Creating Email Forward Rule

Hi All
Another question I have about the email service concerns on how to create email forwarding rules. There is no such reference on the documentation (at least not that I could see). I also couldn't find anything related to mail forwarding on Beekeeper. So I would really appreciate if you could help me with this question.
Thank You!

Hi Richard,
This is a simple task to perform on OCS. I though that would be also easy to perform on Beehive. What I want to achieve is simply change a user's forward rule, just it.
Thank You!

    I am trying to forward a certain email I get to my icloud email to another email address. I have added the unwanted senders email to rules and included where i would like the email to be forwarded, however it doens't seem to be working as i also added a second rule for testing purposes with my other hotmail account
    any help would be great

    new account are created without a password, so asking for it is normal.
    see http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2011/07/pssswords.html
    Compare the passwords Thunderbird has for the other accounts and see if using the same one is what you need to do.

  • ASA 5505 how to create a port forwarding rule

    ASA 5505 IOS ver 9.2.3
    I need to create a firewall rule that will allow internal services to be accessed externally, but using port forwarding. For example I'd like to enable access to our NAS via ftp external on port 1545 and then have the ASA forward the request to the NAS internally on port 21.
    I tried these commands but they didn't work:
    object network NAS
    host 192.168.2.8
    nat (inside,outside) static interface service tcp 21 1545
    access-list NASFTP-in permit tcp any object NAS eq 1545
    conf t
    int vlan 2
    access-group NASFTP-in permit tcp any object NAS eq 1545
    I really appreciate the help everyone.

    try this, it worked for me, here is an example of adding a webserver with a ip of 10.10.50.60  and naming it with a object named www-server and forwarding port 80 , the way it works is you need to do three things, u need to "nat it" "foward it" and allow it in "acl"
    object network obj-10.10.50.60-1
    host 10.10.50.60
    nat (inside,outside) static interface service tcp 80 80
    object network INSIDE
    nat (inside,outside) dynamic interface
    object network WWW-SERVER
    nat (inside,outside) static interface service tcp 80 80
    access-list Outside_access_in extended permit tcp any object WWW-SERVER eq 80
    access-group Outside_access_in in interface Outside

  • Cannot create/reply/forward email on FireFox 15.0.1

    I was able to create/reply/forward email on AOL with FireFox 14 but with FireFox 15.0 the reply/forward feature only copied the email to the compose page on the first attempt - I had to end/restart FireFox each time I wanted to reply/forward. With the 15.0.1 upgrade I have lost the ability to create/reply/forward - the compose page works except I cannot issue the send or save commands (thank goodness for autosave). Switching to IE solves the problem but my browser of preferance is FireFox.
    This problem only exists for AOL webpage email - yahoo and gmail work perfectly.

    Is the problem with Send and Save that the buttons are missing or that they don't do anything?
    I don't have an AOL account to test, so I can only offer general advice.
    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
    Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
    (You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
    orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
    (2) Remove your aol.com cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these:
    * While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
    A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
    Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
    If the site works correctly, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.
    Any change?

  • Limit users in search when Forwarding workitem or creating Substit. Rule?

    When you are in Universal Worklist, you have capabilities to Forward workitems or Maintain Substitution Rules.  In both cases there is a select box where you can search and pick a user from the system who you want to Forward a workitem to or say make your Substitute when creating a Substitution rule.
    Is there a way to limit the users returned when searching?   It appears you can find any account/user in the system.  For example, we entered "admin*" in the search box and it returned "administrator".  We would not want this or any other kind of non end user account.
    Also, we have concerns about customers accidentally being able to forward workitems to different customers or competitors.
    Matt

    Hi Mike, thanks for the OSS and reply.  I agree with what you are saying.  I'll just add a few comments.  To help clarify, I guess there are two security concerns.   One is who you can forward workitems to and the other is hacker type security.  A security vulnerability report from a 3rd party is what prompted my posting.  They had issue with the user search on creating substitute and forwarding workitems (the fact it allows a complete enumeration of the system's user accounts).
    Restricting by possible agents (=General Forwarding not Allowed) is also for exactly this purpose.
    Perhaps that explains why not many companies have the same concern?
    I agree and we are using this in some workflows.  It does prevent you from forwarding a workitem to someone that is not a possible agent.  The problem is that the user search still shows all user accounts.  Fails their report and some of our users complain it forces them to know who the other possible agents are or guess.
    Another option is to not allow forwarding for the task but put the whole thing in a loop and give them a forward option as a decision choice or button which results in an agent selection step or popup box and then loops around, sending the task to the new agent.
    Yes, we do this in some workflows.  The only issue is that we do this with synchronous dialog in SBWP and we cannot do the same in UWL.
    Thanks again for your reply.

