Creating DATASOURCE on AUSP table in CTBW tcode..

Hi friends,
i have a requirement to create a datasource on AUSP table in CTBW tcode.....
i'm unable to to solve that so, can any one give me the procedure.. how can i create.. a datasorce throgh this CTBW.. ..
actuvally my requirement is i want to create a datasorce on AUSP table even i tryd in RSO2 also..when i'm creating generic datasource.. when i enetered this table means.. it was not accepting this table name..it pose some error..
so, can any one plz suggest me.. helpful answers will be highly appriciated..

Hi,
well I don't know your view definition, but this message always appears if you are using structures, views, tables which contain fields that refer to other tables. You always have to embed the fields of that tables into your structure. So in your case, creating a view on ausp and t006, you need to add t006-msehi as a view field. Then it should work.

EOL date Issue in AUSP Table for Material classification in MM

Hi,
Issue: for 4 material's eol date available in bw and after some time the user removed the EOL date in R/3. after deleted eol data from R3, the material classification data source(1CL_OMAT001) not picking that material and old eol date available in bw instead of null. please let me know why the material classification not picking that material.
iam checking with MM team still they are saying that sap stranded process, but iam thinking maybe some configuration issue from MM side .still iam not sure that either configuration issue or something else and when we delete eol date then only date value should be
modified in AUSP table not entire record but in this case, entire has deleted from AUSP table.
If we provide any
value to the characteristic (EOL date), an entry will be created in the AUSP
table as shown below. ATFLV will have the characteristic value.
If we remove the
date of EOL from the material master, the entry in AUSP table will get deleted
as shown below . this is causing the issue .
when we delete the eol date in R3 why the entire record deleted from AUSP table. Please tell me the reason.

It is like SAP has designed its classification system.
No entry is not a valid entry for a date field, it is initial, it is just nothing, hence no need to keep nothing as a value. Imagine the millions of classification fields that may not have any value entered. Would you really like to have this all with no value as record in AUSP?
You may want to consider to enter 31.12.2999 as EOL date instead of removing the entry.

Error while creating datasource from table MBEWH

I am facing an error message while creating datasource from table MBEWH
"Invalid extract structure template MBEWH of DataSource "; This operation failed, because the template structure quantity fields or currency fields, for example, field LBKUM refer to a different table.
Can anyone help me that why system is not allowing me to generate generic datasource for table MBEWH to transfer my month wise inventory data.

      This was comming for classification data... when ever you want to extract some classification related data then we can't create generic datasources directly.. for that you need to go with CTBW ( tcode ) and   create one datasource...
   so, you need to check that   related table also.. for that MBEWH table..
    ALL THE CLASSIFICATION RELATED DATASOURCES WE CAN'T CREATE DIRECTLY... JUST LIKE AUSP table also.. liek this..

Table for creating datasource .

I am trying to create a report.
The report output is as follows
Companycode | business partner type | Business partner No | vendor no | customer no |cheque no | cheque date | cheque amount | check status | bank account no |.
Now to create datasource for fetching the above data I am trying to find the tables . All the data related to cheque is present in the table PAYR but from where can I get business partner number and business partner type .
Any clues ?

How to use change document for AUSP table in MM02?

Hi All,
I am working with MM02. When I change the characteristic value in classification view, I want that change to be logged in CDHDR table.
I have created a change document object for AUSP table and generated update program for that. Now that program needs to be called in some badi or exit which can be called upon saving in MM02 after changing the values in classification view.
Can anybody give me some idea where can I call that program.
Any help wud be appreciated.

You have 2 possible solutions to meet this requirement.
Option 1: Implement point # 3 of SAP OSS Note 943559
Option 2: This is a workaround solution to skip standard SAP check for activation of change documents of Classification system and allow entries to be written into CDHDR and CDPOS table through MM01 / MM02 / CL20N tcode
Solution: Implement an implicit enhancement inside include program 'LCLVFF10', at end of subroutine 'FILL_REDUN' i.e. line number '337'.
Here modify the entry of table 'REDUN' where OBTAB = 'MARA' and set the flag 'AEBLGZUORD' equal 'X'. This will activate the change document creation for Change Object 'CLASSIFY' in CDHDR and CDPOS tables.
Sample Code
LOOP AT redun WHERE obtab EQ 'MARA'.
redun-aeblgzuord = 'X'.
ENDLOOP.

How to create datasource

Now we need to create a datasource, I create one copy a datasoucre by system standard datasource. When I check it,the short jump as follow:
1.Table SMOXRELP:segment is missing in BDOC;
2.Table SMOXRELP:field is missing in extract stucture
How to solve this error?

You mean generic datasource?
we create it from tcode rso2.
datasource name should start with Z as its a custom datasource.
use radio button appropriate..TD datasource or text or attr then enter datasource name and the click on create.
then fill relevant box..based on table or view or FM.
for table/view extract structure is created by system.
for FM u have to create ext structure manually.
then specify generic delta(if required).
then click save button.save in transport and assign relevant package.
then hide/unhide and do field settings in tcode rsa6.
then replicate datasources to BW and then do tr rules mappings in BW.

Creating Datasource and Extracting from SAP R/3 ECC 6.0

Hello Gurus,
I am very new in BI field, I am learning through notes provided in this Blog.
Curretnly I need to know how we create Datasource at SAP R/3 ECC 6.0 (is there any difference b/t these?)
and how we may extract data from R/3 ECC 6.0 Source System.

You can use any specific Extractors to Create Data Source in R/3 side.
Let me explain with Generic Extraction
Goto SBIW--> you can see all the extractions here
Generic extractors are of 3 types:
1. Based on table/view
2. Based on Info set Query
3. Based on Function module
If you would like to create a custom table, then goto SE11>Select Table>Click on Create (Now create you own table here & use this table while creating Transaction data)
Goto RS02-->Select Transaction data.
Click on Create
Choose an application component to which the data source is to be assigned
Click on Generic Delta
Specify the Delta-Specific and the type for the field.
Specify a safety interval
Select Data type>Save> Now Data source was generated successfully
After generating the data source , you will find Delta Flag checked.

Once you've done with Data Source in R/3 side--> u need to Replicate it to BI
Goto RSA1>source system>Select the Source system in which u've created Data source>R.C select Data Source Overview>Select the Application Component to which Data source is assigned>R.C Select Replicate dataSorce>here you can see your NEW Data source

Error while creating datasource from view ZBSIS_VIEW

I could not create the datasource on the database table BSIS as it said "Invalid extract structure template BSIS of Datasource". I had suggestions that I should create a view and then create the Datasource on it. So I created the view and tried. But still I am facing an error message while creating datasource from custom Database View ZBSIS_VIEW.
"Invalid extract structure template ZBSIS_VIEW of DataSource"
Can anyone help on this regard.

Yes. You need a create a view on tables BSIS, BKPF and T001 as the currency/quantity fields in BSIS have reference fields from the other 2 tables.
In BSIS, in the currency/quantity fields tab, you have some ref tables and fields. You would need to include these tables and join in the view. You would also need to include the ref fields like WAERS, HWAE2, HWAE3, etc in the view. Then you would be able to create the datasource.

Problem in creating datasource

I need to create a master datasource for a table but only for some fields in that table. Some of the fields are of type Timestamp but i need only Date. So I thought of creating a structure with only required fields of that table and changed data type. In the user exit or BADI, thought of writing the code for extracting the data from that table and doing some manipulations. In RSO2 transaction while creating a master datasource i am not able to specify the structure created? Is there any other way to proceed with this scenario?

When you want to create generic datasource and need to use manipulation of table data go for function module based datasource.
First create a structure and in RSO2 choose function module based datatsource and place your function module and structure.
PS: You need not use CMOD coding instead go for function module.

Hi, Anyone knows what's the simplest way to create a grid or table report using CR4E? my report is very simple, a list of POJO and want to display it in a table.I guess you could add outside borders to each field, is there any simple way to do it?

The easiest way to create a report under the form of a simple table or grid, is to follow these 5 easy steps in CR4E, once your datasource is ready :
1) Select your fileds
In the Field Explorer, select all the fields you want to show in your report,Â using the Ctrl key to select them all at once
2) Drag and drop fields on the report
Drag and dropÂ the selected fields all at once from the Field Explorer onto your report, on the Body section.
The dropped fields will automatically be aranged in a row.
3) Position the fields Â
While all your fieldsÂ are still all selected, make sure they areÂ positionnedÂ at the very top of the Body section, so that there will be no space between your data on the final report.
4) Set the Fields Property to make them look like a tableÂ
While all your fieldsÂ are still all selected, go to the Property panel, and set the BorderÂ Properties from None to Single. You will also probably want to set the LeftIdentation Property to a fraction of inch so that the text doesn't start right on the border of your grid.
5) Set the Body section size
Adjust the height of theÂ Body section, so that itÂ is exactly of the size of your fields, to ensureÂ there will be no horizontal space between your grid rows on the final report.
At this point, you can preview your report, and you already have a table.
Of course, from there, you can adjustÂ the fields size (columns width),Â font size, color of the text, etc ... with the available Properties in the Property panel, and make your table look the way you like.

[Help] Cannot create datasource in Mapviewer

Hello. When I deploy MapViewer in OC4J standalone and log as oc4jadmin, i cannot create datasource for it. I edited mapViewerConfig.xml like this:

AUSP Table updation

Dear All ,
I need to know under what processes this table AUSP gets updated. I have gathered some info like this table is used to see the Characteristic Values of any material or object etc but how it is related to Vendor ? My user is stating that he have created a vendor however unlike for other vendors, the AUSP table didnt get updated. Any piece of advice will be highly appreciated.

Please, check note 1547034 - How are characteristic values updated in table AUSP?
It explains the situations where AUSP is not updated. If, after consulting this note, you still have some problems, I'd suggest raising a message to OSS.
