Creating another web page

When I open I-web it opens my website (www.taffyproductions.com). I have been asked to create another web site. How do I create another website and be able to access either one down the road. I-web doesn't act like normal applications, in that it seems to only access one project at a time.
Thanks for anyone that can help!

iWeb stores your website information in a domain file located in Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb.
A new site can be created on the same domain file by selecting New Site from the iWeb File menu.
It is better to start your new site on a separate domain file so that you can load your sites in to iWeb, work on them and publish them individually.
See this page for ways of doing it.....
http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWebMultiplewebsites.html
Once you have published your website you cannot import these files back into iWeb. Therefore it is essential to backup your domain file(s) regularly - preferably to an external drive.

    This is to do with the .htaccess file on your server.
    You either need to deal with this and open it with an html editor or change your web host.
    Do a search of this forum and there are plenty of posts that relate to parse error and .htaccess pages.  Have a look on the right hand side of this post and you will see similar ones like yours.

  • Creating a web page in Fireworks CS3

    When I create a web page in Fireworks CS3 and export it the

    center of the screan. How do I make it centered? I know that if I

    the page in that program but how do I do it in Fireworks?

    Look at NVu which is free and does a very decent job. I tried
    it when it
    was only in beta and it was promising although it couldn't
    get me to
    switch from Dreamweaver. I haven't used the final version but
    I'm
    certain it will give you better results than using Fireworks'
    rigid and
    easily breakable exported HTML and certainly a lot better
    than FrontPage.

    This is because, despite its flaws (and they are severe),
    Fireworks'
    exported code is less proprietary and more cross browser
    compatible than
    FrontPage's. I believed that later versions of FrontPage
    created better
    code but your story proves once again that no visual Web
    "design"
    application that falsely promise WYSIWYG is a substitute for
    learning
    the basics of Web design and development and getting your
    hands dirty in
    HTML and CSS code to understand how things work. Web design
    is certainly
    not only about the visuals and any designer who thinks he can
    get away
    with only creating Web sites visually without the need for a
    working
    knowledge of the underlying code is seriously delusional (not
    saying
    this is your case).
    I do not mean you need to create your sites' code in NotePad
    (which is
    completely inefficient IMO). But you do need to understand
    how things
    work under the hood to make the right decisions in your
    editor and be
    able to fix problems. WYSIWYG is a pipe dream. Don't buy into
    it.
    Until you can afford something like Dreamweaver, NVu could
    serve your
    needs as it offers a source code view and apparently creates
    decent code
    out of the box. Learning to code HTML and CSS in a more text
    based
    application may be better for you in the long run if you are
    serious
    about learning this craft properly though. I'm sorry that I
    cannot point
    you to specific learning resources as it's been years since I
    was a
    beginner in this field and learned from too many sources. If
    there is
    one book I could recommend that I wish had been around when I
    started
    out in early 1996, it would be Zeldman's "Designing with Web
    Standards".
    This could be one of the smartest investment you make right

  • Help please:  Clicking an image to launch another web page?

    I have some images on a JSC created page. I'd like to give the user the ability to click on the images and have another web page brought up that shows a larger version of the image they clicked on.
    How can this be done?
    I know how to do it using a button that would sit under each image that would then launch another page that holds another image in a larger format, but is there a way to do this without using the button?
    The image does have the onclick JavaScript property, so I suppose that it could be used in some fashion, but I was thinking that maybe there was a way to integrate this with the page navigation built in to JSC (although looking at it I cannot see how).
    So, is it just a JavaScript thing needed (I'll try to look up how on the Internet if so) or is there a built in JSC way?

    Did you have a solution? You quoted my original message but didn't add anything to it.
    Anyway, I'm adding a few Duke Dollars to see if that will elicit some responses.
    Maybe this just cannot be done, and we need a new version (one that works with action events) of the HtmlGraphicImage that Creator provides.