  • PowerShell Script to Create a Contact Card and Enable Email Forwarding

    Exchange 2010
    Can anyone help with creating a powershell script to create a contact card and set email forwarding at the sametime?
    I'm looking to import a list of 200 users via a text or csv file, create the contact card with first name, middle initial if one exists, last name, (no alias) and put the contact card in the following OU "DIS###" in the a.b.c.com domain as well
    as enable forwarding to @mail.com.
    I've been able to create a script to enable mail forwarding but it doesn't help me without a contact card.  I hate to put this upon anyone, but my ps scripting and Exchange knowledge is still in it's infant stage and I need get this done post haste

    Q:Import csv: Does this contain 200 mailboxes name
    A:It contains 200 user logon names.
    For the mail forwarding:
    I currently have a csv file with two columns -- one named displayname and the next call mailaddress.  Under the displayname column I have the users account name (first.mi.last -- middle initial if they have one) and under mailaddress i have @mail.com.
    script:
    Import-CSV C:\setmailforwarding\mailforwarding.csv | foreach-Object{Get-Mailbox $_.displayname | set-Mailbox -forwardingAddress $_.mailaddress}
    The above script should work if the contact card has been created.  Obviously I need to create the card first.
    I don't have a script to set up the contact card as of yet -- I was hoping to get some help on that.
    Q:E-mail forwarding: Is this  from  mailboxes to mail contact, you will be creating
    A:Not really sure what you are asking.  I'm looking to create the contact card with a csv or txt file for first name, middle initial if one exists, last name, (no alias) and put the contact card in the following OU "DIS###" in the a.b.c.com domain as
    well as enable forwarding to @mail.com.  The users current email is @mail.1234.com and we will be migrating our mailboxes to another organization that uses @mail.com.  I will need to set forwarding in the interim until the migration is complete.
    Hope this helps.

  • Navigation and Creating  a navigation rule at runtime

    Hi all,
    How can I create a navigation rule at runtime?
    I got all my pages (names and locations) stored in a database table.All my pages are jspx format.
    I don't want to create navigation rules for each page, Instead I want to use the location stored in the database and create a navigation rule to navigate to.
    I tried navigating using ServletRequest :
            ExternalContext ectx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext();
            HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse)ectx.getResponse();
            HttpServletRequest  request = (HttpServletRequest)ectx.getRequest();
            request.getRequestDispatcher("/faces/Titles.jspx").forward(request,response);But it blows after the first call.
    is it possible to create a navigation rule in a Bean or is there another way to call jspx pages from a Bean without loosing the session.
    Can someone help me please.
    thanks in advance,
    Ahmad Esbita

    Ahmad,
    I don't know of any way to programatically create navigation cases at runtime. However, perhaps you could try creating a NavigationHandler decorator. Let's assume you have a function called "getViewIDforAction" that does the database lookup and returns the view ID for a given action code. You could do something like this:
    package my.code;
    import javax.faces.application.NavigationHandler;
    import javax.faces.context.FacesContext;
    public class MyNavigationManager extends NavigationHandler
       NavigationHandler _base;
       public NavigationManager (NavigationHandler base)
          super();
          _base = base;
       public void handleNavigation(FacesContext fc, String actionMethod, String actionName)
          String viewID = getViewIDforAction(actionName);
          if (viewID != null && ! "".equals(viewID))
             fc.getViewRoot().setViewId(viewID);
          else
             _base.handleNavigation(fc, actionMethod, actionName);
    }You'll also need this in faces-config.xml:
    <application>
      <navigation-handler>my.code.MyNavigationManager</navigation-handler>
    ...any other stuff...
    </application>Note: I haven't tested this or anything - just to give you an idea...

  • Two web servers cant use same port forwarding rule???

    I have two web servers, each configured to respond to http reqests on port 80.  I use NoIP service to map a domain name to my router. I create a port forwarding assignment for Server A by selecting the WebServer rule in the port forwarding rule table.  All is fine.  For Server B, I select the same Webserver rule and the router says there is a conflict.
    I don't understand why.  I think the router has enough information to route a http request for Server B by knowing its MAC address, which is different than Server A MAC address.
    What am I missing here???
    I was able to do this on my previous router with DD-WRT.....
    So it would appear the way to resolve this is to assign a different port address to Server B???
    grrrrrrrrrr I hate this router

    You shouldn't have been able to do that on any router.  You have to change the listening port of server 2, to 8080 or something like that, or make one a secure server and run it over 443
    That is a known issue with port forwarding
    Problem #8:
    Same Port in Multiple Rules
    There are some routers such as Linksys, D-Link and many others that do not do any checks if a port is already in another port forwarding rule. A port can only be forwarded to one Computer/IP at a time. So when there are multiples of the same port number the port forwarding rule will not work.
    Here is an example.
    As you can see port 2350 is in 2 rules. The 1st one points to a different IP than that of the 2nd rule. So the router will honor the 1st rule and the 2nd port forwarding rule to port 2350 fails.
    By removing the 1st rule the 2nd one will now work.

