Creating a time stamp in the graphic, NOT the file name.

InDesign has a variable feature that allows you to autogenerate certain kinds of text. I've been trying to find a way, if there is one, to do the same thing in Illustrator. At the very least I'd like to be able to add a date/time stamp to my "Draft" marks on my graphics. Is such a feature available?

Well you can use the variable feature in AI and script it or use a linked data base.

Time stamp off by two hours - in file name

When I import, I rename my files to include date and time in the filename, like so:
[IMG NR] - [YYYY]-[MM]-[DD] [HH].[MM].cr2
Here's the strange thing: If I do the renaming on import, LR3 consistently adds +2 to the hours. So an image that was taken at 06.49 will have 08.49 in the filename. And this has only happened to the photos imported with LR3 final. (Not sure about the betas, but the bug wasn't there in LR2.)
I've double checked the camera clock, and it is correct. I've checked the EXIF - which is also correct! And if I do the renaming after importing, LR3 gets it right.
I guess not many will have come across this bug, but if anyone out there has any ideas what might be going on I'm all ears.

LR has had problems with date / time since the LR1 beta. It drove me crazy and reduced me to making small dolls of all the LR engineers to stick pins in – sorry guys
I think LR seems to give preference to xmp data, probably because xmp belongs to Adobe. In digital photography the original standard EXIF, which is what cameras use, appears to be copied to xmp on import and then LR uses xmp info from then on.
I think the xmp spec adjusts the time to the local time zone and this action was built into LR. This “feature” has been largely eliminated but seems to have popped back up to bite us
Hm, well I don't know, I never write XMP. Esp. not on import. But your explanation sounds like the only reasonable one.

I have a similar problem which i did not have before...and it exists only in some powerpoint files which i want to print as a pdf file...and i get the same message as above.

Please review the following that I excerpted from an older post here regarding Adobe's PRE_help comments about Hollywood Effect and mention of
Red Noir. Does any of the following apply to any of what is happening to you.
- Whenever I try to add an effect from the Hollywood Looks menu, it brings up a warning that all my previous effects on that clip will be deleted. However it will let me add those same effects *after* applying Hollywood Looks.
This is because of how the Hollywood Looks are designed to be used. Since these are effect presets (multiple effects in combination) that result in a specific "look"; they are best applied in isolation. If any previous effect is applied and we still allow a Hollywood effect to be applied, we will not be able to see what the effect does clearly. For e.g. if you already have a Gaussian Blur effect applied to your clip, and then we allow you to apply the "Red Noir" Hollywood effect, the fact that the "Reds" in the scenes will be highlighted and the others converted to B/W will not be clearly seen since the content is already blurred out. So any previously applied effects was designed to be removed. This holds good even if you apply a Hollywood look "on top of" another one. The previous one will be replaced. Having said that, you can customize the look further by either tweaking an already applied filter or by adding a newer effect on top. That is the reason you can apply an effect on top of the Hollywood Effects and not vice versa.
Please review and consider and then we can proceed from there if necessary.

Please let me know if you have tried converting any other PDF to word with Reader.
Alos, please sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials. Click on 'ExportPDF' tab and upload the PDF that you want to convert to Word.

The XML format Premiere uses is not supported in FCPX. The only way I know of that may work is to go through FCP7 and then use 7toX to get to FCPX.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
Would you mind telling me which anti-virus package you use? It may be that it is disturbing iTunes when it tries to write out the fresh database, as it does after almost any activity with your library. I'm noticing more of this type of problem than usual and trying to see if there is any pattern. It may help to prevent a repeat of the problem if you look at the advanced options for your AV package and see if you can find a way to exclude the iTunes folder from any real-time scanning process.

I have an issue with FF. Whenever I have my mouse on the page (not the toolbar area) any selection I make gets altered in the following way:-
Text boxes - The cursor keeps moving to the left.
"Radio" buttons - Selection keeps moving up.
This is only happening in FF, I am not seeing this behaviour in Chrome or IE.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

It could be that the PDF file you're converting was created using a third-party application, and it doesn't contain all the information necessary to ensure a clean conversion. Have you had similar troubles converting other PDF files?

When i send a page from a website to my printers email address, it only prints the url not the page

I have a Photosmart D110 all in one and just bought a Asus Transformer tablet. I`ve downloaded the eprint app and every time I share a page from a website via email to my printers email address it only prints the URL not the actual webpage. Also when I click the share option it gives me the option to share with the eprint app, but when I do it say it can't read or support the file due to paper size not being selected.

Please check if the offline folder is made available offline to end users. The Offline Files feature uses the client-side cache (CSC) database. When the files are made available offline, the CSC database prevents users from changing the case of file
names.

This problem is not a pop-up. First of all the problem did not start until Yahoo changed their set up for ads in Yahoo Games.
Once it did start, the ads do not "pop-up", it is a vertical bar that is there all the time. You cannot get rid of it.
By the same token, it is not a Yahoo Problem since the problem does not exist using another server.
Yahoo says it has to do with some add-ons or plug-ins in Firefox that is causing the problem.
As you can see by the screen picture, one third of the game screen has a vertical ad area. I want to get rid of it.

If your camera has an SD memory card, use the camera connection kit & the SD card to download to the iPad. That's what I do.
Another way that will work. Download the video(s) to your computer. Then you can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
First, Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie file into the folder. The movie file must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie file should appear & you can import.
