Creating DB - stuck at 85%.....help?
while installin 8i PE, in minimal mode,
the progress bar hangs at 85 % (creating database) i waited for abt 25 min.... no progres....

Uninstall the oracle, delete the directory and then delete the oracle entry from registry.
Give Global Db name and SID as ORCL.

Dear Experts,
hoping someone can help me to find a solution to this:
in our company we are building a business process so that not everyone should be able to open a new support message under maintenance cycle, but only "Power Users" - we call them BPE for Business Process Experts.
All the rest business comunity should filter their inquiries thru BPE's, and if BPE decides that Support Message is required, then (s)he will use the Create Support Message function under Help main menu.
Is there any way in SAP to restrict usage of "Create Support Message" function to only a group of people (BPE) by security or other means, so that it's invisible (or not executable) by other people ?

Create support desk message through "Help"
Dear friends,
I am creating support desk message in my Sol Man system through "Help" menu. At that time, system automatically calling transaction type "SLF1".
Now i have created the new transaction type "ZZSL" by copying from SLF1.
Now i want the system to call the new transaction type "ZZSL", when i create a support ticket through "Help".
How to enable this?
Please guide me on this.

But i am NOT creating the support desk message through the transaction NOTIF_CREATE.
I think you are of aware of creating the support desk message through "Help" menu.

when I configure the "Configuring the Classic Instance" under the "Oracle Classic 11g-Home1". It's always pending in "Creating the domain" . No any Error information.

I am installing Oracle Fusion Middleware_pfrd_win_11.1.1.3.0_64 on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 Virtual Server.
Step 1: download and install jdk-6u26-windows-x64.exe
Step 2: download and install wls1033_generic.jar by typing java -Xmx1024m -jar wls1033_generic.jar - de-select Run Quickstart
Step 3: download and install Oracle Fusion Middleware_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_64 but do not configure
Step 4: download and install Oracle Fusion Middleware_pfrd_win_11.1.1.3.0_64
Step 5: navigate to C:\Oracle\Middleware\as_1\bin and execute config.bat
Step 6: deselect Portal and Discoverer. Auto Port config, no proxy, all domain settings as default
Progress stuck at 0%.....
