How do I create a new Work Center for the transaction launcher and links

Hi
The requirement here is for me to find out if I can create a new Work Center that will contain up to 6 assignment blocks and each block having either links to websites and BW reports, or triggers to R/3 applications via the transaction launcher.
Can I do this purely through customising or do I need to create a new view using BSPs? If I can do it through customising please could I have a few pointers to what component I would need to use/copy?

Just so I understand, if I want to show a work center I need to link it to a component / view? I think this was the original query - do I need a developer to create the view that contains the 6 blocks with their links to reports, transactions and websites? I think when I talk about blocks I mean 1 viewset containing 6 views. There is no SAP standard view that would suit my requirements is there? Even if the work center had 8 views, I can always hide the two views in configuration.
After the developer has created the view, I then reference that component in the target Id in the define logical links section of my work center.
If my understanding is right, then it follows that it is not possible to create a user specific work center without some development.
Is this correct?

Creating a new work item instance in a process using PAPI

I'm seeing that there are a lot of questions on this forum about using Oracle BPM 10g's Java API called PAPI.
I just uploaded a step by step document on how you could do this using JDeveloper 11. Here's the link to this document: http://www.4shared.com/file/126507332/e814a3a8/CallingPapi.html. The Oracle BPM project I used for this step-by-step document is also in this zip file. If you're curious, this also describes how to download, install and start JDeveloper 11.
This is not formal Oracle documentation, but I know from teaching our Oracle BPM Bootcamp class that getting PAPI to work is sometimes a challenge and thought this might help. I tried to write it with the "Java Newbie" in mind so do not panic if you aren't an expert in Java (I'm sure not ?:| ).

i have gone through your example. It gives good information how to connect to BPM engine through java papi client. I have followed exactly the same steps given in the PDF document. But it throws the exception on both java client side and BPM Suite.

How to create a New SD flow in SAP BI

Hi Experts,
I want to create new SD flow where all data will be going to Standard Cube : 0SD_C03.
Our dataflow is like this : Datasource --> DSO --> Cube (0SD_C03).
There are many datasource for which Standard DSO is not available and we need to create Custom DSO. Is there any way to know which fields from Datasource will be mapped to Custom DSO.
Below are the datasource used and there Standard DSO.
1. Datasource ( 2LIS_11_VAHDR) ---> Standard DSO : 0SD_O03 (Orders)
2. Datasource ( 2LIS_11_VAITM) ---> Standard DSO : 0SD_O01 (Order Items)
3. Datasource ( 2LIS_11_V_I_TM) ---> Not able to find Standard DSO.
4. Datasource ( 2LIS_12_VCITM) ---> Not able to find Standard DSO.
5. Datasource ( 2LIS_12_VCHDR) ---> Not able to find Standard DSO.
6. Datasource ( 2LIS_13_VDITM) ---> Not able to find Standard DSO.
7. Datasource ( 2LIS_13_VDIHR) ---> Not able to find Standard DSO.
Please let me know if there is any Standard DSO available for the above datasource. If not then how we will be able to map the Datasource Fields to Custom DSO? Is there any table which will provide or something like that?

Thanks for your reply. I found mapping for most of the Datasources with the help of table : RSOSFIELDMAP.
But i am not able to find mapping for Datrasource : 2LIS_13_VDITM, 2LIS_13_VDIHR, and 2LIS_11_V_I_TM.
Except Datsource 2LIS_13_VDITM all otehr datasource are in 3.x flow. Can this be the reason?
In BI content I can only find two DSO for the respective datasource as provided in post.
Please provide if there are any Standard DSO for the corresponding Datasources.

Creating new work order - error on %001

Hi all,
Creating a new work order from the SAP Work Manager 6.0 application should be a standard functionality,
However, on the system of our client, this goes wrong.
Upon creating a new work order, we get the error 'Enter a numerical operation number'.
New objects get an ID that starts with 'LOCAL_xx:xx:xx', which is converted to %001.
SAP should recognize this and convert this automatically to 0010, 0020, ...
how come this does not happen?
it works fine on our SAP system, our customer's system gives an error.

Have you done any enhancement to standard product "specifically create method of Work Order Class handler" . or the standard product functionality itself is not working ?
I don't see any reason why it works in your system but not in customer system. Try to put break point in create method of Work order class handler and check what values are passed for operation number before invoking Work Order create BAPI.
Infact Work Manager product converts local numbers to incremental sequential numbers before invoking create BAPI for Work Order.

Create new work center in HR by using bapi.