  • Customizing / Creating Email Notifications

    Ok, so I have asked this question already in an earlier post. About creating/formulating E-mail Notifications, based on Information gathered/input in a Customized User Form.
    Here is a copy of my previous posting
    =============================================================================================================================================
    I am in the process of customizing User Forms, and I would like to implement a trigger (if that's the right name for it) in the XML script, which will execute a Rule (or some code) that will result in an email being sent.
    For example, the following simple script (selection from a dropdown menu) :
    *<Field name='orderlunch'>*
    *<Display class='Select' action='true'>*
    *<Property name='title' value='Order Lunch'/>*
    *<Property name='allowedValues'>*
    *<List>*
    *<String>- Please Select -</String>*
    *<String>Yes</String>*
    *<String>No</String>*
    *</List>*
    *</Property>*
    *</Display>*
    *</Field>*
    A small XML code, to indicate an order for lunch.
    naturally, if the user selects "No", then nothing happens.
    But, if he selects "Yes", then I would like to automatically send an Email Notification to the appropriate person, notifying him that lunch has been ordered. (of course, I would need to indicate such things as WHO ordered the lunch, WHEN, etc, etc. But, I will get into that later)
    Does anyone know how this can be done?
    *(a) Could I insert the trigger/condition/whatever right into the main XML script itself?*
    Or
    *(b) should I write a code which will call on/invoke a separate Rule, which will subsequently send the email?*
    If (b) is the right answer, then how would I go about creating such a Rule, and linking it to the main XML script?
    ================================================================================================================================================================
    Apparently, my question is too difficult, since there were only a couple of replies, and nobody seemed to have a solution to the problem.
    So, I'll try to ask something much simpler : Is there ANY way to customize/create custom "E-mail Notifications"  in IDM ?

    >
    You should have read my answer to your previous post. Several people answered you already.
    *(a) Could I insert the trigger/condition/whatever right into the main XML script itself?*Yes. You need to call the rule. I'd do it on the validation stage but there's multiple ways of doing it and it really depends on your specific needs.
    *(b) should I write a code which will call on/invoke a separate Rule, which will subsequently send the email?*
    If (b) is the right answer, then how would I go about creating such a Rule, and linking it to the main XML script? See my previous post. It shows you how to call the rule. Defining a rule is relatively simple and is pretty well documented and there are existing examples in a default install of IDM that you can check-out and use as reference templates.
    Apparently, my question is too difficult, since there were only a couple of replies, and nobody seemed to have a solution to the problem.The question isn't difficult. It's just very broad. Lets see what you're asking:
    - rule definition
    - rule execution
    - an explanation of the various stages of form processing
    - an explanation of the various stages of workflow processing
    - how to call sub-tasks
    - how to customize sub-tasks
    - how to define email templates
    There's a lot there. You need to take some of what has been told to you in the forum and use that to guide your search in the existing documentation.
    >
    So, I'll try to ask something much simpler : Is there ANY way to customize/create custom "E-mail Notifications"  in IDM ?
    The answer is yes, but you're on your own in determining how to do that. You've become quite the jerk in this forum. Read the docs, go on some training if you can afford it. What you need to know about how to implement rules, email templates and custom notifications is all there.

  • Creating a server rule that watches for mail from an external user

    We need to create a rule that will watch for incoming mail from an external domain and then forward that mail to an internal distribution list. I don't want it to be tied to an Outlook user. Is this possible? I can't seem to find a way to do this.

    Hello,
    Please make sure your exchange version.
    If you use exchange 2007/2010, there is no this transport rule to realize it. But you can create a transport rule( from users inside or outside the organization; copy the message to addresses) to copy incoming mail from an external domain to your distribution
    list.

  • Port Forwarding Rules

    I had to do a factory reset on my MI424WR router while trying to get a security DVR accessable from the outside. I noticed that I have far fewer port forwarding rules now than before the reset.  Does anyone have a list of rules I "should" have. Or maybe a config file I can load?
    The issues now are that I lose connectivity with the net after the router runs for a couple hours.  I also lose the ability to log into the router.  Resetting the router clears it for a while, but then it dies again.

    The rules that should be in the router should be applied by Verizon or added by the router automatically as time goes on. For your case, just re-create your rules and see if anything breaks.
    For the router deal, consider disabling services like UPnP, the IGMP gateway, and the Firewall so the router runs in simplest form. Alternatively,  see if you can narrow down the disconnects down to a specific device or with bad Coax if you have a coax connection back to the ONT. Failing that, consider asking for a new router from Verizon.

