Creating a self signed certificate - how do you set the 'storepass'

Hi, I'm trying to use the ADT to create an AIR 2.7 file, but it's the first time i've used the command line tool to build one and am having problems understanding the signing process.
I can generate a cert.p12 keystore file from within the flash IDE, and this asks for a password for the file (-storepass)
I can also use ADT to create a self-signed certificate from the command line, here you can specify the -keystore (cert location) and -keypass (password for the key in the store)
I cannot find a way of generating a self-signed certificate where you can specify both passwords though, one for the store (-storepass) and one for the key (-keypass).
This is a problem because when i go to package my AIR file using ADT it needs both passwords -storepass and -keypass before it can publish it.
Does anyone know how to generate a self-signed .p12 certificate and have control over both the keys...?
I have spent hours playing and searching now so may have the wrong end of the stick, could do with some help getting past this issue.

There is only one password is required to package for ipa as far I know

I read the keytool Documentation and wanted to create my own self-signed certificate.
ok, I followed the steps :
1) keytool -keyclone -alias origkey -dest my_key
2) keytool -selfcert -alias my_key -dname "cn=Stefan Gross, ou=Computers, o=notintersting, c=D"
3) keytool -certreq -alias my_key (output in mycert.cer)
4)keytool -certreq -alias my_key -sigalg X.509 -file newcert.cer
.. Password Input...
Keytool-Error: java.lang.Exception: Alias <my_key> does not exist.
But it exists, see :

So it exists, but why do I get the error ?

i have tried to produce a certificate my_cert.cer and it went well. as far as i understood you have to create a keystore first. this keystore holds a key pair.
and then using the keystore you can create as many certificates as possible based on the key pair.
try following the steps below. it should work, i mean i have followed them and all was fine. you can find the original form of the following from documentation of keytool (sun).

note: the last step is importing the certificate to the keystore which is not necessary if you only want the certificate.
To set up a digital certificate,
Generate a key pair.
The keytool utility enables you to generate the key pair. The keytool utility that ships with the J2SE SDK programmatically adds a Java Cryptographic Extension provider that has implementations of RSA algorithms. This provider enables you to import RSA-signed certificates.
To generate the keystore file, run the keytool utility as follows, replacing <keystore_filename> with the name of your keystore file, for example, server.keystore. If you are using the Tomcat server, the file must either be named .keystore and located in the home directory of the machine on which Tomcat is running, or you will need to tell Tomcat where the kestore file is by adding a keystoreFile attribute to the <Factory> element in the Tomcat configuration file or by specifying the location of the file on the Connector (8443) node of admintool.

Key password for the Web server--Do not enter a password. Press Return.
The next step is generate a signed certificate for this keystore. A self-signed certificate is acceptable for most SSL communication. If you are using a self-signed certificate, continue with Creating a Self-Signed Certificate. If you'd like to have your certificate digitally signed by a CA, continue with Obtaining a Digitally-Signed Certificate.
Creating a Self-Signed Certificate
This example assumes that the keystore is named server.keystore, the certificate file is server.cer, and the CA file is cacerts.jks. Run these commands in your <HOME> directory so that they are created there.
Export the server certificate to a certificate file:
keytool -keystore server.keystore -export -alias tomcat-server -file server.cer
Enter the password (changeit).
Keytool returns the following message:

Import the new server certificate into the Certificate Authority file cacerts.jks:

The site server is trying to install the sms_backup agent on the SQL Server Cluster nodes.
Without successfull bootstrap the siteserver backup is not able to run successfully.
Try grant everyone the read permisson on
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS on the SQL server nodes.
This worked for me.
After that a Folder named "SMS_<SITESERVER-FQDN>" appeared on C: on the SQL Cluster nodes, and a "SMS_SITE_SQL_BACKUP_FQDN" Service should be installed.
After the new Folder is created and the new Service is installed, you can safely remove the bootstrap Service by opening a command prompt and enter:
sc delete "SMS_SERVER_BOOTSTRAP_FQDN-of-SiteServer_SMS_SQL_SERVER"

New self signed certificate, how to mark as trusted for all users on clients

We have a new 10.8 server that we are currently using for iChat/Messages service. We have created a self signed certificate to encrypt the traffic to the Messages service since we have the service accessible for internet and phone users. We use network accounts and users need to log in on several different machines when in the office.
Can anyone suggest how to tell a client machine to trust the certificate for all users?
Currently, each user is asked to trust the certificate on each client they log into.
I have imported the server certificate into the client's system keychain in Kechain Access and asked it to trust the certificate for all items manually. This does not appear to allow all users to trust the certificate since subsequent users who have not yet trusted the certificate on the test client are still asked to confirm trust. When opening the iChat.app the users are still propmpted to verify the certificate which now indicates that it is trusted for all users.

Resolved.
- Drag certificate from verification dialog.
- Import into System Keychain
- Select certificate in System Keychain and select "i" button at bottom of window.
- Set all items to always trust.

