Creating an Extras menu selection

Hello there,
I was wondering if anybody can help me with this.
I want to create an Extras menu select option on the title menu of my film. Here will be extra footage and other bonus material.
Firstly, I understand how the menu markers and scene markers work, but am confused on how to achieve this set up.
My extras footage are in seperate projects to the main film. My first attempt was exporting the extras footage and placing into
the main project where my feature film is and added it on to the end, placing a menu marker at the start of the extras footage.
This worked, but I obviously dont want the extra footage to play directly after the film once its finished, but will do as its in the same project as the feature film.
I hope that makes sense?
basicly this is what options I need on the main menu screen:
-Feature Film > Play
-Extras > (once selected the following options are avaliable in the extras menu)
>Bonus footage
>Making of
>Interviews with cast and director
So its set up is typical to most dvds today. If anyone knows how to achieve this please get in touch, or at least tell me if its possible or not.

It is correct to put all your footage into the project timeline. What you must do is to use the 'Stop' marker at the end of the your main film. The stop marker returns you to the main menu so will not automatically play your extras.
However do NOT put a stop marker at the very end of the timeline - PRE automatically returns to the menu at the very end of the timeline and adding a stop marker there usually crashes the encoding process.

I'm using Premiere Elements 11. Is it possible to create a DVD menu for automatic play of selected scenes? As an example, my movie may have 12 scenes. However, I would like to give the user the capability to play scenes 2, 4, 6, & 12, without interruption (or the need to go back to the menu).

I also think that your workaround can work for this instance, unless I mis-read the requirements.
As for Encore, as of EncoreDVD 2.0 (CS 2 Production Studio in my case), Encore CS 5, CS 5.5 and CS 6 (the end of the line for Encore), it can do that easily.
Now, I am only guessing with Sony's DVD Architect, but would hope that it can do the same. Maybe Steve Grisetti can comment, since he "wrote the book" on that program.
As we all know, PrE has many authoring limitations. First, they are semi-automatic, and very linear. That said, for most users, it works just fine. However, there are many, fairly common navigation schemes, that just do not directly figure into what it can do.
The downside to a full-featured authoring program, is that that "semi-automatic" work will not be done - one must do things by hand, but with that extra work, comes vast power. To me, that is a small trade-off. I will go for "power" any day. Of course, as I normally use Encore, I am used to doing much by hand, so it's just part of my authoring scheme.
I wish that I knew Sony's DVD Architect better, but I have used Encore for so long, that I have never found a need to even look at it. All that I know has come from here, or Muvipix, where it always gets great recs. Since Encore is no longer part of Adobe, I have the choice to either stick with my versions, or look to another authoring program. Over the years, I have used Encore, Sonic Scenarist (never owned it myself, but authored on other's systems, since it cost about US $50K), and DVD Studio (good, but with a clunky interface). Encore was my go-to app., but then, it will be no more.

Any way to create a simple report selection menu for end user?

Hello. We purchased two full versions of Crystal Reports 2008, version 12.3.1.684. One copy is for me, where I create reports and the second copy is for an end user who runs them. I would like to create a basic menu so when he starts his copy of Crystal Reports it will open with this simple report menu. Is there a way to do this?

I would suggest you invest in small viewer tools for your user. The viewers can house the reports you create and your user can view them without accidently affecting the design structure of your report. With some viewers, you can even customize the report menu. You can begin with this website:

I created an extra iTunes library for my wife and now i can't find either of them

I created an extra iTunes library for my wife by following the instructions on Apples website and everything was working perfect. So when I opened iTunes i could select whether i was using her phone or mine.
Everything was perfect then today I have turned my Macbook on as I wanted to transfer a CD onto my phone. I plugged my phone in and selected iTunes then selected "choose iTunes library" I can not find either iTunes folders anywhere. I have been searching my Macbook for the last two hours and can't find anything anywhere.
Can anybody help???

