Creating custom startup file
Where is the existing default startup file in Illustrator CS5 located? I'm assuming once I find that, I can replace it with a custom file of my own so I can eliminate the preloaded swatches, etc. that get in my way?
There is no single default startup file; there are several. There are different startup files for different selections when you create a new document. Eash is a standard Illustrator file with different page size, colour mode, and palette items (swatches, symbols, etc.).
The location of the files depends on your OS. On the Macintosh they are in Users/[your user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS5/en_US/New Document Profiles/

Help creating custom XMP file for Photoshop CS5
I was wondering if there is anyone out there that would be willing to help me create a custom XMP file for Photoshop CS5. What I need is very simple, I really just don't know how to go about creating it myself.
Feel free to email me at [email protected]Hi Robert,
please have a look at the "Generic Panel" example of the File Info SDK.
Using that you only need to create a simple XML-file to create a simple custom panel.

Need Help using Adobe PDF Converter to programmatically create custom PDF Files
We are upgrading from Adobe 5 to Adobe 9. In Adobe 5, we set a few parameters in the __pdf.ini file to create a document with a specific Page Size. For Example:
[Acrobat PDFWriter]
PDFFileName=
bDocInfo=0
Orient=1
bExecViewer=0
cpmarginwhole=18
cpwidepart=0
cpwidewhole=612
cpheightpart=0
cpheightwhole=792
Paper=0
Since upgrading to Adobe 9.2, this no longer appears to work. I have also tried adding these values to the following Registry Locations with no luck:
HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat PDFWriter
and
HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\PrinterJobControl
Is it still possible to create a custom page size using this method? Or am I going to have to do that in a different way?PDFWriter was removed in Acrobat 6 - so anything related to it hasn't worked for a decade now.
The Adobe PDF Printer is (like many other drivers) a special case of the standard Windows Postscript driver, any changes you make to its settings will be found and used accordingly. So check with standard Windows docs on custom page sizes. You should also look at the use of a custom JobOptions file for the Adobe PDFPrinter as well. -
JDev 10.1.3: Create custom JAR file
I was wondering what the best practice is to include a custom JAR file or third-party-jar file into a Project in JDeveloper.
For example, if I have a jar named customjar.jar and I store it in c:\jars\customjar.jar. I then in my project properties --> Libraries --> Add Jar/Directory add this to my project. I can then access all my classes in customjar.jar. When I deploy this, this customjar.jar get thrown into my WEB-INF\lib when I deploy to the app server. I would like to store this on my pc in a common directory and not package it into my ear file. Then, when deployed to the app server, I would like that same copy there.
I've read a lot of references to including paths in the server.xml, application.xml, orion-application.xml, shared-lib, etc. It's become quite confusing. TIA.repost

IMovie equivalent for creating custom audio files
Is there an iMovie equivalent for just music? I am trying to create a cardio routine that plays music and has recorded prompts and/or sound effects at different intervals. I can do this in iMovie, but it's overkill and iMovie shuts down when the screen is locked.
Looked at this, but did not see where you could leverage an existing song purchased from iTunes and insert an audio recording or sound effect in the file.

Hi,
I was trying to create a bpel project exactly the way assign demo does.
But when I try to create the partner link It asked for a wsdl file .
I see that a wsdl file is automatically created when I use define adapter service wizard.
I want to create a similar file like assign.wsdl ( which I think do not use any adapter ).
So Is there any wizard which will help me to create customized wsdl file . not sure what is the recommended approach.
I will appreciate any help.
thanks in advance.
prasadThis one is exactly like the assign demo . under
OraBPELPM_1\integration\orabpel\samples\references\Assign
Here port type willl be one for Assigning the value and then call back . both are supposed to be handled by one partner link
<portType name="Assign">
<operation name="initiate">
<input message="tns:AssignRequestMessage"/>
</operation>
</portType>
<portType name="AssignCallback">
<operation name="onResult">
<input message="tns:AssignResultMessage"/>
</operation>
</portType>
thanks. -
How to create a custom ear file and deploy it onto a freshly created oc4j
Hi,
Wanted to know that how should i go about creating a custom EAR file or for that matter any application and deploy it onto a test oc4j instance created within the 10.1.3 Home of Oracle Apps R12.
I believe in a standalone Application server installation it is quite simple to deploy an application by creating an oc4j instance using the AS console ,but not very sure about how to go about it in Oracle Apps .
N.B:I have been able to create a test oc4j instance by the name of Test and able to start and stop it using the opmn of 10.1.3 oracle home.
Any help in this regard will be appreciated.Hi,
can you please post this question to one of the Apps forums if your main concern is to deploy applications in the context of Oracle Apps?
It seems that you don't have a problem in creating the EAR file in JDev.

