Creating a slider bar with images?!!?

Hi All,
I am trying to mimic something similar to this http://www.danannett.co.uk/
Is this done purely in Flash CS4 or is another one of Adobe's products involved too? If it is just CS4 then can someone point me in the right direction?!

It all is done in flash, its known as an image train. How Ever you
decide to load the images Array or XMLList you would load the images
into an image wrapper and increment each x value times the width plus
padding. The slider at the bottom controls the movement of the image
wrapper.
do you have a way you want to load the images.

I Also can't sign in to adobe with the program. It simply spins and I had to force close the program.

I am using photoshop Elements 10 under the create tab...slide show.
Used it on my desktop several times. Deactivated it and installed on new lap top about 5 months ago. Had not used it other than for photo editing until today.
I can also not login in thru the program. It simply spins and I finally had to force close the program

Photoshop doesn't do slideshows… What software are you using?

You can batch process a set of prepared slides from Full Edit (see image) using:
File >> Process Multiple Files
In the PMF dialog you can choose filename, date, or description (caption)
Make sure you choose a separate destination folder to your source folder so as tot to permanently overwrite your originals.

Problem in creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePD

I need a favor I am creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePDF for a web based application. Images have been generated on that pdf but it is creating problem for large size images as half of the image disappeared from that pdf.I am taking the image inside a canvas . How do i control my images so that they come fit on that pdf file for any image size that i take.

I am having a similar and more serious problem. It takes a
long time to execute, but even attaching a small image balloons the
pdf to 6MB plus. After a few images it gets up to 20MB. These are
100k jpeg files being attached. The resulting PDF is too large to

If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
• iDVD is part of the boxed version of iLife'11 and can only be bought outside Apple as on Amazon and e-bay
• DVD Studio pro - Part of FinalCut Studio Pro bundle - this to has expired and can only be bought second handed. (High price and tough learning Curve - but best ever done.)
• Roxio Toast™ - Not as elegant as iDVD - but has many other positive additions (I like it as 10-Pro incl BD-component) (now version 11)
• Burn - only free alternative I know of on internet. Very simple - Just for doing a plain Video-DVD

How to create a navigation bar with custom made buttons?

I'm used to work with a similar program as Muse. In there we can create a single button and link them together into a navigation bar. I have tried all sorts of tutorials but none of them is discussing this possibility.
To summorize. The idea is to create a button in photoshop and to use this as a theme to build a navigation bar. Possible or not and how? Thanks for assistance. Rgds Rufin

No, not really. I used to work with XARA up till now. And being an Adobe Cloud user I think it a bit silly using two different systems. In XARA I can create a custom button and turn them into a navbar. For your information I include a few links to sites I created with Xara and I would like to know if I can create the same type of navbars with Abobe Muse. I already found out that all the other functions are available and some work a lot better in Muse, but I’m stuck on the navbar issue. I know I can create a button in Adobe PS and use it in Muse. But I didn’t manage to figure out how to create a navbar in Muse on basis of a button created in PS.

Have you ever successfully saved anything to that external drive? My first two thoughts are that the drive isn't formatted for the Mac or that you don't have rights to save to the drive.

How I do I create a horizontal menu with images as background?

I have tried the spry horizontal menu available through the Insert panel in Dreamweaver 5.5. I thought I could set background images on the li elements, attaching via CSS and using IDs on each li. So far nothing is working especially well, and I'm fried.
What is the best way to create a horizontal menu when you want to use a background image? At this point, I'd be fine with using one image background and relying on the anchor pseudo classes for hover and active. The menu doesn't have to be an image rollover. It just has to enable me to keep the part of the banner image that descends into the menu area.
My goal is to do everything using CSS instead of resorting to a table for positioning the menu elements.

I just created a slide show with music and tried to export it to a thumb drive to play on another computer. File seemed too large and slow to export, so I deleted the music. Now, I can't get the music back on it and don't know what to do...

If you want help you’ll need to give us more information. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

Creating a slide show with acrobat

I am putting together a photobook with InDesign and would like the file to run as a full screen PDF slide show when it is opened. I think this is probably straight forward but haven't been able to figure it out. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Command-L starts full screen mode. This can be set in the properties
under Initial View.

Horizontal menu bar with image dropdowns works perfectly in Safari & Chrome but . . .

Specifically, the vertical spacing between the .gifs at the tertiary menu level -- hover over services / project types. In Safari and Chrome the .gifs all butt up against each other properly, which I achieved with the block property after much trial and error. But there's still separation between them when viewed in IE and FF.
I would greatly appreciate any wisdom from the forum.

Adding multiple slides with images from iPhoto

OK you use to be able to simply drag and drop 25 images in the right column and it creates a slide for each image, I am in v6.3 and it is not allowing me to do that anymore. How you insert multiple images and each on their own slide, I have 600 images to add and clicking insert slide and adding image is not a good way to do this.

Your Mac information is confusing;
Mac OS 10.5.2 is an outdated version of Leopard
There is no Keynote version 6.3
The latest version of Mac os X is 10.10.3
The latest version of Keynote is 6.5.3
All versions of Keynote create slides from images by drag and drop.
If you are sure this does not work, delete Keynote and re-install from the Mac App Sore.

FCP slide show with iPHOTO images

can I import an album from iPHOTO in my FCP project so I can create a slide show with FCP?
Or do I need to export the album to a folder and then import the folder in my project bin?

You need to import the photos into FCP then edit your slide show there.

PDF Printing with images

Hello all-
I was wondering if it is possible to create a PDF document with images from a report that has images, through the FOP. I have tried this on APEX 3.2.1 and APEX 4.0.1, but with no success. I installed FOP in a standalone OC4J that I have installed on my PC and this works fine. I am using the Demonstration Application to test creating the PDF with images by trying to print page 23 - it is a report with images. I get a PDF report, but the image column is blank - no image, no errors. Has anyone been able to accomplish this?

yes you can, this tool allows you to create FOP templates with images (look at the examples)

You can of course create your own FOP templates without this tool, there is a XSL-FO tag to do that, you must make sure the images are available to the print server, either by referencing images on the file system or deploying the images in the print server.