Try this...
Quit the Mac App Store if it's open. From the menu bar App Store/ Quit App Store. Or Command + Q on your keyboard.
Launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: *Reset warnings and Reset cache*. Now go back to the menu bar and click Store / Sign Out.
Try the MAS. If you still have problems, follow the paths here. ~ (Tilde) represents your Home folder.
~/Library/Caches.com.apple.appsstore./Cache.db. Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.appstore.plist and com.apple.storeagent.plist files to the Trash.
~/Library/Cookies. Move the com.apple.appstore.plist and the Cookies.plist files to the Trash.
Restart your Mac. Relaunch the MAS. Try again.

Can't read that jumble, but suggest you look at the excellent SALV tutorials by Rich Heilman by searching for SALV tutorial on SCN. You'll find working code and how-to for adding your own functions to SALV.

How do I create a context menu in the new ALV object model (cl_salv_table)?

PS: In the past we could use event CONTEXT_MENU_REQUEST in class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID, so it must be possible

I don't think there's "any such animal" in the new class. I'm not 100% certain however but the new class is only useful for fairly simple display only type grids.
There's no edit capability either.
I'd stick with cl_gui_alv_grid until there's some decent extra functionality in the cl_salv_table class.
It's fine for quick "bog standard" displays as it doesn't need a field catalog or any screens to be created by the user or developer - but you pay a price for that in limited fnctionality.

Create an context menu item to open a file on a specific display

Hello,
I have an external display connected to my MBP, but I don't always need to use it so it's not always on. I'd like to have a way to open a file (or application) on a specified display on a case by case basis. I know that I can assign an application to open on a specific display by right-clicking on the app in the dock and selecting options->assign to. The problem with this is that it's a global change. When I'm working on school work, I usually like to have reference material (pdfs, wepages, etc) open on the external display while I'm working in Word on the MBPs monitor.
What I'd like to be able to do is right click on the file (or app) and use a context menu item to open the item on a specific display. Does anyone know of an automator action/applescript/terminal command to create a context menu item like this?

Creating a DVD menu, how do I compress videos?

I'm going to be creating a DVD menu on DVD studio pro for an assignment, but I don't know how to use Compressor. I was wondering if anyone can help me on how to compress videos (main menu, chapter selection menu, transition, etc) on Compressor before importing them to DVD studio pro? What format do I compress videos into (mpeg 2, mpeg 4. etc)?

Essentiallly: Create your menu in DVDSP. Bring your movie into Compressor as the source file. Select one of the DVD presets (90 minutes best quality is good). Submit for encodimg and then bring the output files into DVDSP.
Clearly, you need to know the fundamentals to do much of this…and learning those from these forums is not very practical The Apple Pro user manuals are very well done. Get acquaninted with them amd you'll be glad you did.

File Upload/Menu Select Option

I have a form that needs to have a combination of a file

In this case, I think you might need to
1) Create a transient attribute in the VO.
2) Either create a method in AM to get the file id based on the attachment entity name/id(using PL/SQL) and set the view attribute accordingly
or call a PL/SQL procedure to get the file id in the getter method of the transient attribute.

Problem with "Create New Extrusion from Selected Layer" CC 2014

Hello, I'm experienced with Photoshop but am new to 3D text in Photoshop. I type in some text and convert to a shape. When I choose Create New Extrusion from Selected Layer I get dialog box I don't see in any tutorials. It says "You are about to create a 3D layer. Would you like to switch to the 3D workspace? Yes/No, Don't show again." Which should I use for 3D text?
If I choose Yes, all the panels go away and the content in the tool options bar (ribbon?) just under the menu bar go away. I have to restart Photoshop to get the tool options back. What could I be doing wrong?

