Creating a Time Quota

I have a requirement to create a time quota with a constant value on the first day of every year.
And another time quota with a constant value on the first of Januray and first of June.
How Can this be configured so that i don't have to use the upload programs?

I have answered similar type of question before.So I am just pasting that here.
This is how you create a quota which is to be generated by the time eval.
I will try to give all the steps here.Please let me know if you need any more info.
I hope you know how to crate a quotatype with the quota grouping of your organization.
1.Create a timetype say for example 9120.(let us say 20 is your quota type).
2.then go to Timemanagement>timedata recording and adm>Managing time accounts with abs/att quotas>Calculating abs entitlements>set base entitlements.
in that create new entry for your quota type .ANd enter ESG ,PSG,Rule and sequence number .Under the Base entitlement tab,leave seniority,age and all if not needed in ur company and under the entitlement tab and under Day Balnce enter the time type you created here 9120.and select accrual period radio button.save it.
3.Timemanagement>timedata recording and adm>Managing time accounts with abs/att quotas>Calculating abs entitlements>Determine validity /deduction interval.
create a newentry with your quota type and select accrual period radio buttons.
4.Goto V_T559L table and find your quotatype or create new entry and on left hand side under dialog structure select the 2 nd folder quotatypes and find your quota type and select increase radio button and save the changes.
5.And the rest is same as the general quota configuration.

Problem in Delete Time Quota Compensation

Hi,
There is a problem in Infotype- 416 (Time Quota Compensation) with subtype - Workmen SL Encashment.
When I click on delete button, it goes in nexr screen - Delete Time Quota Compensation. From here, in Absence quotas, i want to delete 1 line item.
There is a one problem in deleting this.. system shows the message Change before earliest retro. date 01.04.2009 acc. to control rec. to py area WK.
Please let me know, what it is???

What is the beginning date of the infotype record you are trying to delete?
Please delete the payroll control record and re-create (by checking my prev message) so that the payroll period and retro period are in line with the start date of the IT.
e.g. if IT record is 01.01.2009 - 31.12.2009 --> So create the payroll record for 01.2009 period and 01.2009 retro period. Make sure status is Rel for correction.
As the infotype you're trying to delete belongs to a prior payroll period, control record acts as a shield to changes on this data since it is already used for a prior payroll calculation.

InfoType 416: Time Quota Compensation - Amount field

Hi,
transaction PA61 > Infotype 416 Time Quota Compensation > Create > Manual compensation
There is a column here called "Amount" which shows the employee's hourly rate. Currently this field is open for changes. I want to grey out this field so that it can not be changed. I think there is an option for this in customizing but i can't find it...can someone point me in the right direction?

Can an Opportunity create a Sales Quote as a followup document ?

instead of the Quote Inquiry ? This is using PI OnPrem talking to ECC.
My customer is not interested in the Quote Inquiry from the Opportunity.
Rather, they would like to create the Sales Quote as the follow-up document directly. I wonder if it's a simple document-type setup in C4C or PI mapping.
If possible, what are the high level steps to doing that ?

The quote ID is sent back via an output control type- this is described in the integration configuration guide:
Once the quote/order are created the message type COD_OPPT_CONF is called. In the integration guide – I think section 4.13 – we describe a requirement routine that must be created so that we know when to trigger the IDOC.
And yes to the other question. You'll need a workflow developer if you want to adjust the workflow.

1. In transaction VOFM, choose Requirements Output Control.
2. At the bottom of the displayed table, enter an unused number greater than 600. Assign the

Confused about the meaning of Time Quota Types

I am learning SAP-HCM on IDES 6.0. I am confused about the meaning of Time Quota Type. I have gone thru the SAP documentation, but still not clear about it. Please help me with a few examples. How is it different from Absence Type?

Absences are very generic ones that we create which needs to be reflected in IT2001 and dedcution can happen.
Absence Quotas are the limited entitlement that is fixed say ur eligible for 10 days sick leave so here this is a Quota for each year and so becomes a Quota say Sick leave Quota =10 and will be seen in IT2006.
Now an absence needs to be linked to this Quota for dedcution.
An absence can be or may not be linked to a Quota.This depends on business Requirement.

Help needed to create Quik Time VR movies, step by step

I need to create Quick time vr movies, and I need to know the exact sequance of steeps to do it, and if the starting point I use is correct.
1) I shooted a sequence of photos with my digital camera (for example: www.stebianchi.com/quicktimevrhelp/still-photo.jpg).
2) Then, with photoshop (CS4) I choose: Automate/photomerge and I select all them to joint them in a bigger 360° panoramic one (www.stebianchi.com/quicktimevrhelp/pan.jpg). If, untill here, all is correct, the first question: in photoshop Photomerge layout option, do I have to choose one voice "auto, perspective, cylindrical, spherical, etc..." rather than anoter one of these?
3) from here, I really need your help.
First of all: the great doubt:
My photos can not cover a spherical panorama, they're only a "ring" around a center (and not a spherical texture). To cover all the surface (or almost all, ok...) of my ambient, do I have to use a wider lens on my camera or there is a different solution (for ex a vertical photomerge?).
4) Done this, I think I shuold buy a software like Cubic converter, to set and export the QTVR movie. Right?

You can call your local apple store(find one on the home page of apple.com) and they will give you instructions how to convert DVD to iPod. That is what they told me, but from what I heard, you may need more than Quicktime Pro. Just call and ask them, because if you make a manual of how to do it, it could help me a lot.