We are using B2B & OSB to send out messages via eBMS protocol
So basically this are the two use cases
1) EBusiness Suite => B2B => OSB=> Customer for the outbound Shipment Notices
2) EBusiness Suite <= B2B <= OSB<= Customer for the Inbound acknowledgement
We are able to use standard B2B functionality to send out the messages using eBMS with https and client certificates
On the way back from the customer, we are using OSB that gets the raw data and the body gets sent to B2B
On the outgoing part a message gets created in B2B and is at MSG_WAIT_ACK
When the acknowledgement comes in, it comes as a seperate messgae in B2B and is at MSG_COMPLETE
How do you set the original outbound message from MSG_WAIT_ACK to MSG_COMPLETE?
We use JMS and have played around with jca.jms.JMSProperty.INREPLYTO_MSG_ID but that is not propagating to REFER_TO_MESSAGE_ID in B2B_BUSINESS_MESSAGE table
I tried using jca.jms.JMSProperty.CONVERSATION_ID as well but no luck

Are you asking about your own JavaMail code or about somebody else's web-based mail agent?
If it's the latter (which is what it sounds like) then you find the checkbox in the preferences configuration, or whatever they call it, which says "Include original message in reply", or something like that. If such a thing exists, that is. If you're thinking that the e-mail message controls how their code formats replies to it, that's not how it works.
Even Outlook lets you configure how replies are formatted, the only difference is that the Outlook default is to include the original message and your web-based agent's default is to not include it.

Hey Kris,
You might go to Edit> Preferences> Zoom
Do this without opening any particular PDF so that it applies to the program itself and not just one document.

I have a hyperlink in a grid panel. I am using
hyperlink1.setText("Hello"); in prerender(),
but the Hyperlink shows up with the text "Hyperlink", whereas I was expecting "Hello". However,
hyperlink1.setUrl("http://www.usf.edu"); works as expected.
I tried nesting a static text in the hyperlink as suggested in the Creator guide (ed 2, Google project). I deleted the "Hyperlink" text in the properties editor but then the page turned out blank.

Before upgrading to the latest version of iMovie last month, I was able to set the duation of all of the stills included in an iMovie project at one time by clicking the apply to all still box in the adjustment pop up. That option is no longer apparent. If it is available I cannot find it, and I have tried several different ways to accomplish it. I have tried the iMovie help section and can find nothing to help.

Because often people are animating to words or beats in the music. Music is rarely performed with a computer-precise beat and tempo. Musicians aren't robots: they swing the beat sometimes. They use rubato. They change tempo. They change time signatures. As a result, you have to FIND those words and beats. It's not a situation where you can say, "There! I've found the duration of one beat! Now it's easy to find the rest of them!"
If you try it, you will be very disappointed.
Try finding the precise end of a piece of music that fades or ends on a big chord with a ring-out. You'll see that it's trial-and-error: what's the point where it becomes inaudible? It depends on how high your speakers are turned up. You might have them way up, you set an end point for the layer, and then you do a RAM Preview at a more reasonable volume. You might say, "Hey! The music ends before the layer ends!"... but you KNOW you set the layer's out point when the audio file goes silent.
AE has layer markers that can be used on an audio layer to mark beats, words, etc. They come in very handy.
I guess it comes down to this: because AE can do so much different stuff, there are very few automated procedures. Oh, Adobe tries with effects that convert audio levels to keyframes, but they're not 100% reliable... especially on something like a capella choral works. For true accuracy, you need find the timings yourself.
If you want something simpler, try a different application. But be prepared for lower level of accuracy.

When Numbers is used on a system with decimal comma a csv file may be good AND wrong
Steps to Reproduce:
With Numbers v2, you introduced an interesting enhancement.
In system using the comma as decimal separator, Numbers requires csv files using the semi-colon as values delimiter.
In fact it’s true if we OPEN the document dragging its icon on Numbers one or thru the open dialog.
This said.
(1) Drag and drop a csv built with the 'semi-colon' standard on a table or on a sheet
(2) Drag and drop a csv built with the 'comma' standard on a table or on a sheet
Expected Results:
Every normally constituted user assume that in
case (1) he will get a perfectly built table
case (2) he will get every cells of a row in a single cell
Actual Results:
In fact you forgot the drag and drop way of use and in
case (1) every values separated by semi-colon are inserted in a single cell
case (2) values separated by comma are correctly spread in a table
isn’t it ridiculous ?
Regression:
Except looking in QuickView to see which is exactly the structure of the file to decide the way we will insert it in a Numbers document, we may use an applescript fair enough to replace the semi-colons by TAB characters
or
to replace the commas by TABs and the decimal periods by commas

While I am on this subject, I wish to make two proposals:
(1) It would be fine to format the date according to the ISO format year-mm-dd when you export a Numbers doc to csv.
Doing that, dates would be imported correctly in every countries.
At this time, on an English system, you export as mm/dd/year.
If the doc is open on a system using the format dd/mm/year, the results will be odd.
On a system using the format dd/mm/year, you export this way and so, if the doc is open on a system using the format mm/dd/year the results are odd too.
As every localized versions accept the ISO format (at least on entry), using it in the export scheme would give a correct behavior everywhere.
(2) It would be fine to add the format Tab Separated Values in the Export pane.
TSV + ISO date format would give documents opening flawlessly everywhere.

I made an account just to "like" your comment and say that you are a god among men.
I've been searching for hours about how to make the zoom level persistent throughout following links in various PDF's I have, and most sources were saying to just buy acrobat pro and edit the bookmarks manually with it.
I saw that it was possible to write an application to change the property, and considered doing it after the only pre-existing custom application I could find was asking for $50.
Thanks to you, I no longer have to worry about re-zooming every time I click a bookmark, and I'm not out $50 or the time it would take to code an app myself!

If you delete a picture, it sends it to iPhoto trash (left column), there you can permently delete using the empty trash with the icon in the upper right corner. It will come up with a warning if you want tp permently delete trash (photos). It the iPhoto trash you can drag them back out, once you empty the trash, they are gone.
You can also go to finder preferences>advanced, and unclick secyre empty trash, and make sure show warning before empting trash is clicked.