  • To get list of mailboxes who have forwarding rules setup

    Hi ALL,
         I have exchange 2010. is it possible to get list of users who have mail forwarding rules set to external email addresses(like gmail.com or yahoo.com)
    TIA

    I started with your single user line and ended up with the following to get the rules for everyone including their name:
    foreach ($usr in Get-ADUser -Filter ({enabled -eq $true -and mail -like "*"}) -Properties mail) { Get-InboxRule -Mailbox $usr.mail | select $usr.name, name, description | fl }
    I put the output into a file which looks like:
    <person's name>:
    Name             : Fowarding all emails
    Description      : If the message:
                           the message has an attachment
                           and the message is Meeting Request.
                           and my name is in the Cc box
                           and my name is in the To box
                           and my name is in the To or Cc box
                           and my name is not in the To box
                           and the message was sent only to me.
                       Take the following actions:
                           forward the message to '@ymail.com'

  • Email Redirection Rule Issue

    We have on premise Exchange Server 2013. when creating an email redirection rule, the rule works just fine. the emails coming to certain recipients will be diverted to one service account. so far so good. but after some time (two to four weeks) the redirection
    stops and the only way to overcome this is by deleting and recreating the rule.
    Appreciate any tips

    Hi,
    first of all we should have to check whether the transport rule is applying or not .
    That can be achieved via transport pipeline logs and also by message tracking .
    You have said on your rule a email to specific recipients will be redirected to a single service account.
    1.Just enable the transport pipeline for the anyone of the recipient mentioned on the rule.Then check the logs you will came to know whether transport rule is applying or not .

    Note : Once you completed troubleshooting please disable the transport pipeline logs .
    2.Then do a message tracking for any one of the recipient there you came to know is there any transport agents or rules acting on that message or not .
    Please reply me if you have any queries .

  • Mail Forward Rule Not Working

    I have a few mail forwarding rules set which don't seem to be working. I see no forwarded emails in my send mailbox, and when I click the small arrow in the message window that indicates it has been forwarded, I get a message that says I must have deleted the message, which is not true. This is what the rule looks like:

    Mail rules only work on incoming mail. Once the mail is listed in your Inbox, the only way to use a rule is to manually run it. Given how rules work this may render your rule as non-working.

  • Lync Edge and Proxy server public DNS records port forwarding rules

    Hi All
    I have question in regards to port forwarding rules for port 443 of simple url.
    I have 4 public ip addresses.
    1 edge server (4 nics , 3 running with different ip for sip, meet and dialin in DMZ network, 1 connected to internal local network).
    1 proxy server (2 nics, 1 running with an ip which is in DMZ same as edge, and 1 connected to internal local network)
    1 front end (lync 2013 standard installed.) connected to internal local network
    1 office web apps . connected to internal local network
    The question is that I am using 3 public ip addresses respectively on public DNS records for sip, meet and dialin(av) and using port 443 which has been set on edge server. So , I can use 3 DMZ network ip address on edge for sip, meet
    and dialin (av) port forwarding from 3 public ip addresses as per in Microsoft document.
    However, I also have a reverse proxy .Hence, my understanding is all public DNS records except SIP and port 443 should be pointed and port forwarded to reverse proxy ip address which is in DMZ network as it would redirect 443 and 80 to 4443 and 8080 to front
    end.
    Now the question has been clear, if simple URLs public DNS record and port forwarding rules for port 443 should be pointed to reverse proxy server, why they need to be set on each ip address and port number in Front end server topology to edge server?
    If anyone knows, please give a help how to set it correct and what is supposed to be a correct configuration for a topology lync 2013

    Hi George
    Thanks for your reply. Attached is my topology which could make my it bit clear. You may see the public dns host record from the image. I set sip, meet, dialin , and owa 4 host records. The first 3 records are pointed to lync edge by doing a NAT with port
    443 which is the same as per you said. However my understanding is they should be pointed to reverse proxy instead as for instance, I need meet.xxx.com with port 443 to be redirected to port 4443 through reverse proxy server to the front end. So when the external
    customers who do not have lync client installed to their machine then we can shoot a lync meeting and send to them via outlook and they just need to click on join lync meeting link in the email to join in such a meeting based on IE. (Is my understanding correct?)
    If lync web meeting works like so , then the question is why I need to set three SAME addresses in front end topology builder for edge and make them point to edge server instead?
    1. Access Edge service (SIP.XXX.COM) ---> I understand that it is used for external login lync front end.
    2. Webconf edge server(Can I set to meet.xxx.com which is the same as simple URL that points to reverse proxy?) ----> If I can set this address to be the same as simple url address that points to reverse proxy, why should it need to be NATed to edge
    instead? TO BE HONEST, if I HAVE tested, if I set this url as sip.xxx.com which means to use a single FQDN and ip address with port 444 and points simple url meet.xxx.com to reverse proxy, it will still work to join lync meeting sent by
    outlook.I DO NOT REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT this URL used for at this stage.
    3. AV edge --- same as webconf