I am looking for a way to be able to customize a newsletter online, then be able to export/generate a PDF file from that newsletter.
Basically this is for a friend that is a real estate agent, and currently she is creating the newsletters in MS Publisher. I'm hoping to find a way to be able to allow her to login to a secure area of her webpage(that part isn't a problem) but then be able to create/customize a monthly newsletter that needs to be customizable.
For example, the August Newsletter will be 2-sided, and most of the newsletter will be the same, but she needs to be able to have a newsletter for different apartment buildings so the customers can just go to their building link/area on the webpage and be able to download that month's custom PDF file that has a portion of the main newsletter that is a table/list of properties for that specific location. The data will be stored in a database.
After writing the above, I can probably create a front-end to the database so she can enter everything that way, but I still need a way for her to generate the customized PDFs after she is done with that month's data.
I was hoping Adobe had something that could be used, or am I stuck using php or Javascript and just doing this with custom scripting?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
JohnI was hoping Adobe had something that could be used, or am I stuck using php or Javascript and just doing this with custom scripting?
I think you will have to do the latter. While you are thinking about writing the PDF file, don't overlook fpdf (google it).... -
File to IDOC scenario: Create customer master and then return customer no
Hi all.
I have a scenario to pass xml file to sap XI to generate IDOC to create customer master in SAP. My problem is that I need to return customer no. created in SAP from IDOC. Is there any solution to do this? Someone told me that BPM could be used for doing this but I don't know the steps.I have no problem in create customer master in SAP. My only problem is how to return customer no. Any help would be appreciate. Thank you.
Best Regards,
Pavin>>u can use synch-Asynch bridge using BPM
This can not be done via sync-async bridge.There are 2 reasons for this
1.He has file adapter as sender and that doesn't support synchronous scenarios.
2.He has standard IDOC as receiver.there is no way you can fetch customer# from IDOC without writing a custom program,Thats why i said he need to either use RFC/Proxy or do some custom development.
Thanx

How to create custom Ringtones (m4r files) from Songs in iTunes
Jakarta, 14 June 2013
On Mac OS : 10.7.5 (Lion)
On iTunes : 11.0.4
Difficulty : intermediate - hard
Assuming you know basic Ctrl+Click and Option+Drag...
Full correct steps should be like this :
1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...
2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song....
(specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)
3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...
(when done iTunes will create a Chime)
4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...
(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)
5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested...
(rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)
6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...)
(check under "Get Info" > "Kind" : it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")
...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes...
{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }
7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...
(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember?
8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")
//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default Music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "MUSIC" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media" --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!
9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see)
Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.
10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish.
//Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.
( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. Enjoy!Hi --
I'm using iTunes 11.0.4 on OSX 10.8.4 and am having a hard time following your instructions to create a ringtone from a snippet of a .mp3 file using iTunes:
1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone... CHECK!
2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... CHECK !
3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file... PROBLEM!
It's when I hit Step 3 that I have a problem -- my "right click menu" at that point looks like this:
There's no option to "create AAC version." Nor does this option appear anywhere in iTunes that I can find.
It really shouldn't be this confusing to create a freaking ringtone. HELP PLEASE! -
Hello, I have CME 8.6 installed on two 2851s and before going into production, I am testing a few phones.
One of my 2851's is creating cnf.xml files for each phone using SEP<Mac address>.cnf.xml and the other one will not and the phones keep booting up with XMLDefault.cnf.xml.
I've looked at both configurations and I can't see what the difference is. Other than not being able to create the SEP<MacAddress>.cnf.xml files, the phones appear to be loading up fine.
One difference I see is the "its" directory is located on system: on the one that creates the cnf files, and the "its" directory is located in flash on the one that doesn't, although I don't know how that matters.
Below is the one that doesn't create the SEP<MACADDRESS>.cnf.xml files for phones:

