Creating a timed intro page

Is it possible in dreamweaver to create a web page with a
timer limit on it? Basically, I have a website, but I would like to
create page, that when you enter a URL, it will go to this intro
page, and then jump to the website after a certain time, or when
you click on skip.
Is this possible? I'm using Dreamweaver 8

Creating an intro page/banner message before getting to my homepage

I want to create intro page (or banner message) that stays on screen for a few seconds before we get to my homepage. It would be great if this page didn't show in the menu bar too. I'd be really grateful if someone could tell me how to do this (without having to use flash or other software).

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That can be done. First you need to set up the first page in the web site and add the banner to it. Using the Inspector/Page/Page pane remove the page from the navbar.
After publishing the site you will need to retrieve that page's html file and add the following code to the file using a text editor like TextWrangler:
<meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="10;url=URL TO THE PAGE IN THE SITE YOU WANT TO REDIRECT TO"></head>
Put this code directly before the </head> tag as shown above. 10 is the number of seconds to delay before redirecting to the next page. You'll need to experiment to see how many seconds are required to load and play your banner before redirecting. You should also provide a text hyperlink for those who do not want to wait for the banner to play fully.
As for the banner you could create a slideshow in iPhoto (using the 16:9 format might look better than the standard 4:3 but you would have to try both and see which works better), export using the File->Export->Slideshow method and then select Medium or large. When you drag the QT file onto the iWeb page select it, go to the Inspector/Quicktime pane and check autoplay.

You can do this using a meta refresh but the problem is you have to add it to the html file for the page very time you publish changes.
A better way is to create a splash page and upload it to the server outside of the folder produced by iWeb. Example HERE.
The meta refresh is added to the head section of the html file...

The delay time in seconds is marked in blue and the URL to the redirect page is in red.

That's a very nice effect. I guess you could do that kind of thing using a 3d library like Papervision3D or Alternativa with a tweening library like Tweener. TweenLite or gTween.

I am new to SharePoint foundation.
I am trying to create a custom master page and save it as template, so that i can use it for all other sub sites. But i don't know where to start. Also i tries searching in Google, i got results for share point and not for share point foundation.
So, Please give me a step by step procedure or a link to step by step procedure on how to create a master page, save it as template and use it for a sub site.

Few points to note related to SharePoint Master page:
You don't need to create master page template. If you deploy your master page in site collection level you can reuse the same master page in subsites without copying again and again, rather just by referencing
You have not mentioned how you are going to deploy your master page. If you have any Visual Studio (VS) solution already, try to add your master page in the VS solution and deploy your master page (and other branding components) as SharePoint WSP
solution.
Deploying master page will not activate the master page, you need to use some kind of 'Web Level Feature' to activate your branding - the feature will basically set the master page property of SharePoint site to your custom master page.

I created a newsletter using pages on my IPAD3. I can see see it...the icon is till there but when I tap it to open it, I get kicked out of pages.   Tried rebooting and I can open other documents, but not this one. Any ideas?

I created a newsletter using pages on my IPAD 3. All of a sudden I can no longer open that document.   When I click on it, it throws me out of pages all together. I can open other pages documents, but not that one. It is very frustrating to be able to SEE the file, but not open it.
I rebooted and I do have icloud back-up on but am not sure how to restore an older version. I also made sure there are no updates for pages.   Until the IPAD I used a home PC which I still have but am trying to wean myself off of. I wish now I had used MS Publisher on my PC for the newsletter even though I hate it.
Please don't tell me I have lost my Newsletter and 20 hours worth of work.

Try resetting your iPad. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for 7 or 8 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
I'm assuming your default is to save Pages documents to iCloud, and that you had a good WiFi connection when you closed Pages the last time you tried to save the document.

How can I create links to other pages in iBooks that will function in PDF?

I know some people have asked previously how to create links to other pages of their book within iBooks. I having an issue with this myself that I haven't been able to resolve. I am able to create the links, and they seem to function within the program, however, once I export the document as a PDF file (the format in which I need to have this ebook!), the links seem to be non-functional. Does anybody have a fix for this?

Exporting as a PDF does alter/lose/remove certain functions. Adobe Acrobat has its own page navigation system.
A lot of the hidden engine of iBooks Author is basically very similar to building a website! so links and books marks are an "internal" function.
IF you have Acrobat and not just the Adobe Reader, you can make links. I have never needed to try, but I see a working link related index in the many software manuals I have.

Have your page in the visual design mode then go to the Design->Page Properties menu and you'll be able to select auto-bind on the second tab.

The object COM_PRDCAT_WEB_API which you mentioned is the package, i think its available only in 701 release.
Goto SMW0 , press F8, you can see the SAP web repository objects.

it´s impossible (for me) to open Pages 5 documents in Pages 4, which is absolutely no go. You can open any f..... word.doc but no pages 4.
Apple is getting worser every day, it´s a shame. There is no information about this before you buy it.
So now you have to ask your friends or colleagues to convert a pages 5 document to a word document, so you can open it with pages 4. Hoiw ridiculous is that?
Pages 5 is a joke. In 5.0 they forgot to manage the task-bar, which came shortly after 4 weeks or so in 5.1.
The only good: you can run ist parallelly to pages 4.3 but it´s not worth the money.

I was creating a bunch of content areas and suddenly I've got the following error message:

An unexpected error occurred: ORA-00001: unique constraint (PORTAL30.WWNLS_STRI_PK) violated (WWC-51004)
Error while creating layout for the page. (WWC-44283)

i think at this time you have to create a new group.
here is information, how important this group is:
Do not remove all authenticated users from this group. Because Master Page Gallery and Style Library are shared across all sites in the
site collection and must be accessible to all users of all sites. If you remove all authenticated users from the group, anyone with this permission level on a subsite will not be able to render the site. SharePoint will not automatically add or remove users
of subsites to or from this group as needed.

to recreate the group .
a new "All Users" group can be created. When you go to add users, there's a link to include all authentcated
users. Click that link and click OK.
once the group is created...add newly created group into "Master pages and page layouts" and Style
Library( Themes) as reader...
