Creating Cpmplecated screen in report program

We have requirement of creating report program with complecated screen design.This screen can be created easily in Dialog programming .I want to create similar screen in report program .
Please suggest how can I achieve this.

In the report program,
parameters: a type i.
now go to se51 enter the name of your program and screen no as 1000 and do the required changes as per the requirement.
if you execute the report, whatever you modified by using se51 will come.

Open your program in SE80. Right click on your program. Click CREATE->Screen menu. This will allow you to create screen for the program.
In the End-of-selection event call the screen using the commands CALL SCREEN or LEAVE TO SCREEN or SET SCREEN.

Choose fields option in Selection Screen of report program.
Hi Experts,
Actually In my requirement , the user wants to display the output fields in ALV Grid and also in Block ALV format.They need 10 fields to be displayed by default and the additional fields has to be displayed based on the choose fields option
( i.e like SE11 choose fields option ) provided in the selection screen of this report program.So based on this the output has to be displayed.
Pls suggest ur ideas.....

Following are the steps for crating t-code for a report program:
1. Goto transaction SE93 and press create.
2. Give the transaction code to be created
3. Enter short text
4. Select the type of transaction to be created (based on ur requirements).
5. Enter screen number (1st screen to be displayed)
6. In GUI support, check all the checkbox
7. Save and activate.
You can also do this procedure by going to SE80, right click on program name->create transaction.

We can make use of programs of Type - Include(I) in other type of ABAP Programs.
These Include programs cannot be executed directly but can be used as a part of the main program i.e Executable program - Type E.
So after creating your main program of type executable program then use the below line
REPORT ZM_SAMPLE_PROGRAM.
INCLUDE INC_PRG_NAME.
Now the code as availablein INC_PRG_NAME becomes part of the main program ZM_SAMPLE_PROGRAM.le
Also you can make use of this Include program in other executable/include programs too...

How to save varaint in a report program with tabstrip in selection-screen
Hi Gurus,
We have a custom report program and selection screen of this program has a tabstrip of 9 tabs. This program will run in background job and we are facing problem to save variant for this report program.
We saved one variant with 'TAB2' populated. But when we execute the report and select that variant and we are not navigated to 'TAB2' automatically. So, code for TAB2 is not triggerd and we are not getting desired output.
When we set this program with variant in Job, program is not navigated to 'TAB2' as per variant setup.
Is there any way to save variant for this kind of report ?

I found during debugging that it is holding the sy-ucomm of the first tab as default value. So, I declared a new field in selection screen with No-Display option. When user will select a tab, this new field will hold the value of that sy-ucomm. As this field is in selection screen, it is getting stored in variant also.
In start-of-selection of program I am checking this field value and accordingly set the TABSTRIP.