Also, from the other few CME installations I've seen, all of the information is in flash, but for some reason when I xtracted the tar for this CME, it's showing up in system: ? Could that be a problem? Here is what I see:

Can I create a subdirectory and custom html file within a domain?
I'm preparing to migrate to a new weblogic server but recently realized that the new url address for users will be different from the original (current) url. Is there a way that I can simply create the root context of the original url within the new server?
So, if the original url is http://aliasname/subdir/subdir/file.html ; and the new url is http://aliasname/domain
...can I manually create the subdir's within the root of the new server and create my own file.html that basically provides a message to the users that the current url has changed?
That way, users who don't happen to update their bookmarks, will be updated and redirected to the new site. I'm new to weblogic and am coming from an MSFT IIS background where I could handle this simply by doing just what I described above in my question.
Thanks in advance!The best is to have IIS handle that kind of work. Note that you use IIS as a front-end for WebLogic, such that requests meant
for WebLogic are forwarded by using the IIS plug-in - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/e14395/isapi.htm#BGBBCFID -
Creating Custom persisted properties?
Hi All,
As as read atg.adapter.gsa.GSAPropertyDescriptor class will be use to create custom persisted properties. Then what is difference b/w custom persisted property, that we creating using property-type = sub class of above class and simple property that is in any table?
Hint: custom persisted property is declared in .xml file outside of table just like transient property.
-RMishraHint: custom persisted property is declared in .xml file outside of table just like transient property.You can not have a persistent property outside <table>. If you do that your repository definition xml validation will fail during startup.
As as read atg.adapter.gsa.GSAPropertyDescriptor class will be use to create custom persisted properties. Then what is difference b/w custom persisted property, >that we creating using property-type = sub class of above class and simple property that is in any table?Any regular persistent property in your repository is going to be handled through GSAPropertyDescriptor or its sub-class. In case you specify property-type as a sub-class of GSAPropertyDescriptor, then in that case some additional methods like rawToReal() and realToRaw() come into picture while calling getPropertyValue() and setPropertyValue() respectively.
rawToReal() - converts from the database value to the property value as returned by RepositoryItem.getPropertyValue(). E.g. for a property that specifies a reference to another item, we can convert the ID stored in database of an item into the RepositoryItem itself to be returned from getPropertyValue().
realToRaw() - converts from the value given to setPropertyValue into the value given to which will actually be stored in the database. E.g. a property that specifies a reference to another item, we can convert from the RepositoryItem object passed in () to its ID.
The above default implementations are already provided in ATG Repository APIs and if you want to customize or change the default behavior then you can extend GSAPropertyDescriptor and define that class as property-type.
As Shaik mentioned, one GSAPropertyDescriptor customization is already there in form of EnumPropertyDescriptor which comes into picture for "enumerated" data types. It is done by not specifying the class name in property-type but through an indirect approach where a type name for a repository property can be registered with this method:
RepositoryPropertyDescriptor.registerPropertyDescriptorClass(String typeName, Class propertyDescriptorClass)
Hope it helps. -
Create custom device driver package
Hello,
I'm working with LabVIEW 2014 + RT and FPGA addons.
I have to provide a real-time application to many customers.
This application is created and can be installed using MAX as User Component to run at startup. I created a CDF file to do this.
Our customer don't need to use LabVIEW. They just need the device drivers linked to our application.
Is it possible to create a custom device driver package in order to provide only needed device drivers ?
I would like to do something like the device drivers installer but only with a litle part of it in order to install automatically everything needed and not more to deploy my application using MAX.
Best Regards,
CFOEPerhaps you could use the RAD tool (or a modified version of it - it's open source)? See here: http://www.ni.com/example/30986/en/
You can use it to create an 'image' of your RT controller which you can then use the tool to restore the image onto the device. There are also a lot of utilities in the System Configuration palette to help you do this.

Can I set up Airport Extreme for wireless printiing over Uverse network?
I previously had DSL, and used my Airport Extreme as my wireless router. It was in my home office, so my printer was directly plugged into the Base Station. I recently switched to ATT Uverse, which came with its own wireless router. The new router is
