Creating an online journal

I would like to create an online journal so that my users can
sign in to get a username and password and then keep a daily
diary/journal. Does anyone know of a good plugin that I could use
to do this or a good place to start?

I would agree with Pete here that Blog software is the best
option. This is what I was going to lead into.

You can use 'File Attachment' option in the form which will allow the user to attach documents to the application.

Aperture 3 supports the creation of web pages - you have web journals, web pages, smart web pages. The smart webpages are articulately convenient, because you can define smart rules for the content. All web products have an initial overview page with thumbnails of each image and clicking one of the thumbnails will take you to a details page with the image enlarged. Then you can view the individual images a s a slideshow.
But since the demise of Mobile Me you cannot publish directly to a web server. You will need to export your web projects to a folder in the Finder and upload them to a FTP site, for example the FTP server of your internet provider. This is easy to do with tools like CyberDuck.
Aperture 3's faces feature will help you to tag the faces and find images of each person quickly. You can refer to faces names in smart albums or smart webpages with rules like "Faces is ..."
So you could create a smart web page based on a rule "keyword is 'family_tree" and "Face is 'grandpa'" or similar.
But there is no automatic option to create a journal of all the best of all faces images of each faces stack. You will have to select the images to be included in the journal yourself, by creating an album or creating rules for a smart album.

How do I create an online PDF form that can be filled out by recipient?

I have Create PDF Online and am wondering how I go about creating a document that can be filled out by a recipient. This would be regarding a questionaire type form where I would ask questions and the recipient fills in the answers. I know I have received these in the past from other people, but do not know how to do this myself. I don't know if this is even possible with CREATE PDF ONLINE or if I need to purchase a special Adobe software package in order to do this.

Mysteriously added text downloading to Acrobat Create PDF Online

Working on Acrobat.com's create an online pdf web page I
downloaded a Word Document from my pc to Acrobat.com and opened the
Word document (on Acrobat's web site) to find the document
different than the original Word document on my pc.
The Word document (as well as the pdf conversion displayed
next to it) on the Acrobat.com web page mysteriously had an added
line of text showing a previously unknown date (January 9, 2006)
inserted before the body of the original text but under the
original page header. The font also looked slightly different
throughout the body and header of the document and the document
itself was extended to 3 pages long instead of 2. In the conversion
the now added 3rd page also mysteriously included the standard
header and footer and renumbered the first two pages to include
this new 3rd page (page x of 3) in the footer.. When I went back to
the original Word document on my pc nothing was added or changed.
I downloaded another Word document with a different page
header from the same pc to the Acrobat webpage and while that
document looks graphically slightly different there was no text
added.
It seems that there must be some sort of embedded legacy date
code or script at the beginning of the Word document that while not
visible in either the reveal codes side pane, or showing up in any
way when working or printing the document in Word is somehow
revealed in the text of the document when downloaded to the Acrobat
site even before its converted to a pdf file.
How can I manage this?

I am using Windows XP Professional O/S and Firefox as my
browser. I get that the font options will change the file as opened
at Acrobat that may change the layout,
but,....
how do you explain the mysterious extra date 'string' that
appeared at the start of the word document as it showed up at
Acrobat's website?
Since this is standard out of the box Word and included fonts
(garamond 12) why does this do this.

How do I select and format fonts when creating a web Journal in Aperture?

I am creating a web journal in Aperture 3.5.1. There is a not very functional way to create text boxes and add text interspersed with images.
I can open the font window, but highlighting text and formatting it in the font window has no effect.
In addition, the size of the font actually changes from paragraph to paragraph for no apparent reason.
How do I format text when creating a web journal?
After I have created the web site, I can open the html file and edit the source code, but this is very tedious.

There is a picture in picture function in iMovie'09 - but very basic and
to move around in a photo You got the "Ken-Burns effect".
Still to do this with 100% control there are only two good alternatives
• QuickTime Pro ($30 QT-Pro update) - Hard to use very demanding
• FinalCut Express ($199) - Hard to get up and running
(Steap learning curve to start with) - Then Pic in pic is dead easy.

I want to create an online examination form where user get 20 objective type question:
Problems :
1. Whenever a user login he/she will get randomly 20 questions from a bank of 100 questions with options.
2. When he submit the answers we will check for correct answers and find out the score say like if each question carry 5 marks and if he has 10 correct answer then his score is 50.

Steps to create a budget Journals

I am struggling to create a budget journals and i need some helps.
I have defines my budget and budget organisation but when i go to budget journals to create a new Budget journal hit cant do it.
Am sure am missing a couple of steps along the way.

Also what and why combination accounts so important?<My friend, if you don't know the anwer to this question you are really in trouble. Almoust all Oracle General Ledger functions have to do with account combinations. Journals, balances, budgets, etc. are stored in the database with a reference to the CCID (code combination id).
But let's see your problem again.
Please check again in Accounts/Combinations if the combination exists and if the flag Enabled, Allow Budgeting and Allow Posting are all enabled. Then check each one of the segment values to see if they are enabled and none of them has an end date on it. Also check if each segment has the 'Allow Budgeting" field set to 'Yes'.
Let me know your findings.

You need to use form fields. See the Acrobat help section and this site: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/
However, that last part (receiving an automatic response when a form is submitted) has nothing to do with Acrobat, or even with the PDF file. This is something you'll need to set up on your web (or email) server.

PSB - Create GL Budget Journals Error

We tried to transfer a PSB worksheet but are now getting an error:
"Budget worksheet 7841 has already been posted for GL period Sep-10."
I look at PSB_WORKSHEETS but the worksheet is no longer there - so I'm not sure what to do.

i am creating a game and i would like to write a high score chart that is online for everyone to share their achievements. anybody would like to teach me how?

am i right to say that after creating a server (any book you would recommend that teaches how to create the server step by step?) is able to receive and store the information (highscore etc.) i could also use it to create games where people can compete against each other through the server? how about if i want to create an online mini store in the app that uses real money to purchase? does these transactions also go through apple? or can i direct those funds straight to my bank account (and how do i go about these transections)?

actually the site uses flash to present the form for filling. i tried building such a form using flash but its too complicated, im sure there is a much easier way.
say i create a editable form using Acrobat Pro, how would i go about embedding it into the webpage ? and allowing for it to be printed but not saved (the flash solution wrapps the form in a flash file therefor not allowing for a user to save it as a PDF file.
is there a way to do this ?
