Creating a signature problem in 7.0 Standard

When trying to create a signature, I now receive the message above along with the following:
Creation of this signature could not be completed.
Certificate parsing error:
x.509 parsing error:
Error encountered while BER decoding:
I tried to remove any peer to peer certificates, but do not have any to remove. I have spent hours on this problem. Is this a Vista problem, do I need to just buy 9.0 and be done with it. There is not technical support for 7.0 anymore...this is rediculous that I have to buy acrobat every single year it seems. I just get used to using one version and then another comes along and no support for the past version.....this really is starting to suck for the average joe shmoe customer.

I continue to have the problem.
I am currently in the iTMS and switched over to my music. Now there's a mix of the two windows on screen. I can't completely see the list view for part of TMS is still there.
Switching to other views will not help. The only solution is to close it and reopen. (And then never change the view.)
I don't want to lower the resolution on the monitor and I can't currently close, because I'm trying to backup my huge database. Now I've got a mess!

My problem is when I used load the disk on my G5 it would ask if you want High Definition or Standard Definition, now it just defaults to Standard Definition.(I'm using Apple's DVD Player)
Can I fix this problem?

Addendum: I read on a post here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=420169) about removing some kext files in order to trick OSX into thinking that there were no FireWire ports.
I followed the instructions and removed from /System/Library/Extensions/ the following files:
IOFireWireSerialBusProtocolTransport.kext
IOFireWireAVC.kext
IOFireWireFamily.kext
IOFireWireIP.kext
IOFireWireSBP2.kext
I restarted and BAM...Snow Leopard booted crazy fast and the mouse and keyboard worked instantly.
The System Profiler says "No FireWire ports were found."
So this tells me that the FW port is probably the culprit and is messing up the installation.
So how do I hack the Mountain Lion installer and tell it to ignore the FW port, which is obviously quite dead? Or is there something I can do to the Base system that is similar?

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Mail signature problem

I have problems with mail sigantgures with a new created IMAP mail account. I have created a signature for this account in the signatures tab and have then added that to my new account and choose this signature in the account in the popup tab.
the signature will not show up when I create a new e-mail, nor am I able to choose it in the signature tab. What did I do wrong?

Is it possible to add a signature by a logon script to a user? I would like to do this as I have over 80 users and going to each individual is becoming a pain. I also don't want them to know there the logos are as they could sign it fraudulently.
When I say logon script, I mean the user runs a script to make their signature. All we need is for it to link to their Microsoft Certificate base and just have the logo that we make.

Signatures cannot be on a drive. They are not dissociated from documents. Signatures reside inside signed PDFs. You probably confuse signature appearances with digital signatures. Signature appearances do reside on a hard drive.
I can create my signature appearance that says (in the image on the page) that I am Bill Clinton. But if you open the signature panel and inspect signer's certificate you can see who the actual signer is (unless it is a self-signed certificate in which case the signer's identity is unknown). I believe that your problem is more related to misunderstanding how digital signatures work than being a real problem at all.
Or maybe you are not using digital signatures at all and are using electronic signatures which are just stamps (or images) and you are concerned that someone can access a stamp (image) that belongs to another person and fraudulently sign with this other person's stamp (image). Well, if this is the case then only person who owns a stamp/image must have access to it. You cannot place all stamps/images for all people in one location. You need to place each in a protected location to which only this person has access (like password-protected folder). This is what signature services like EchoSign do.
This is why I like digital signatures so much better. If you procure signer's certificate from a reputable Certificate Authority all these problems (besides signature appearance) just do not exist.

George, I respectfully disagree that it related to the document. All documents I receive have the same problem. Again, all I want is to have the options back under the “Place Signature” button to be able to type my signature or draw it. The only thing the button is currently letting me do is in the screen print below.

I'm having a problem with OSX 10.7... While the image (as my Mail signature) hosted on a server in my OSX 10.6 worked perfectly as a Webarchive in Mail, the same procedure in OSX 10.7 simply doesn't wotk anymore...
Do you know what the new procedure should be, as opposed to OSX 10.6?
I learned how to create this signature hosted as an HTML on a remote server with this guy:

As I mentioned, it works perfectly in my OSX 10.6, but in a newer machine, all that I got was an image not found (the question mark ? instead of the actual picture) in Mail.

Signature problems workaround

I had signature problems in my system, software update and mac app store failed on some sort of signature problem. I followed a suggestion to create a new admin acount and check if it works on it and it did. What do I do now? do I have to abandon my old account or I can fix it somehow?

I seemed to have fixed the problem by selecting the box to "Always match my default message font" on all my signatures.
I don't understand what was happening. Before I checked this box all kinds of weird things would happen.
I have a 12 line Signature. When I wouldhit "None" four lines were erased, leaving eight lines. When I hit "None" again another four lines were erased, leaving four, etc. After the additional lines were all erased all worked as advertised.
I thnk this is a bug in Mail. The signature buffer must only be a certain number of lines or something.
But, by selecting the match my message font all seems to work.

I was using Adobe version XI and the signature feature disappeared from the menu. Now I downloaded Acrobat Reader DC. Using the menu and instructions I created a signature ID and customized the signature; however, when I go to sign a document it only shows the name layout or graphic image? How do I go back to using the certificate that I created?

Adobe X PDF files converted to jpg, edited and converted back to PDF have ragged, unclear text. I didn't have this problem with Acrobat 9 standard. What is the remedy for this. If this is the best I can expect, I won't be able to use X standard.

I can't imagine any worse workflow than converting to JPEG to edit text, then back to PDF. Text in a PDF is a vector thing, smooth at all resolutions. And JPEG is made for photos. EVERY conversion to JPEG and back loses quality but how much loss there is will vary.
If you must go to an image format, try PNG.

We have a requirement where we are depreciating the assets (standard transaction ABAA) using a custom BDC program. We need to maintain a history (called audit trail) for the particular asset that has been depreciated using this program. For this audit train we have been asked to use "Generic Object Services" in transaction code ABAA.
Unfortunately, Generic object services are not available in this transaction code. Can you please suggest me how to create "Generic Object Services" for a particular standard transaction code. Also, we have show the details of custom workflow that follows the approval process in order to depreciate the asset. how to show this workflow details using Generic Services. This is a very critical issue, any help will be very help ful.
Please let me know should you require more information on this topic.

1. Go to se37 open FM VIEW_KURGV in display mode.
2. Click on the spiral icon on the top.
3. Then in menu go edit->enhancment options -> show implicit enhancement