I just chose "No" and didn't look back. I like my workspace just as it is, and don't prefer Photoshop to change it for me under this particular case.
You can make the 3D panel visible yourself via Window - 3D. I find it's a good alternate for the Actions panel, as I don't have any actions at the moment that work in the 3D world.
The panels you'll want to see easily if you work on 3D are the 3D panel and the Properties panel, among a few others.
Regarding getting your workspace back the way you like it... Note the little selector near the upper-right corner of the Photoshop main window. That can be used to select a workspace. I suggest you experiment and get familiar with the concept of workspaces. You can define your own and save it with a name, and that truly can be helpful.

Go to SE41-> Program Name -> Give PF Status(ZTEST) name
I think your requirement it to create Application Tool bar.
Expand the node Application Tool Bar -> give the desired name for *Function Code(ZSTATUS)* and double click on it. It will ask for Functional Type- leave it blank. Give some text in the Functional texts and Info Text. If you want to a icon to be displayed then select the icon from the dropdown. In the program you need to write code for this Function Code .
Ex. SET-PF Status 'ZTEST'.

Programmatically simulate the Get Menu Selection vi

Hi,
I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 base version (no event handling). I have created a custom RTM (Run-Time Menu) and use the Get Menu Selection vi wired to a Case structure to handle all the items. (Part of the handling it to put a check mark next to the selected menu item and clearing the check mark from all other items using the Set Menu Item Info vi. Too bad it doesn't do that automatically. Maybe it does in newer versions, but I digress.)
My application can save and recall setups. When I recall a setup I would like to programmatically call the respective Case, as is done by the Get Menu Selection vi, even though the menu is not actually clicked by the user. I cannot find a way to do this. Is is possible?

I'd take that a step further and say there is no convenient way to write software without the event structure. I don't know how people write code without it. This limitation has been removed and the event structure comes with all versions of LabVIEW as of 2012.

With that you can call a subVI that will invoke the Alt+F or whatever to open menus.

How to create a sub menu for the transaction se38

Hi All,
I have created menu item in se38 using menu exit.
By using the enhancement SEU00002 .
That menu item is displayed under utilities menu bar.
But i am unable to create sub menu for that.
My requirement is to create sub menu to the custom menu item.
How can we create a sub menu to the transaction se38.

it looks like that user exit SEU00002 offers only one extra function +CUS. This function then calls FM EXIT_SAPMS38E_010. Hence I do not think that it is possible to create sub menu with this user exit.
Anyway you can try to modify SAP standard. You need to modify menu for SE38 and then add your code for handling new function codes. You can easily find where you will have to add your code for handling functions from your sub menu. You just need to look for usages of the FM EXIT_SAPMS38E_010.

i want to create a reports menu, so that user click on the report name to access the report. i have save all the reports in a database table and display as an interactive report on main page.
how can i link relevant reports to each row of the table

Hi,
I assume that your apex_reports_users table have two entries,
1. Employee.
2. Department.
You have created an interactive report based upon the above table's output and i assume that page number as 1.
Now what you need to do is,
Step 1 : Create a new page - Say Page 2.
Step 2 : Create a hidden item :P2_HREPNAME in Page 2.
Step 3 : Create a new interactive report in Page 2 for the table Employee.
select 'Employee' COL1 from emp where :P2_HREPNAME = 'Employee'
union all
select 'Department' COL1 from dept where :P2_HREPNAME = 'Department'You have to manage the above sample query as per the requirement.
After creating the above page, go to page 1 which is having the Report Names in an Interactive Report.
Step 1 : Click on the Interactive Reports Region.
Step 2 : Click on the Report Attributes tab.
Step 3 : Edit the REPORT_NAME column.
Step 4 : Click on the Link Tab.
Step 5 : Give the Link Text.
Step 6 : Select "Page in Application" as the Target.
Step 7 : Select "2" as the Target Page Number.
Step 8 : Give the Item 1 as P2_HREPNAME
Step 9 : Give the value as #REPORT_NAME#
Step 10 : Click on Apply Changes.
Now execute the application.
Follow the above process for all the reports.
