Creating chained services in portal-to-go

How do I use chained services to wap-part?.
For example, the first card insert the user a username and password before the user can access to the second card. How do I change from one service to another service?.
Many thanks
Tan

As you can see in an older post:
in the XSL generating the simpleresult, something like:
<xsl:attribute name="target">___REQUESTNAME_?PAoid=...&argument1=....&argument2=..."
where PAoid is the oid of the desired
service.
So in the generated SimpleResult, there will
be a link (a href) with a portal to go
service's adress...

I have followed these steps to create web service. In transaction se80 i have created service definiton and a wsdl file is generated.
When i am exporting that WSDL file and creating a model in a webdynpro project. I am getting the following error. I dont know how to proceed further.Error while loading WSDL.Check error log for more details.

the proxy is the object that make possible to use the service; even if service and consumer are on the same host, you need a proxy to use it.

  • Error while creating the service entry sheet in PRD

    Hi All,
We are in SAP R/3 4.7 Version. OF39 settings are 58 & 61 Statistical update only ! Now my case is i assigned Rs.100 Budget agaisnt one FC & Comitmetn item & created one service Purchase order Rs.80 & Make down payment against same PO Rs.80.
Now as per above mentioned scenario ,system should allow new Purchase order creation for Rs. 20. But my system is allowing to create up to Rs.100. I am very much sure system not allowed the same and also allow for service entry creation for first PO. But system given error message while doing the Service sheet.
Kindly advice. OF39 settings are OK .Both are statistical only
    Rgds
    ManiSuma

Hi Manisuma, statistical update is recommended to be used only at the begining of a document chain (i.e.purchase requisition or funds reservation) cause if you set it in intermediate documents as you did the budget is set as available, in your example the downpayment reduces the purchase order commitment, and as the downpayment is statistical it does not affect the Availability Control, so the amount (80 in your example) becomes available again so new commitments/actual can be created.

  • Creating a Service User

I'm trying to create a Service User in the portal.  I've come across this link:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/cfdc9e90-0201-0010-6780-cc30206dd319
On page 7, it says that "Service Users reside only in the database. This can be achieved by settings in the configuration file."
It then goes on to say that several service users such as cmadmin_service are added by KM.  My question is, how do I add my own service users?  My portal is not using LDAP as a user repository, just the portal DB.
    Thanks,
    Matt

First, thanks for the reponse -
Yes - I believe the namespace is $serviceUser$.  Since our portal is not integrated with a user repository like AD, how would I create a service user with appropriate namespace?  Creating users via the User Administration role, I cannot assign the new users to the $serviceUser$ namespace.  Do I have to write some SQL to insert into the user database table?
    Thanks again.

  • [ICSS B2B] Problem  when creating a service request due to language

    Hi everyone.
We have a web portal based on icss_b2b wich is linked with our backend (CRM).
On the web portal, we should be able to create service requests and it works fine when we are using english.
But if we log using german language, when we try to create a service request we have an error and creation ins't done.
Do we need do to do any configuration in the xcm ? Crm ? to allow to create service request in a new language ?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
We are facing the same problem, were you able to solve this?
Our Portal takes the language from the browser but we only want to allow people access to ICSS in French and English.
    Example:
If browser language = French --> French ICSS
If browser language = English --> English ICSS
If browser language = Dutch --> English ICSS (English = default language)
    Many thanks for any feedback.
    Cheers,

  • Issue in creating web service for a ABAP Function Module

    Hi,
now i'm learning how to create web service for a ABAP Function Module. I used the following steps.
    1. select the Function Module, named "zws_test".
    2. in the context menu, select "create->proxy object". so we enter into wizard.
    3. in the wizard, press the radio button "Service Provider".
    4. in the next page, press the radio button "Existing ABAP Objects(Inside Out)".
    5. In the next page, Enter the "zws_test_prvider" as Service Definition and select "Function Module" as Endpoint Type.
    6. in the next page, enter "zws_test" as Function Module and mark the "Mapping der Namen" button
    7. in the next page, select "PRF_DT_IF_SEC_LOW" as Profile and mark "Deploy Service".
    8. Save in the local package.
    9. then it will pop up a window with title "WSDL Source". i selected "URL/HTTP Destination" and press "OK".
10.in the next page, i enter the URL as "http://hostname:portnumber/", and press "OK".
    11. then it will pop up a window with title "Display logs". A record with error message "HTTP error(return code 404, message "Not found")" appears.
    12. i press "ok" and a service provider with name "zws_test_prvider" appears in my local package.
    13. i use "zws_test_prvider"'s URL to create a service consumer "ZCO_WS_TEST_CONSUMER" and logic portal "LP1".
    14. But when i test my service consumer "ZCO_WS_TEST_CONSUMER", it will throw an exception "cx_ai_system_fault" with errortext "SOAP:14 Unexpected element -el=definitions ns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/".
    15. I use t-code SM59 to test connection  and get the following info.
          Status HTTP Response     200
          Status Text                      OK
          Duration Test Call             328 ms.
who can give me the reasons about item 11 and 14, and explain me how to create service provider and service consumer for a Function Module.
    Thanks in advance

any help will be highly Appretiated .

    Vineet,
the user management tab opens in Read Only mode - thats why the button is coming as disabled. There is a button for switching into Edit mode - it looks like a pen / pencil on the top bar. Click on that - your "Create User" button would be enabled.
Also regarding creation of Service User via code level you can see <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?messageID=1057074">THIS</a> thread. • How To create web service

    Hi Gurus,
I'm new at web dynpro.I have to create a web service on portal, and call it from ECC.I know what to do at abap but have no idea about portal side.
I will send a parameter to web service, and web service will read a table which is created on portal machine with my parameter and turn me back the data.
Do u have any idea how to create the web service, using NWDS ( or anything else ).

  • Using XI created Web Service in CAF Core

    Hello,
    i'm despairing!!!!
For 2 days I'm trying now to get my XI created Web service working in my CAF Core application...the result is depressing.
First of all: the Web service works without any problems when I import the WSDL into "oXygen" tool. I'm generating a request and get the correct result. The message is processed without errors in XI.
I followed the steps described in <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/11669cea-0c01-0010-63b2-b98c35b1b370">Using a Web Service as External Service</a>. I have 2 search values (with option, minValue, maxValue) where I map each minValue to the corresponding external service attribute.  But when I test the everything in the ServiceBrowser (with parameters ""), the message is processed in XI but with empty search parameters. This means that my "" values are not transferred via XML to XI.
Maybe I put in incorrect URLs (tutorial part: "Configure external services") for WSDL Description URL and End point URL. Which URLs are the corresponding ones in a WSDL file?
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks and regards
    Joschi

    Hi Andre,
Thanks for your answer, but now I'm a bit confused...why is this tutorial for GP? A Web Service is imported as External Service into a Composite Application Service DC in NWDS and then wrapped by an Entity Service. After deployment the Entity Service is tested with the Service Browser. So I don't see the connection to GP.
The passage with 2 search values is maybe a bit confusing, yes. I will search for materialNumber and salesName (2 search values). And for each my Entity Service operation presents me in the mapping mask three "sub"-parameters: option, minValue, maxValue.
So my question on your question: Why do I have to set the "option" to "=="? I don't need the option for my Web Service. In the tutorial there's also no "option" set. In addition I'm not able to set the "option" in my Entity Service because no coding is allowed. So is the tutorial  wrong?
By the way, I already set the "option" to "==" in an extra Application Service (which cals my Entity Servie) and tested it. I created 2 QueryFilters and set "option", "minValue" and "maxValue". But this also doesn't work.
    Regards
    Joschi