Avoid from the error message: "FRM-41816: Attempt to create existing timer"

I create a timer in "on-insert" trigger in data-block level, like this:
timer_id := Create_Timer ('saving_inserting_timer' , 1 , NO_REPEAT);
in the trigger "when-timer-expired" in form level, I use this timer, like this:
timer_id := FIND_TIMER('saving_inserting_timer');
I know that I should write:
DELETE_TIMER('saving_inserting_timer');
to avoid the error message frm-41816, and I tried to write this line in a several places in the code (in both triggers). But I still get this error message.

No two timers can share the same name in the same form instance, regardless of case.

Dear all,
we face the request to provide a view on all defined Time Quotas (InfoType 2006), where only the totals will be shown.
Example: we have an overtime contingent OT
employee 1 has 10hrs
employee 2 has 20 hrs
our goal would be based on selection criteria the have list of time quoats among them we finf OT: 30hrs.
So the output sums up all quotas and outputs them anonymously.

The Java plugin has created a time unfriendly issue with my e-mail account, I can not open or send any e-mail without using this plugin, how can I eliminate this problem without dropping m. firefox?

A few days ago I tried to e-mail a friend, when I started A box came up and it required me to add a plugin..Java. I contacted my e-mail courier and microsoft, they told me that is was a plugin from Mozilla Firefox. Since then I must go through Java to send or open an e-mail... this is NOT to my satisfaction, it takes too long for all of this to open and if it is not cleared , I am dropping Mozilla and going elsewhere. Why has this occurred? Is this a result of the last update? If so can I delete the last update and continue on the other version?

It might be helpful for us if we knew exactly which web-mail provider you are using. It seems strange to me that viewing or sending web-mail would actually "need" Java for operation, its more likely that some other item on the web page needs Java to run some advertising or other garbage that isn't a necessary part of the web-mail functionality you want to use.

How to create a time counter without using Sleep()?

I want to create a time counter that would count from 120 minutes and down. I thought about using Sleep() but I have found out that Sleep() is not accurate (so maybe the countdown would take 122 minutes instead of 120 minutes!). What other alternatives do

Note that I want to count 1 second at a time, because I want to show the countdown progress to the user in seconds.

[CS3 JS] How to Create a Timer?

Within InDesign I need to be able to fire a periodic process to examine links from a JavaScript script. I have my own script running in its own engine.
I can't figure out how to create a timer that will run in the background and call the appropriate callback function periodically.
I've created a little process like this:

And this works in the sense that my timer runs, but it runs as a blocking process, which is not what I want.
Is there something I'm missing or is this simply not possible in CS3 JavaScript? A search on "timer" in the InDesign forums didn't reveal anything, nor did the InDesign JavaScript Guide nor the Scripting Tools Guide.

1. Download and install Active Page Item Developer Toolkit.

2. Create a new document, open 'Active Page Item Developer' panel (Windows menu).
3. Copy the script from my previous post, draw an object - e.g. a rectangle and with the object selected enter 'idle' into Event Filter field, then press Tab and paste the script into the largest field.
You'll see an alert appearing every 10 seconds and the cursor flickering.

It would be much better if you had separate drives for the pictures and Time Machine backups.....but, if you want to use the same drive for both purposes, temporarily move the folder with the pictures to another location for safe storage.
Run the Time Machine backup on the hard drive and verify that everything is working correctly. Time Machine will format the disk for you in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as part of the backup process.
Then move the folder with the pictures back to the hard drive with the Time Machine backups.
When you have tested to make sure that everything is working again, then and only then should you delete the folder with pictures from the temporary storage area.
Again....it would be much better to keep Time Machine backups on a drive just for that purpose, and other data on another drive for that purpose. This is clearly one of those times when the fact that you can do something does not mean to imply that you should do it.

CAN I CREATE A TIMER IN PL/SQL?

I have a project that needs to run my stored procedures on the
server side on a scheduled basis. e.g. every Monday at 3PM.
I wanted to find out if I could possibly create a timer using a
procedure in PL/SQL (not in forms) and store it also on the
server side, so whenever it's the right day and time, it will
just call the other procedures and perform whatever task it
have. How will I create it? Do you know what function I could
use? I don't want to use a PRO*C tool.

Problem in Creating Service contract Quote

Hi,
I have a problem while creating Service Contract Quote. The Problem is "No Items being created in Service Contract Quote."
I am copying these line items from the Package Quote(Programatically). I am reading the Package Quote Lines Items using CRM_ORDER_READ and I am looping these one by one, and copying into one Item Table. Passed this table, to MAINTAIN_ORDERADM_I function module. And Then I am calling SAVE function module.
But, for me service contract Quote is being created with no line items.
Can you please let me know, how can I solve this problem.
And let me know what are the necessary steps to be taken progrmtically, for creating Service Contract Quote from a Package Quote.

A standard way of doing this would be to create an action in service contract with method call processing type, and method COPY_DOCUMENT. For this you need to do the following:
1) Create a new action called "SRV_CNTRCT_QUOTE_CREATE" in action pofile already attached to Package Quote. Use
CRMC_ACTION_DEF Tcode for this.
2) Choose processing type as method call and method as COPY_DOCUMENT.
3) Choose parameter CRMD_ORDERADM_H, PROCESS_TYPE with initial value as transaction type of Serv Contract Quote.
4) Institute start and scheduled conditions if required in CRMC_ACTION_CONF.
Note: For this copying controls at transaction level, item category level and itemcat determination while copying should have been determined.
