your new datasource...
    You simply have to create your datasource in RSO2...then go in RSA1, source system, replicate datasources...
    Then go to the infosource page, create a new infosource, assign a source system and then you will see a list of available datasources...here you have to see your new one, choose it, manage the transfer structure/rules...
    That's all!
