Creating Bookmark in Publisher

I have to create a report with Bi Publisher that shows on the left the bookmarks when it's outputted in PDF format.
I created a template with a table of content and I added <?convert-to-bookmark?> but the result was that I had the bookmarks but they didn't point to any report's page.
I want that bookmarks point to the beginning of each repeating section.
example:
section A
table
end section
section B
table
end section
section C
table
end section

1. choose the field in the report, where you want to book-mark it
2. select the field and change the style to Heading 1 or Heading 2
3. choose the MS word, Insert->reference->TOC tab and say Hyper-link it.
4. Now run the report, you should see the reference TOC.

I don't understand what you want. Do you want a link that will download a Dashboard to Excel? Why do you want to replace the "Create Bookmark..." link? What's that got to do with your requirement?

Different methods of creating an XML Publisher report

Hi All,
Can anyone please advice me on different methods of creating an XML Publisher report.
The method which we us is as follows -
1. Create an RDF file and upload the same in the /REPORTS/US path.
2. create a concurrent program, give output as XML.
3. Create a data definition, but here we do not upload any data definition.
4. Create a template and upload the RTF template.
But I have heard that there is a method wherein we do not have to create the RDF and simply adding the query to the XML file works.
But in that case do we upload anything in tht Data defition also ?
Can anyone please provide me any link or some place where I can read about different methods to create an XML report without the use of an RDF.

There is a method where we need not to create RDF as data defination. You need to write a xml file which we upload as data defination. The short name for this data defination used as short name as concurrent program having executable XDODTEXE.

Acrobat Pro 7 quits when creating bookmarks

I can only go up to Acrobat 7 on my Mac unless I upgrade from OS 10.3.9. PDFs create fine. Create bookmark by highlighting text and hit command-b. Repeat a few times. Save document and Acrobat quits. Original document is Word 2004 for Mac 11.5.0. I suspect Acrobat doesn't like the hidden TOC data in the headings I am using for bookmarks. BUT, this never happened with Distiller 4.0, the last version I used extensively. Anybody got a fix? I have a 1GHz G4 eMac with 768MB ram.

Evidently I mispoke, it works on 10.4. I thought I had been using it on X.3.9.Because I have one hard drive that use X.3.9. Ther are some updates to 7.0 though. Make sure you your using the most up to date version. Sorry for misleading you.

If you are saying, that you published the book to the iBooks review team and cannot be seem in the store.
Use your iTunes Connect account > Manage your Books to check on its status. It takes time so you need to allow a few days.
If its a problems viewing on your iPad Follow the above advice and another option is is export your book, open iBooks on your Mac and drag the book into iBooks.
You can iTunes > add to libray and sync to your iPad.

How to create bookmarks in adobe reader 9

In adobe reader 7 you could create bookmarks so the viewer could click on them and go to that section of the document. I cannot seem to find it on version 9. All you can do is create thumbnails. Any ideas on how to create bookmarks in the newest version?

Adobe Reader can't create bookmarks. Adobe Acrobat can create bookmarks.

I am not sure about availability of bookmarks in LiveCycle Designer 7.1. But you have setFocus method available in designer. This method you can use to set the cursor position.
Syntax for this method is:
xfa.host.setFocus("xfa[0].form[0].form1[0].#subform[2].TextField2[0]");

Creating Bookmarks in PDF Output

I am going to be exporting my final InDesign document to PDF. I need to create bookmarks for the document because they are used to access topics in online help. I've attempted to do this by selecting Bookmarks in the export settings, with no results. I am not sure how to get headings in my InDesign document to appear in PDF output as bookmarks. Is there such a thing as a heading style in InDesign, as in FrameMaker and Word? Does anyone have experience doing this? I really need to know how to do it. Thanks.

The TOC uses only the headers that appear at the top of each page. How doI get the headings and subheadings throughout the document to appear as bookmarks in PDF?
A TOC will include whatever you tell it to include.
Right. Any paragraph-styled text can be extracted to TOC/bookmarks.
The functionality you want is there, but your statements demonstrate that you've assumed limitations that aren't. They also demonstrate that you're not clueless. Look just a bit deeper.

Creating bookmarks in a PDF file

I know that Adobe Acrobat Professional has the ability to create bookmarks in PDF files. Is there another maybe free solution that I could use to create bookmarks in PDF files? I need to be able to post PDF files on my web site that have bookmarks in them so that users can quickly go to a specific page.

Aw man, I didn't know that. But you're right. It doesn't cause Save to be available and they don't show up in Acrobat Reader. That's lame.
I never looked into that before because I have Acrobat.

How do I create Bookmarks in LiveCycle Designer?

I've created a fillable form using Adobe Live 8 Pro, I distribute the form using Acrobat. I haven't found a way to create bookmarks in LiveCycle so I create them using Acrobat first before I distribute the form...Is there another way?
The problem I'm running into with this approach is that I cannot auto-enable the bookmarks when the PDF is opened because File > Properties > Initial View is disabled.
So given that I've created a form using Adobe Live, what do I have to do to get bookmarks to launch in the initial view?
Does anyone out there know how to do this?

Thanks. I have a Mac and had to do one more step, which was to go to the top line of symbols, click on the cog wheel (organize bookmarks) and then select "new folder." You got me in the right place to start looking.

The screen size is too small on the webpage created by QTSS publisher

Hello,
I published a video file using QTSS publisher.
I'm using "Publish media to Quick Time Streaming Server (instant-on) and Webpage action "Auto-play in Web page".
The screen size is fine when playing via the streaming link but when I create an actual webpage using QTSS publisher and dropping the movie file to that webpage, the screen size is extremely small while playing. Is there a way to make the playing screen size bigger in the webpage?

How can I create Bookmarks folders?

I like to group similar bookmarks together for ease of navigation. Without this ability, the browser is of little use to me.

Problem statement is very simple: Firefox will not create bookmarks.
New installation with Mint 17. New PC build with Asus A58M-A/USB3 mother board, AMD A4 6300 processor, 4 gig memory stick.
All of the Mint and Firefox packages are up to date.
A new profile was created for testing, Firefox has been started in safe mode, purged and re-installed and reset to defaults. None of these actions have helped.

Creating Bookmarkable URLs - two or more parameters

I followed the tutorial "Creating Bookmarkable URLs" and I was able to pass 1 parameter OK with values from a database. I don't know the syntax for multiple parameters, though, when using the IDE Design view. I really would like to have bookmarkable URLs using multiple parameters.
In the url property for the group of hyperlinks, I tried:
/faces/Report.jsp?testableentityconfigId=#{currentRow.value['testableentityconfig.testableEntityConfigID']}&modelId=#{currentRow.value['device.deviceModelID']}
When I run the program, the url in the address bar looks like this:
/Reporting/faces/Report.jsp?testableentityconfigId=%23%7BcurrentRow.value%5B'testableentityconfig.testableEntityConfigID'%5D%7D&%3BmodelId=5
The desired output would look like this:
/Reporting/faces/Report.jsp?testableentityconfigId=2&modelId=5

I tried it (using the TRAVEL FLIGHT table) and it worked for me.
My url property setting in the Properties window looks like this:
/faces/Details.jsp?flightId=#{currentRow.value['FLIGHT.FLIGHTID']}&tripId=#{currentRow.value['FLIGHT.TRIPID']}My JSP looks like this:
