Creating albums in photos, pictures disappear in album?

When selecting photos on iPad to move to album folder, the selected photo appears and then instantly disappears in the album. what is going on?

I use a Windows PC and for me, it is working as such:
Folder A is the main sync folder. B, C, D are the first level of subfolders within Folder A. Folders X, Y & Z are sub-sub-folders contained within subfolder C.
The albums shown in the ipad photo app are all single level albums of A, B, C, D, X, Y & Z.
Note: Folder A contains no photos, only subfolders.

You have 20 separate forests you're synchronizing with?
You do need to run Update-SPProfilePhotostore. Consider it part of the synchronization process and schedule it appropriately via Task Scheduler.

  • How do I create albums and upload pictures from my PC to my iCloud Photo Library?

  • Photo subpages disappearing from album page in iWeb 2009

One of the pages of my website is an album page. Theoretically, an album page should allow multiple photo subpages. Initially my album had two photo subpages. Now, however, I want to add additional subpages.
The problem I'm encountering is that these new subpages keep disappearing. Every time I quit and reopen iWeb, the original two subpages and any subpages created in the last session are present, but any subpages created in earlier sessions have disappeared. The disappeared subpages show up in the column of created pages on the left-hand side of iWeb, but they do not appear in the album page, and all photo content for the subpages has disappeared (although formatting and text boxes are unchanged).
I've tried multiple strategies to get around the disappearing page problem: duplicating existing album subpages, adding a new page within the album, adding a new page outside the album and then dragging it into the album, deleting the iWeb plist file and restarting the computer the page.
Any ideas how to fix this?

  • Can i order my pictures and creat albums via nokia...

hi ,can i creat albums and put my pictures in albums in my phone 6720  with nokia pc suite?

There are two ways to get rid of them on your iPhone:
    1.  Get rid of them on your computer, and then sync your iPhone to your computer using iTunes.
    2.  Plug your iPhone into your computer, open iTunes, click on your iPhone's row on the left, go to the "Photos" tab on the top right, and uncheck "Sync Photos", then click "Apply" in the lower right.

  • After Album Creation, All pictures disappeared!

    Hi there,
    The situation is quite strange!
I just finished organizing under different new albums, my thousand (~1000) pictures that where only stored under my Events Photo Library.
I closed my mac and when I started it up back on line, I went to my iPhoto ... and All the albums and pictures where missing... I just had under my eyes a "grey" screen with the common left bar entries (Events, Faces,...) completely empty and no more albums any more where visible.
I searched the web and found out some similar issues suggesting to use iPhoto Library Manager to "rebuild" the library.
I downloaded the software, ran it to rebuild a New Library. I discovered that my library was still there but ... with only a part of my pictures. No signs of my previously created albums!!!
I had some 2006 pictures, some of my 2010 pictures but all of my 2009 ones where simply vanished!! And this in both my "crashed" library and off course in the rebuilded one.
I used my terminal to "ls" the content of my "Originals" folder under both my "crashed" and "rebuild" library ... but no signs of my 2009 pictures.
Does someone encountered a similar issue?
If yes ... any clues about the restoration of these vanished pictures are mostely welcome because ... I let you guess ... I've no backup (just for info ... I do have one now .
I would like to understand how this is possible.
    Thanks

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. iPhoto Library Manager uses the AlbumData.xml file to rebuild the library. If it's damaged it won't get all of the photos either.
First launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed to rebuild the original library. Select the last three options.
You can open the library package like this to check the contents of the Originals folder. There's no way iPhoto could delete the photos by itself. If the photos were in there before closing they should be somewhere in the Originals folder now.
Are you running a managed library, i.e. copy the photo into the library upon import?
    Where is/was the library located?

  • I just imported 70 photos successfully, edited them, and then attempted to upload them to a Facebook album.  It did not work and got hung up, so I force quit IPhoto and was going to try again.  The 70 photos have DISAPPEARED!!  Help !!!!

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

If you synced the Photos from your computer to your phone, you have to unsync the pictures via iTunes.
Summary Pane > Photos > Uncheck "Sync Photos from ..."

  • How do I create a new photo album on iPad2 with o.s. 6.1?

I have an iPad 2 with software version 6.1.  When I try to create a new photo album, no keyboard appears when the "Enter a name for this album" box comes up.  What am I doing wrong? How do I enter the name of the new album?

I just retried adding a new photo album, and my problem seems to have fixed itself.  If I have any future trouble with the keyboard not appearing, I'll try the tapping trick.  Thanks, Tgara!

Do you have access to the phone? Is the phone is locked with a passcode (Usually 4 digit number)?
If you are referring to the Apple ID, it is irrelevant whether the email that was originally used is active or not. You will still use the email "name" as that IS the AppleID/username. If you have forgotten the password, you can reset it here:

How do I create a "place" in iPhoto's Places list? Is this possible the way it's possible to create albums? Also, how do I assign a place to a photo or vice versa?

Select a Photo in the iPhoto Window and click on the 'i' button lower right. This uncovers the Info Panel, and you can assign a Place there. Search on the name of the place and then move the pin to where you want it. This is all covered in the Help and in the tutorials.

  • Creating Albums in the Photo App

How do I create albums in the photo app on my iPad if I don't have a Mac or pc to sync to?

With iOS 5+ you should get an Edit button at the top of the Albums screen in the Photos app which lets you create new albums, and you can then copy your photos into those new albums - the photos are only copied or pointed to by those new albums, so if you delete the original photo on your iPad then it is also deleted from all albums that you've copied it into.