    It depends on your settings for how you copy/paste. See your
    PREFERENCES
    for those. I don't get such things because my settings are
    'tight' in that
    they are restrictive to what stying is carried into the page.
    > How I do this in a nav bar?
    Change this -
    .nav {
    font: bold normal 14px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    text-transform: none;
    color: #003300;
    font-weight: bold;
    a.nav:link {
    font: normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    text-transform: none;
    color: #003300;
    text-decoration: none;
    a.nav:visited {
    font: normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    text-transform: none;
    color: #003300;
    text-decoration: none;
    to this -
    .nav {
    text-align:center;
    .nav a {
    font: bold normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    color: #030;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration:none;
    margin-right:35px;
    and then change this -
    <div align="center"><a href="index.html"
    class="nav">Home</a>       <span
    class="nav">About
    Us</span>      <a
    href="impact_HE.html" class="nav">Impact of HE
    Proposal</a>      <a
    href="purpose_ED.html"
    class="nav">The Purpose of
    ED</a>      <a
    href="procedures.html"
    class="nav">Procedures </a>     <a
    href="what_can_we_do.html" class="nav">What Can We
    Do?</a></div>
    to this -
    <div class="nav"><a
    href="index.html">Home</a><a
    href="about_us.html">About
    Us</a><a href="impact_HE.html">Impact of HE
    Proposal</a><a
    href="purpose_ED.html">The Purpose of ED</a><a
    href="procedures.html">Procedures</a><a
    href="what_can_we_do.html">What Can
    We Do?</a></div>
    But an even better way would be to make the menu an unordered
    list, like
    this -
    <ul>
    <li><a
    href="index.html">Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="about_us.html">About
    Us</a></li>
    <li><a href="impact_HE.html">Impact of HE
    Proposal</a></li>
    <li><a href="purpose_ED.html">The Purpose of
    ED</a></li>
    <li><a
    href="procedures.html">Procedures</a></li>
    <li><a href="what_can_we_do.html">What Can We
    Do?</a></li>
    </ul>
    And use this CSS -
    .nav {
    text-align:center;
    .nav ul {
    list-style-type:none;
    margin:0;
    padding:0;
    overflow:hidden;
    .nav li {
    float:left;
    width:150px;
    margin-right:5px;
    border-right:1px solid green;
    .nav a {
    font: bold normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    color: #030;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration:none;
    If you want to make the current page look like it doesn't
    have a link, then
    do this -
    <ul>
    <li><a href="index.html"
    id="home">Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="about_us.html" id="about">About
    Us</a></li>
    <li><a href="impact_HE.html" id="impact">Impact
    of HE Proposal</a></li>
    <li><a href="purpose_ED.html" id="purpose">The
    Purpose of ED</a></li>
    <li><a href="procedures.html"
    id="procedure">Procedures</a></li>
    <li><a href="what_can_we_do.html" id="what">What
    Can We Do?</a></li>
    </ul>
    and add this to each page (use the proper ID) -
    a#about {
    cursor:default;
    /* any other styles you want to make the current page show

  • Using Links to another web page that triggers event

    I was wondering if you are able to have a link (anchor) to another web page that will trigger an event.
    I have a test site www.psweb-test.com and on the home page there is a list of case studies. On another page I have a Jquery accordion menu on www.psweb-test.com/case.html.
    What I want is for the user to select a link of the appropriate case study from the homepage, this to take you to the www.psweb-test.com/case.html page showing the appropriate section from the Jquery accordion section.
    Is this possible as I think the homepage link will need to trigger the appropriate event ?

    It should be possible to carry the desired slice of the accordion to open to the target page in a URL variable.  Had you used a Spry Accordion, or a PVII accordion, I could have told you how to do this. I've not used the jQuery ones, though.

  • Webdynpro call another web page

    Hi experts,
    can my webdynpro call another web page? I need that the webdynpro call a pop-up to another web page and when this page is closed a variable returns to webdynpro to process.
    Is this possible?

