Creating calendar problems

Spent a few hours last night making a calendar in iPhoto only to have it crash on the month of December. Any way to find the auto save file?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I believe the calendar info is saved in the iPhoto6.library file. If there is a temp file it may be in the same folder that the pdf files get created for uploading and printing: /private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/iPhoto/. If you past that in the Go->Go to folder menu option in the finder it will take you there if that iPhoto folder has been created.
If you haven't upgraded to 6.0.1 you might do so as that's supposed to have fixed the calendar problems.

Particularly in this problem. Don't you find it easier to GROUP- and ORDER BY a DATE?

No, but that's not a problem. Acrobat isn't used to "make" documents in the way Word, or Pubisher, or whatever is. Instead, you continue to use Word or Publisher or whatever, and CONVERT the file to PDF. For every change, no matter how small, you change the original and make it again.

Programmatically created calendar view does not appear on view selector menu

My problem is that even though the view is created, it does not appear in the View links just above my list. It only appears in the drop down menu of views in the ribbon. On the contrary, if I create the view using the browser user interface (not programmatically),
the view appears in both places.
Do you have any idea why this might be happening?

Hi papadi,
I can reproduce the issue that creating calendar view using programming method, the view isn’t shown in view selector menu, and this only happens to calendar view, html view or other views are shown in the menu.
After editing the web part, disable the selector menu, then re-enable the selector menu again, I can see the calendar view shown in the view selector menu, create a new calendar view using programming, the calendar view shows as expected.
This seems indicate there is some issue in the view selector menu display, I would suggest you to first disable the view selector menu through edit the web part properties, then create the calendar view.

Creating calendars in Elements 10

Hello, im a total newbie to photoshop elements and I need some help with customizing it. Im hopeing to use it for creating calendars with photo prints and so. My problem is that in Poland its a must have for calendar to contain names under date. I could really use some plugin to edit text in all text layers ( font, size ) and even more something to export all event's from one calendar straight to another. That would be a great timesaver for me. My question is then: Does Elements have that kind of functions that I just can't find or are there any on the internet?

You might do a search for "calendar templates Photoshop" in Polish. I know there are many calendar templates available for PS in English and the majority of them work the same way in PSE: you open them in the editor (not create) and add your own content. Lots of people make calendars this way in PSE because the available templates are so limited and cause so much trouble for many people.

Would trying to manually load NSS Internal PKSS #11 Module create a problem or would nothing happen without a filename in the load window under Security Devices?

Would clicking the load button while NSS Internal PKSS #11 Module is selected and accepting the pop-up window without filling in any more information create a problem for the Firefox 8 program?

If you want, you could also use Hiren's BootCD to make a bootable CD with many options and programs on it (I keep one, just for certain situations) that will allow you to do the same things.

I would like to upgrade to the next step, but because I have many problems with the version 10.4.11, I'm worried that upgrading would create more problems.

Due to a misunderstanding with [email protected] in September of 2010, many of my applications and important files were put into the trash during a cleaning. The trash hadn't been deleted, so a CleanApp rep told me to drag my important files to a folder on my desktop. They were unable to help me with anymore advice with the exception that if I followed the pathway of the application, I could manually restore it to its proper location.
This was asking a lot of me because I didn't have the experience or knowledge of undertaking such a massive restoration. However, I did the best I could. What had been put in the trash was not just a few files -- there were hundreds of files or apps that I discovered in the trash. As I said, this was a misunderstanding. I was left feeling devastated at what had happened.
Since then, my iMac Intel Core Duo has been running on its last legs. I'm surprised I can even get to my email. As far as using the software that I bought with my iMac, I can't. I just do the basics.
What I have been wanting to do is to upgrade to the next level. However, I worry that if I upgrade a crippled OS X 10.4.11 Tiger, I would be creating more problems than what I already have. Do you agree that an upgrade would make matters worse?

It won't necessarily make it worse, but may not make it better. I am not familiar with the utility you usedm though anything that cleans or maintains your Mac should be avoided unless you know what you are doing and what it does. Probably re-installing software from the official sources (download or CDs) is the best way to ensure missing parts are all replaced.
If this is a core duo and not a core 2 duo then the highest you can go is Snow Leopard 10.6 Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).

What is the correct way to add styling to drag-and-drop created calendars?

I have a working instance of a rich client calendar. I generated the view with the required fields (start, stop, provider, ...), put it into the App Module, and dragged it onto a JSF page to create a calendar.
Next I created an activityScope object in a class called CalendarBean (no inheritance)

I populated some records in the database with properties "Work" and "Ed', but they show default blue.
As I understand it, I need to do something with the getTags() method of the underlying CalendarActivity class, but I'm not quite sure how to do that.
Took a stab at creating a class, CalendarActivityBean, that extended CalendarActivity, and pointed all the CalendarActivity references I had to the new class, but it didn't seem to fire (in debug), and I got into trouble, when inserting records, with

Does it create a problem if I only connect the backup external drive every few days for use with Time Machine? Should I have purchased Time Capsule instead?

After a near miss with my 4-year old MacBook, I finally wised up and purchased a WD My Passport for Mac to back up my hard drive. I connected the Passport today and have performed the first full backup. However, I do not wish to keep it permanently connected to the laptop. Does this create a problem if I only connect the drive every few days? Should I have purchased Time Capsule instead?

I don't think it'll cause a problem, but I'd disable/turn off Time Machine before disconnecting, then turn it back on after you connect it again.

I'd rather find out before I spend money, change my store setting back to Korea, and then get told I can't listen to the music because I bought it from the US store and my iTunes is set to the Korean store.

You canot easily change your country settings. The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. How about throwing MARC into the mix. I notice that you are searching with plant, storage location and division. Table MARC has an index on plant named WRK.
If you join MARA and MARC to first determine all the materials that qualify for the given plant and division combination, you can access table MCHB with material (MARA-MATNR), plant (MARC-WERKS) and storage location (FG01) i.e. the first 4 fields in the primary key of table MCHB.
I could not test this theory out because in our system we do not have any data in table MCHB. Your select executes quickly on my system.
Please let me know how this panned out.

Using AppleScript To Pull Data From Number & Create Calendar Events

Today I tried running an AppleScript that I created a few years back that works with Number ’09 [version 2.3 (554)]. The script collects information from the active numbers table and creats an event in my calendar for each row of data in the table. For some reason its not working with the current version of number.

The error ocurs right after it speaks the table name? The error is highlighting the suspect line in the first screenshot.
I think the "T" in the error is coming from the Table name, so try replacing the line in question with this mess

I don't know Numbers & Applescripting so you'll probably need to work on it some more, I gleaned the 'tell document & tell active sheet, tell table' from the script near the bottom.

It's a little unclear to me where the 'get document' info comes from, since you are not telling Numbers within that part.

Hello, I would like to know if anyone can advise me on how to create calendar events in say, excel, and then upload them to my Palm Z22. The reason I want to create them in excel is so that I can also update the file information to my cell phone as well.

If you want to use Excel, then I would suggest that you export your calendar spreadsheet as a comma separated values (.csv) file and then import that data into the Calendar application in Palm Desktop. Then Hotsync your Palm.