Hello, everyone.
I'm trying to create a new work center in HR related to an organizational unit by using the bapi: BAPI_HRMASTER_SAVE_REPL_MULT.
For some reason I'm getting an error message:
"Object [work_center_id] does not exist in status 1".
This status comes from the field PL_STATUS at 1001, 1032 infotypes that I'm sending to the bapi.
Does anyone have a solution for me ??

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: [FMWGEN][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]CREATE TABLE permission denied in database 'master'.
I suppose you don't wish to create ODI repository in master database, this master database is used by MS SQLServer itself, and it's very critical in the whole SQLServer instance.
you should use a separate database for ODI, you can use sa to own this database, but please add ";datbaseName=<your ODI database>" in the JDBC URL, then it won't try to find master database.
If you like we suggest you use RCU to create repository.

Error creating new work space

I logged in as admin and tried to create a new work space for a developer. At the last step, I got error:
ORA-04063: package body "FLOWS_030100.WWV_FLOW_SAMPLE_APP" has errors ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "FLOWS_030100.WWV_FLOW_SAMPLE_APP"
Error provisioning XXXXXXX.
Return to application.

It looks like it is failing on the attempt to load the sample objects into the new workspace. Go to Manage Service / Feature Configuration and toggle Create demonstration objects... to OFF.
Try creating the workspace after that and see if it works. I don't know why the sample app install might fail but this should get you moving.

Move album from one library to another without creating a new project

I accidentally added photos to a new album in the wrong library. I want to move this album with masters and versions to the right library. I exported the album as a project. Then I import the project into the library where I want the album to appear. Importing using either merge or add creates a new project which contains the album. Is there a way to put the album into an already existing project without creating a new one? Using Aperture 3.1.1.

As Frank said, masters and versions all move together. They can't be separated because a version can't exist without a Master file. In fact, when working in RAW everything you see in Aperture is a version since RAW files need to be rendered for onscreen viewing. The masters are on your hard drive somewhere (managed or referenced) and what you see when you import a RAW file is simply an unedited version 1.
This is one of the most important concepts to grasp: you're never actually working with the masters. Aperture is just a big database pointing to files and applying instructions (adjustments) to those files in realtime on your screen.
Just remember that a picture and any of its versions can appear in many albums, in many different places. But as I said earlier, it can only appear in one project. Move a picture from a project and everything follows. Versions are just different renditions of the same master file.

New Screen Flow entry for Approval Workflow

Can anyone please help me with this? I have a requirement where I need to provide a link on a JSPDynpage to the default approval workflow screen for any KM folder. We already have links to standard permissions and subscription screens which can be called via a url which looks something like this:

For this we had created a new entry under Screen Flow (System Configuration->KM->CM Configuration->User Interfaces->Mapping->Screen Flow) and provided the java class for the Permissions screenflow. When I try the same for approval workflow however it does not work. In short, when I create a new Screen Flow Entry e.g. "approval" and specify the Java class for approval screenflow (com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.screenflow.cm.ApprovalScreenflow) and then use the URL

it does not work. Does anybody know why approval workflow works differently and how I can remedy the situation? Any help would be appreciated.

The Custom Dialog Task No. you have to assign.
1) Go to std. Workflow note all the Std. Task Maintain in SWFVISU, Note all the Parameters
2) Similarly for the Respective Custom Task, Assign the Same for your Custom Workflow.

Creating/Copying a Work Centre,also a Production Scheduler and Cost Centre.

Hi All,
I am trying to create a new work centre based on the settings of a previous one? First of all,how I can do this?
Secondly,after I have created the new work centre (having copied being copied from another),I need to create a new production Scheduler and Cost Centre? How I will be able to do so,also?Will the Production Scheduller and Cost Centre assignments fom the old work centre be copied,too,or I will need to create/copy these from scratch?

Hello,
You can create a new work center by copying an existing work center. in the cr01 screen in the copy from column put the plant name and Ref. work center name and put enter. all the existing data will be copied to the newly created work center. no need to create new assignment to Production Scheduller and Cost Center.

Create / Update a work center into an organization Unit

Hello, everyone.
I'm trying to create a new work center in HR related to an organizational unit by using the bapi: BAPI_HRMASTER_SAVE_REPL_MULT.
For some reason I'm getting an error message:
"Object [work_center_id] does not exist in status 1".
This status comes from the field PL_STATUS at 1001, 1032 infotypes that I'm sending to the bapi.
Does anyone have a solution for me ??

check if you have the object existing in Infotype 1000. If not, then you need to create 1000 also.