    Hi,
    I've found a popup tutorial to webpage and work's fine ... only the first side of my aplicaton.
    I can open a separate web page using:
    wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createExternalWindow("http://www.google.de","Google - Search for an email address",true).open();
    in this class, the "createExternalWindow" method have a boolean parameter to indicate if the window is modal or not ....
    I asign this page on a modal=true but I cannot receive from my webdynpro possible events or variables.

  • HAVE ONE WEB PAGE OPEN AND SUDDENLY ANOTHER WEB PAGE OPENS

    I can have one web page open and suddenly another web page will pop up. Why? It doesn't happen all the time. Like I said suddenly.

    Another thing you can try doing is scanning for Malware:
    Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]
    Download and Run TDSSKiller [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363]
    Download and Install Microsoft Security Essentials [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials] (not an official endorsement, but I personally recommend MSE as an awesome permanent anti-virus)
    Double check for all Windows Updates.
    What is the website that opens up? Is it always the same, always different, one of a few, etc?

  • Creating graphs web page

    Hi,
    I am trying out this Jdeveloper.
    I am trying to create a web page that show graphs (values are from a table) as well as some table's data.
    Can JDeveloper create such web page ? and what type of project should it be created under ? ADF , Jave EE Web Application ?
    appreciate your advise
    tks & rgds

    Hi,
    I assume you are using version of JDeveloper 11g. The simpliest way how to make graphs is to create ADF Fusion application. Then you can decide whether you will use ADF BC as a model (or EJB/JPA). In the view project you can create graph very simply
    just drag & drop way.

  • Is it possible to create a web page to launch Reflection for UNIX and Digital program using Dreamweaver CS6?

    I am planning to create a web page that could launch Reflection for UNIX and Digital program as part of my project in my working area.
    Is this possible?
    I am a beginner in using DW. I am still studying how to properly use Dreamweaver thinking that I could provide the requirement of my project.
    Thank you for your comments.

    This is a question for Attachmate, the maker of Reflection, not Adobe, the maker of Dreamweaver.
    Dreamweaver is a tool, not a technology. It builds applications using HTML and Javascript that run on web servers using the HTTP protocol. So I think the question to as Attachmate is:
    Can Reflection be launched from an apache webserver using HTML, PHP or Javascript?

  • Create from Web Page and Out Of Memory

    My machine is Windows XP Prof, 3+ GB of memory, 10's of GB of free hard drive space.
    I create a PDFs from HTML pages located on my local drive. I am not making a PDF from HTML pages served by a Web Server. They are not located on some network device.
    With Acrobat 7 Professional, I was able to create a PDF from HTML pages without any problem using the Create From Web Page menu option. It might have been slow, but it would predictably create a PDF. The final PDF might be as large as 72 or 130 MB.
    I recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro Extended version 9. When I make some small PDFs (4-5 thousand pages) it seems to work okay. However, if I make the full PDF (about 10-15 thousand pages), Acrobat produces an out of memory error.
    I have tried a number of things, but I still get the error. In the past I have had trouble like this with Acrobat 8 Prof on the Mac (but I don't remember an actual Out Of Memory message box).
    Is there some setting can change, or some procedure that I can get my work done. It appears to me to be a bug in Acrobat 9, but if I could get a workaround for now, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks.

    Even though I an using the Create from Web Page function, I am accessing files which my company has produced. They are located on my local system. I am not accessing them via a web server.
    I can make a file with 1 level. I can make a file with a couple of thousand pages. Even 8400 pages. However, when I try to make a PDF of the full site Acrobat flakes out and dies. When it hits around 13,300 pages, it dies.
    The troubling thing for me is that I was able to do the same thing in Acrobat Pro 7. I made a file with almost 14,500 pages. Because of the way Acrobat must be installed in Windows, I can't easily go back to version 7. It is a real pain not to be able to do something in the "New and Improved" version that I was able to do in the "nasty old" version.
    It would be helpful if Acrobat had better logging and error logging facilities. Maybe there is one page that is hitting Acrobat's bug, and if I could eliminate or change that page I could continue, but there is no way of knowing (as far as I know).
