Creating an anchor option on the same page

I'm creating a Auto Detailing website for my business and it's full of packages and options. I would like to create an anchor to link of the same page, that way I don't have my potential clients scrolling through the long webpage.
I'm very new to web design so bare with me

Anchors is not an iWeb option - it can be done but it is not simple at all - can be quite complex and means inserting text boxes and lots of linking.
If you don't want people scrolling though long web pages, don't make them long - split between several pages.
If you really want to do anchors, then search this site for Anchors and I am sure lot of posts will come up. You can also look on YouTube and put in Anchors in iWeb and something will come up there too.
If I were you, I would not bother - just keep your web pages shorter.

Hello there!
Here is one way to create a duplicate image and colorize it. As you can see below, I have one image right now, that I want to duplicate.
My layers panel looks like below.
To duplicate your image, click the downward arrow on the right side of your Layer Panel.
Select Duplicate Layer. This will duplicate the layer that the image is on.
Select "OK" to approve the duplication.
As you can now see in the Layers panel, the image is duplicated. The new layer is now at the top of the Layer panel.
Now to colorize your image, go to Window > Adjustments.
The Adjustments panel will now be opened. Select the Hue and Saturation icon as seen circled in red.
The Hue and Saturation propertied panel will be opened. I selected "Colorize", and adjusted the hue and saturation bar to achieve the level red in my photo.
As you can see below, the image is now red.
Now i want to make sure only ONE of my image layers is red. I moved the Hue and Saturation layer to only be on top of the bottom layer. The image on the top layer now will not be affected by the red.
Select the move tool, so I can now move the image layers so we can see both of them.
With each image layer selected, you can take the move tool and move the images. I moved mine on top of eachother and you can see my red layer (bottom) and the non red layer (top).

How to create hyperlinks to places on the same page?

This is the question really. I want to have a list of topics at the top of a page as hyperlinks which would then direct readers to an appropriate place on the page (e.g. for FAQ page: list of questions first - as links to the places on the page where they are answered). Is it possible with iWeb?

Although not a smooth method Peter Berglund uses HTML snippets to simulate anchors on web pages. He describes his method in his blog here: How to use Anchors in iWeb.
If you don't have a lot of other widgets on your page it's fairly easy to implement. With other widgets for other purposes it's more difficult but can be done.

I am creating a new Web Application. This contains a dropdown with 2 reports to select.
When the user selece report from the dropdown list, it has to display both Table and Chart for the report.

Go to Dropdown web item properties and choose your report and use Before Command and use OPEN_CHART_DIALOG. You may try with After Command also.

How do create different link attributes on the same page

I am using CSS links for my menu. The links are white, large and bold, but I want an email link to be a different color, font and smaller in size. How can I do this?

Ok just use a class for the email link....
put a span around that email link
<span class="class_name"><a>email link</a></span>
then in the css place the class
.class_name{
color:red;
If this doesnt work then that means the class needs to be more specific example
span .class_name{

I have a date column and I am trying to create 2 dashboard prompts on the same page one as from date and the other one as to date.Is this possible to create.When I am trying to create it is giving me error like cannot use same column for creating the prompt

Can you create an image map that will link to a different element on the same page?

I have used image maps before and know how to create an image map to link to a new page. In this case, however, I want to be able to click on my image using an image map and load a new image with text on the same page as the image map. Is this even possible? Is there some sort of behavior that allows you to create same-page links, perhaps using AP divs? I want the end result to be a type of gallery that loads different images depending on where you click on the main image.
Again, I don't even know if this is possible. Any suggestions on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated.

When going to a # link in the same page, Firefox 4 seems to jump to the wrong spot, and I have to scroll to find the actual anchor, usually one screen down.

Visiting the Apple developer site, pages have a task list at the top of a very long page. When I click on a task which is linked to an anchor on the same page, the screen briefly flashes up the intended topic, then redraws content about a screen above what I wanted, so I have to scroll down to the topic I wanted to read.

It happens when I open the topic in a new tab. There's a sidebar that's not drawn when the initial flashup happens. Then the sidebar draws and the content gets pushed down so the topic I wanted is now below the visible screen.
When I jump to the anchor in the original tab, the sidebar is already there, and it goes to the right topic.

I can no longer (since upgrading to the latest firefox) open up multiple tabs of the same page (something I need to be able to do when emailing and referencing multiple emails while writing one email). The only option it gives me is to 'switch to tab'.

I'll try to make this clear. I USED to be able to left click on a hyper link and the hyper link would open in a NEW tab. Now for some unknown reason the hyper link by default opens in the same tab (window). I have to right click the hyper link in order for it to open in a NEW tab. (Yes, my 'tools'> 'options'> 'tabs' are set to "open new windows in a new tab." (Please no answers telling me to get rid of the Ask toolbar because I don't have one.) Thank you.

can someone please guide me through creating several links to different files on the same page. In other words, I am creating a photo page where my links are called Gallery 1, Gallery 2, etc... I would like to create links so when the User clicks on Gallery 1, they see Gallery 1 slide show in the frame; when the user then clicks Gallery 2, then they see Gallery 2 slide show in the window.
My slide show files are done and I am using GoLive CS2. I have no knowledge of JavaScript or ActionScript/Flash.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

create multiple albums on the same page. Do a Google search for the
address. It's easy, inexpensive, and it works. I tried to do this
with the Photo Gallery in DW and FireWorks--but couldn't get it
right. CC uses Flash and Javascript.

Creating pages 2 up (of the same page) in a PDF from Indesign

I'm working in CS2.
My Indesign document size is 3x4" and I want to create a PDF with 2 up pages to print on letter size paper BUT what I'm after is 2 copies of the SAME page. I keep getting pages 1 and 2 of the document on the same page which isn't what I'm after (using the page layout in the print dialog box).
I also need the crop marks and bleeds. I know its possible as I was someone else do it last year.
Does anyone know how to do this?

The step and repeat could probably be scripted. You might ask in the InDesign Scripting forum if someone has already created such a script. Or, you could pay a scripter to write one for you.
It can't be done in the native application that I'm aware of.

Linking to an anchor within the same page

Anyone know how to link to an anchor within the same page?
For instance, im making a FAQ page. at the top of the page I would like to list all the questions. i would like the viewer to be able to click a question which brings them to the answer on the bottom of the page.
looked in inspector couldn't find it. linking to anchors is pretty basic, so id be really suprised if iweb doesn't have this feature. so im assuming im missing it.......

Linking to an anchor within the same page is no more than scrolling to it, and can be (easily) emulate with javascript window.scroll function.

Auto collapse a mobile accordion menu when clicking links to anchors on the same page

I'm building a mobile site, with the accordion widget containing the a menu widget, pinned to the top (i added custom css to pin it to the top).
its a single page site, so all the links are to anchors in the same page.
how can I make the accordion close when clicking the links in the menu?
