Creating DC from SLD

Hello.
I tried to create a Development Configuration in NWDS, choose from a SLD, set Landscape catalog http:// <host>: <port>, and then enter the login and pass, and the connection is successful, but the development of a configuration has not appeared.

Hi,
Will u create Track under NWDI. Every Track having Software Components.
1.Create Track. In SDN lots of people are talking about the track. How to create track
Refer to this for [Track Creation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/f2/7c04702864304bb38e0b1cd6667c2b/content.htm]
2. Import Tract into the NWDS .
[Refer to this Importing Development Configuration|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/c3/e3a43f4aa1330ee10000000a114084/content.htm]
3. Open Development Configuration Perspective in NWDS.
4. Finally When u have to Import the Track into NWDS. That track having Software Components. Right click on Software Components we have to create DCu2019s.
Refer to [Administration of the NWDI|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/63/7a4d40eae76f13e10000000a1550b0/content.htm]
Hope this helps!!

  • Error in IB (When trying to import objects into ESR from SLD or from server

    Hi Experts,
    We are facing an error with the Integration builder recently. When we open Enterprise Services Repository of PI 7.1, we are able to see the GUI with objects perfectly. When we try to import an object into the repository from the server ( In ESR, choose Tools -> Import Design objects -> From Server), we are thrown with an exception...
    Error when exectuting search (QUERY_ERROR)
    & java.lang.NullPointerException
    The server throws the above two exceptions. I have pasted the logs of the error when trying to import an object from the server and also from the sld, below.
    Have any of you experieced the issue? Request you to please check this out and suggest what the problem could be. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rajeev,
    Thanks for your inputs. I myself am a basis guy. I ve already checked all the authorizations given to the user - PISUPER, and have found it to be fine. Can't understand why this security issue crops up still. anyways, i m getting this error when trying to import an object from the server. If i try to create a new object and during the process, try to import the SCV from SLD, i m facing with an error again, of a different sort. The log says...

  • Synchronization from SLD to LMDB is working fine, but data is not written to Software == Product Instance

    Dear Gurus,
    Synchronization from SLD to LMDB is working fine, but data is not written to Software ==> Product Instance section tab. What could be the problem ? Normally it should gather automatically, but pushed me to select manually lots of component ???
    Here is collecting is working fine !!!

    Hello Kemal,
    You have to ensure that your Technical System info is properly filled automatically.
    In LMDB you first create its Product System on LMDB Start Screen ProductSystem tab, after that please assign its respective Technical System. You probably need to run the Verification Check in order to confirm that your Product System has all Product Instances according on Technical System's Software Component Versions.

    HI Khanna
    Delete the Business System in your IR and ID, if any interfaces are developed under this BS.
    See if any items in locked state...and also after deleting it...activate it and refresh the cache. this shud help
    If you deleted from everywhere then it should not give that message.
    Try after refresh cache using SXI_CACHE.
    Finally Delete the BS from SLD
    In general , that to be you are facing this type of problem only inthis situation , then you have to refresh SLD cache.
    See the below link

    I am new in XI(PI). I have created Technical system, business system and software component properly.
    But when I go to IR and import the software component, it gives me an error message +*'Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape Directory "sapxi:50000".

    Hi,
    As your question says that,your are not able to import your software component version in to IR.
    First better you cross check your software component is available or not in the SLD.
    Can you please go to SLD and got to search field and give your software component name and search for the availablity.If you are able to see your software component detailse and after referesh your cache.environment->clear sld data cache
    and try once and also please check your SLD information like logical system name and everything and try If still your facing the same problem let me know.

  • ESR objects after re-importing SWCV into ESR from SLD

    We created two SWCVs in SLD and imported into ESR.
    I_MYCOMP_SWCV_ONE
    I_MYCOMP_SWCV_TWO
    I created few design objects like DTs MTs SIs like  dtA, dtB, siC in I_MYCOMP_SWCV_TWO
    but later, for some reason, to enable usage of objects of I_MYCOMP_SWCV_ONE to be used/referenced in I_MYCOMP_SWCV_TWO, we had to create dependencies in sld, something like I_MYCOMP_SWCV_TWO depends on I_MYCOMP_SWCV_ONE,
    after we defined the dependency in sld, the SWCVs need to be reimported into ESR, and my previous design objects dtA, dtB, siC will be lost if i reimport I_MYCOMP_SWCV_TWO
    is there any wayout, in which all my previous objects will not be lost, (so that i need not re-create manually) after importing I_MYCOMP_SWCV_TWO
    thanks,
    Madhu.

    >>>they will not be lost for sure (you you reimport without deletion)
    thanks, when we try to reimport without delition.. we got below message.
    A software component version with the name I_MYCOMP_SWCV_TWO already exists
    To update the SLD information, use the relevant menu option in the editor for software component versions
    But it is possible to update SWCV from the content from the sld.
    that served the purpose.
    thanks again.

  • Import from SLD into integration engine

    When I create a new SLD namespace (sld/dev) and copy all of sld/active into this, then i can define new entries (product, versions etc) in this SLD namespace.
    My problem is, how can I import these in the Design part of the integration builder. It looks like that only the items in sld/active can be selected.
    Any help on if this is possible would we great.

  • How to import stuff from SLD to Integration Builder ?

    Hi All ,
    I have done all my definition and configuration in SLD - Product definiton, Technical System, Business system,  SWCV , SWC , logical system - everything is in SDL.
    When I go to' IB:design' and 'IB:config' I don't see anything I created in SLD?
    I guess this is because the very next step should be to import all this stuff from SLD into  Integration Builder.?.I read some posts on the forum but it is not clear  where this is done :
    1.should I do it first in  IB:design or in IB:configuration  ?
    Can you please tell me how this is done technically and in what order - from wich menu and how?
    2.And what is Enviroment->Clear SLD Data Cache used ? Do I have to use it and at which point?
    Looking forward to your reply asap..Thanks all in advance..
    Regards,
    Boby

    Boby,
    If you do all the configuration in SLD only thing you have to import is the software component into Design and create your namespace and all the objects.
    In Configuration you have to import your business systems and do all the routing rules.
    Check this weblogs for step by step procedure for an end to end scenario:
    /people/srinivas.vanamala2/blog/2007/02/05/step-by-step-guide-xml-file-2-xml-file-scenario-part-i
    /people/srinivas.vanamala2/blog/2007/02/05/step-by-step-guide-xml-file-2-xml-file-scenario-part-ii
    <i>
    2.And what is Enviroment->Clear SLD Data Cache used ? Do I have to use it and at which point?</i>
    If you change anything in IR and ID and this new changes do not reflect in your scenario then we do this normally.
    Also check this document for all the caches in XI:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0332b2a-eb97-2910-b6ba-dbe52a01be34

  • Is it possible to get LS name from SLD when the scenario is executed

    can I create a scenario that gets the Technical system details of the Business system from SLD?
    Can I have a Soap - File scenario, in which case, once the request comes from Soap, corresponding Business system's Technical system details ( like LS name and client no ) should be taken from SLD and send as a file.
    Is this possible ??
    if yes, how?
    Regards,
    Venkat.

    Hi
    Technical system details - Not sure if that is directly possible..
    but an option would be to use a FixValue/ Valuemap function provide a Key & get the value
    to generate the Key, use a UDF, get RUNTIME constants to make a key
    check this link for constants http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/b3/9a2aeb24dc4ab6b1855c99157529e4/frameset.htm
    e.g
    java.util.Map map;
    map = container.getTransformationParameters( );
    String const;
    Const = (String) map.get(StreamTransformationConstants.CONSTANT_NAMEfromlink);
    return const;
    if you want XI's information, then you can try this
    String sysSID = (String)System.getProperty("SAPSYSTEMNAME");
    OR
    String sysSID = (String)System.getProperty("user.name");
    Regards

  • Test communication from SLD

    XI experts,
    Is there any way to test communication with the configured system (third party / SAP) from SLD itself?
    When we create a RFC destination in SM59 , we have facility of testing connection with the target system there itself. Is there similar functionality available with SLD?
    Regards,
    Amol

    Hi Amol,
            Adding to what others have said ,
    "Call transaction SLDCHECK to make sure that you established a connection between the Integration Server and the System Landscape Directory during the post-installation steps described in the Installation Guide – SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0. The system displays a log that lists the current configuration data, the function test results, errors, and notes for checking. Use this log to verify that the connection works properly. Furthermore, make sure that you have defined the following RFC destinations for the connection between the Integration Server and the SLD:
    • LCRSAPRFC • SAPSLDAPI The program ID (LCRSAPRFC_<SID> or SAPSLDAPI_<SID>, respectively) must correspond to an entry under JCo RFC provider for the SAP J2EE Engine."
    Did you see this part in configuration guide, Correct me if i am mistaken with your requirement.
    Regards,
    Anirban.

  • Issues related to Software Product & Component Import from SLD to IR

    Hi XI Gurus,
                    Can you please provide me solutions on these:
    1. How can I delete / remove from display some Software Product (top node) from the Integration repository ?
      By mistake I imported all the available software components from SLD while I attempted to import a specific one. Now it built up a big list causing navigation problem and therefore I want to get rid of these newly imported ones. Is there really a way to revert back something imported from SLD?
    2. What need to be done from the SLD / IR side to see a newly created Product in SLD for import to IR. I created one product in SLD but not able to see the same in import list from SLD in IR.
    I'm a new XI developer just started working on a POC project. Please don't mind if these are silly questions.

    Solu:
    If you want to delete the software component in IR then delete all the interface mappings, message mappings, message interfaces, message types, data types and then all the namespaces. Then you can delete the software component. For your reference check this weblog on the same:
    /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/05/22/how-to-delete-software-component-from-integration-builder
    Also check this thread for the same:

    <i>2. What need to be done from the SLD / IR side to see a newly created Product in SLD for import to IR. I created one product in SLD but not able to see the same in import list from SLD in IR.</i>
    You dont need to do anything if you have created all the steps in SLD. Just you have to import it.
    Check this weblog for your reference:

    Hi Stephen,
    If you want to create the SWCV and import that SWCV to the IR/ESR then your user having either one of the below roles.
    SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR
    SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER
    Go to transaction SU01 and give your user name and click on display.
    Now click on Roles tab, here you check the above roles are appearing or not, if not then you don't have privilizes to do that things.
    If you don't have that credentials then contact your BASIS guy.
